[ROM] [CM10] [Kang] TimeLincoln's Linaro Hybrid - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Building CM10 with extra patches from CM gerrit and using the Linaro toolchain. Roms were built with -O3 and strict-aliasing (for packages that were compatible).
Updates can be found on my Google+: https://plus.google.com/u/0/106870161233159147936/posts
Builds will be updated only when there are major changes to CM10.

By far the best CM kang I have ran, I haven't flashed a ROM in 4 days, it's just running too well. Not sure why this thread isn't getting more love...

This looks serious - I like the G+ page, I'm going to flash it now.

Does this ROM have gapps built in or what gapps need to be flashed with this?

I'm using a 4.2 gapps with no issues, you could just grab the latest CM gapps package...

Like to 4.2 Gapps?
How's the battery life?
Also, what does Kang mean?

OP, mind linking your steps used to add the linaro optimizations to CM10? I used 4.2 for a little over a week and don't feel it's primetime ready and CM is still making changes to 4.1. Also do you know if your 11/12 build had all the changes up to CM10 release or not?

So what I did was sync CM, then start cherry picking patches from linaro's git and merged any conflicts that resulted from the cherry picks, i also made some modifications to the build git to build with different optimizations.

[ROM] [4.1.1] OFFICIAL codefireX Jellybean Nightlies

These are official codefireX JellyBean Nightlies brought to you by Synergy(e) and TeamCodefire. These use official CM device repos and are built from source nightly. THIS MEANS IT HAS ANY BUGS THE CM10 NIGHTLIES HAVE.
codefireX is a CM10 spinoff with the goal of providing additional power-user features (contained in the codefireX settings panel) while still maintaining full upstream CM compatibility for automated CM merges daily for the nightlies. This means the nightlies are fully up to date with the CM10 nightlies, however you get additional features as well! The codefireX settings panel will become more populated with features as this project progresses, and more device nightlies will also be added.
The codefireX github is HERE. Changelogs are not available, however you may use github (always current). The maintainer for this will not respond to questions on this thread, so please help your fellow android user out or visit twitter/IRC

Well what would you like to know. Sorry still learning git, hoping to have my changes up on github in the next couple weeks.

maybe you should put a rom features, screenshot, credits and others stuff like others rom thread...
it maybe have the same ui but people really like to it...Attractive thread can attract more people to test you rom :good::laugh:
You should try a compile with -Os or -Ofast
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
No point compiling with -Os because it only optimizes for size, not for speed, and no reason to compile -Ofast because it would be the sane as compiling with -O3 without strict aliasing anywhere which also wouldn't be as optimized for speed. I have toyed around with the idea of adding -unsafe-loop-optimizations, but I am scared of what it might break.

Are you sure this is full linaro? not just the kernel compiled with linaro?
You have set TARGET_TOOLCHAIN_ROOT to linaro toolchain in build/core/combo/TARGET_linux-arm.mk ?
If so, well done!
I'd be interested to see the changes you've made to the source tree to resolve the build errors. Is your code up on github?

[4/13/13][ROM][4.2.2]AOKP Unofficial Nightlies for Toro

AOKP JB-MR1 Unofficial Nightlies for the Toro
What is it?
A pure, untampered with AOKP Nightly based on Google's Android OS 4.2.2 direct from source, compiled by myself and uploaded for your pleasure.
Unless noted otherwise, these are straight merged nightlies from AOKP's github.
What's the difference between a nightly, a milestone, and a PUB release?
A nightly is only the officially merged changes to AOKP, added whenever it passes review codes and tests, as the changes come. A Milestone release is whenever there are enough significant changes to the ROM to where the AOKP team decides it is time to officially publish it and showcase it, and a PUB (Project Unicorn Butter) release is from a member of Team AOKP that adds different changes that haven't officially been merged yet. While most of the time these changes are considered stable, they have not been officially checked off yet.
Why?
Why not? I started compiling them for myself and decided to share with whomever also wanted the latest and greatest, free of buzz words and hype.
NOTICE!
For anyone that uses their phone in spanish it is a reported bug about force closes. If you are experiencing this, you will need to factory reset, setup the phone in english, then change the language used to spanish. I apologize, this is nothing particular to my build, but to AOKP in general for the time being. Thanks for your patience!
Changelog
Can be found Here and the current list of cherry picks is as follows:
Chronus built in as system app, updated direct from CM source
Features chronus preferences in rom control--->clock--->clock widget
Downloads
AOKP TORO 3/4/13
AOKP TORO 3/15/13
AOKP TORO 3/22/13
AOKP TORO 3/24/13
AOKP TORO 4/12/13
AOKP TORO 4/13/13
These nightlies will ONLY work on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus (TORO), flashing these will require a custom recovery, for your sake I hope you are on the latest either CWM or TWRP2. If not on the latest recovery you will receive the 0/0/0/0 folder error
The gapps package I recommend using can be found at this link, gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
The usual disclaimers and everything else still apply, so if you install this on a non toro phone, please don't blame me.
gapps flashing is still required, and I recommend nexus louder beta.
Credits
Team AOKP, in particular Pro Tekk for his amazing guide on compiling at RootzWiki
Dizzy Thermal, for supporting my crack flashing habit for quite some time
HTC and Sprint, for taking such a long time to put gingerbread on my Evo 4G and pushing me to root
Myn, for his amazing Evo ROMs, showing me how beautiful a custom ROM could be
The CM Team for Chronus
If you're enjoying the nightlies feel free to comment, ask a question, or hit the thanks button!
Thanks.

Updates were pushed last night you must have been unlucky and synced after they were pushed. My 15th builds don't suffer from the Google now system ui force close but the 14th builds did.

Unofficial or nightly

What is the difference between unofficial and nightly version of roms?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
The unofficial builds you see are being built by developers using code available (whether AOSP, CM, etc). Nightlies are daily (for the most part) builds pushed out by developers (a popular one being CM) which implement the latest changes, yet are to be considered unstable and have bugs within them. That's my understanding...hope it's right/answers your question.
