I noticed when i get a incomming call the ringtone is low then goes all the way high is there a way to change this?
To give yours a test to see if its doing the samething do this= Call your note 2 with a different phone of course and look at it when it rings u will notice the call is comming in and hear the ringer really low then it just explodes to super high.
It happens, its a Samsung thing.

Is this normal to happen with the note 2? I had a samsung exhibit 2 4g and it never did that but i heard others with the note 2 even the s3 having the samething happen to them.
I don't have a Note II yet, but check settings I would imagine you can change it.

There is no setting to change that. If yoy wanna to change that you could install a custom rom or maybe install a mod that developers offer in the theme section.
Good luck.

I think it's a touchwiz jelly bean thing because I have the note 1 running a custom leaked jelly bean rom and my phone rings the same way.
I kinda prefer that it works this way. Sometimes when you are expecting a phone call, you don't necessarily need the ringer to go off at full volume if you are going to answer it within a half second.

I can't take it anymore! I'm sick and tired of waiting for multi view update. This is absolutely ludicrous how we were the first US carrier with the Note 2 and the last with the update. So u know what? I rooted my phone today and loaded the Jedi Rom with multi view on it. At first I was one of those that wanted to keep everything stock, as I truly love this phone. It had everything I wanted except for the multi view. Im so glad I did this! Now I have multi view with all the apps. Awesome! This has truly opened up so many more possibilities. The only downfall at the moment is wifi calling. But I can live without.
So what say u dear fellow Note 2 owners? Are u guys tired of waiting or do u have extreme patience and are happy as Is?

I'm coming to same conclusion..will likely order by Thursday for Friday delivery & install Jedi ROM Saturday..
How much time should a noob set aside to: root, install Jedi X ROM & are you considering Perseus kernel for exfat?
I've got link instructions for root & Jedi X install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34900851&postcount=33 but what about installing Perseus kernel?
Probably would have bought the T-Mobile Note2 weeks ago if it had multi-view (but this ROM looks better than what T-Mobile will come up with)
-Thnx
Besides multi view what else did it get you? And is paper artist along with the other s-pen apps working? Other than music programs I didnt see anything built into either jedi that made it a must have. Did I miss something?

Also aloy smoother I experienced lag with tmobiles stock firmware. Idk but if ur holding back I wouldnt. And the jedi roms are legit and smooth. Plus I got the aosp theme looking so fresh.

I really like the features of this device Id never seen or atleast known about and don't really want to lose those functionalities. So , my question is .
Do you lose Spen functionality and / or Spen apps such as snote , drawing ect , Sbeam or say ability to swipe your hand over the proximity sensor to see the time and date on a sleeping device? Or any other note / note 2 exclusive features in jedi x romS?

Hello everybody
Some of you might noticed that the volume in some apps (youtube, navigon...) or even media (mp3) is quite low.
This issue is fixed in many roms like cm, xylon and so on.
I want to know if there is any possibility to increase the volume output on 4.2.1 stock, without having root.
thx
Yeah I would like to know too. My iPod touch is a whole lot louder! What gives Google?
Would love to know this too. In fact, the low volume makes me miss quite a few calls and messages during the day when I'm not in the same room as my phone. Also when I show someone a YouTube video the audio is sometimes near impossible to hear on the speaker. Would love to stick with the stock ROM so I hope there is an easy fix.

Make sure you installed the V6beta2 if you are on 4.2 or 4.2.1. There are two different ones. One is for 4.1.2 which I think the latest build is called "V5Omega" it's in the 1st post and the other is for 4.2 and 4.2.1 which the latest build is called "V6beta2" and that's his 3rd post. Me again.
I posted a few hours ago about a problem with my SMS and text messages not being sent if they were over 160 characters. After receiving help about that and since I'm trying to hit my 10 post mark, I figured I'd make another thread about the other problem I'm having.
So I'm running LiquidSmooth JellyBean 4.2.1 Beta 2 on my Sprint Galaxy S3 and I love it. The only problem I am having is that my headset, a basic Skull Candy headset with the button to stop/play music, mute/unmute calls and also fast forward and rewind music does not seem to be working. I mean I can hear music through them fine and the mic works fine for calls, but the button no longer works on this custom ROM. It was working fine on 4.1.1 stock.
Anyone else have this issue? Any help would be appreciated. It's not a big deal but it is nice being able to cut off my music without even taking out my phone.
Its most likely because JB 4.2 is still in development and doesn't have all the hardware features of the stock ROM built in yet
Definitely sounds like this is the issue since you said you had no problems on a TW rom

Hi, I currently have the SGS2 from T-Mobile and would like to give it to my mother-in-law and get the SGS3 for myself. I was wondering if there are any known issues for this phone? Like, currently, on the SGS2, using Wifi, I get calling issues, dropped calls, Audio issue...Someone said that there might be the same issues for the SGS3 as well...can anyone confirm this? What are some other issues that might have arisen?
Or maybe point me in the right direction for T-Mobile user issues...I have seen some of the other carrier ones, but I am concerned with T-Mobile....Thanks!!!

Roger on the OCD! I have my issues too....has anyone come out with a mod for that?..I can live with it. I'm hoping there's no performance issues like the S2 has with Wifi calling...everything else, I can probably live with....I hope....
I wouldn't call WiFi calling a "performance" issue but I would call it an issue with the s3. Comparing it side by side with my old G2X the s3 is a flop sad to say, with WiFi calling. I'm pretty sure 4.+ ROMs changed WiFi calling and made it terrible.
Other then that the S3 is a performance beast with tiny hardware stuff... screens having dead pixels, very un-common. loose hardware buttons, little tiny things like that.

WIFI calling works fine on stock rooted. I have no signal in my house (from any network) and rely on WIFI calling there - and I've never had an issue. I've heard some people are having issues that might have to do with their router set-up.

AOSP influenced is anything available for the SGS III that is not TouchWiz, CyanogenMod, AOKP, AOSP, Parandroid, SlimBeam and so and so on. None of those will have Wi-Fi calling built in natively. There are apps out there though be people stand by to do them well (BobSled) I think it is.

It doesn't have to do with rooting.. I am rooted right now and I can use every feature the stock phone comes with, but if you start flashing different roms and want to keep the same features like WiFi calling and a few others, you would have to look for a touchwiz based ROM..

Exactly. You should read more though if you weren't sure of those kind of things. Look into backing up your imei, and which recovery to use, and how to revert to complete stock after rooting and flashing. Best recommendations I can offer to someone so they don't have to make a thread on something that has been discussed countless number of times like others do everyday haha.

I'm not sure how in the world a stock Samsung/AT&T 4.2.2 Rom is going to outperform CarbonRom or Beanstalk.
And no I'm not looking for a debate about AOSP and TW Roms. Just an opinion.
The release date of 4.2.2 is still unknown for Note 2.

Samsung Galaxy S3 & Note 2 Android 4.2.2 Update Wait Over Shortly
That sure nails it down.
They point out :
The update will bring with it some new features along with fixing bugs. Owners will be able to resize apps, change their colour and their layout.
Welp, I can do that already with Roms that are built they way they should be out of the box.
CarbonRom with Crossbreeder and Xposed installed is insane.
I may flash back to be able to receive the update.
But it'll probably make me want to kick my own ass, and I'll restore back to heaven.

And after all that all I have to say is one simple thing Spen.
I am running AOSP right now the alternatives for the Spen are still nowhere near the seamless integration on a TW Rom, no discussion there.
If you dont care aobut the Spen then sure, who cares about TW Roms.
I get improves fps on games and benchmarks with the current ROM at the cost of some spen functionality...I wish i didnt have to choose.
Err..... did you even read what I wrote?

EDIT: Then again, I wasn't thinking. Once Team Zodiac and our other quality devs get their hands on the 4.2.2 source, the heavens will open up more.

I can't make the change because of the problems AOSP ROMS have with Bluetooth. I use BT a ton, don't want to have to do without.

This is what is so frustrating. If I could just use the most basic functionality of the phone I would be on 4.2. I have tried several, but have no choice but to return to 4.1 so I can use my phone safely in the car.

I use bluetooth in my car all the time and ive only used aosp roms and they all work great. I don't miss the s-pen at all. But I didn't buy it for the s-pen I bought it for the battery and the non-pentile amoled screen.

How do you place a call from bluetooth? Every 4.2 rom I have tried does not work for placing a call over bluetooth. This has also been a know issue from what I have read. Is there a fix?

I can't actually recall the last time I called anybody but i will try it out and let you know. I drive a Ford flex and i just hit the sync button and say phone then call whoever. But I will double check that it does work.
