Hey guys,
So I just recently flashed my s3 to paranoid android and I started realizing that I'm seeing all these emojis on Twitter and instgram
My questions is how do I use it? and where can I use it(like which apps)?
I have read on some sites where you type the word and it gives you a emoji menu but I haven't seen this at all.
Hope someone can help
Thanks in advance

This seems like a question fire the ROM developer that developed it. Don't see that problem for stock Dinc...

Did a google search for see emoji on android and found this. I have used this thread or one that is similar to this before. While it worked and I was able to see certain emojis that people were using (not 100% of them), you are never going to get the full emoji experience as you would with IOS. After using this the emojis do not show up as they would IOS but a different icon attempting to show the same emotion. It took me awhile to do this and wasnt pleased with the outcome because I was expecting a full experience. If I am wrong, please correct me because I would like to be corrected on this topic. I hope one day we will have a full emoji experience on Android.
Does anyone know how to take the Android faces off and put the original emoji faces back?

Search for a cm mms.apk that has them, and replace the apk in system/apps folder, check permissions, reboot, enjoy.

If you feel comfortable you can also decompile the mms apk yourself ^-^

Sorry I'm not trying to hijack this thread but how do you bring up that emoji window? I accidently brought it up once and was never able to do it again. Thanks.

I'm using LiquidSmooth but if you're using stock messenger, I think it's all the same. Regardless when writing a text, hit the Menu button and hit Insert Emoji. If you don't have Emoji Enabled go into your text settings and enable it by scrolling to the bottom of the menu and checking the box for Emoji Support . You could also enable nice little button next to your text input that is a shortcut into the Emojis so you don't have to hit menu everytime to insert them. You can do that by enabling that in the settings as well right below the Emoji Support option. Let me know if this helps or if you need clearer instructions.
About a week ago I googled modded cm10 emoji and found a thread with an apk with the regular emojis.

Was just wondering what if anything anyone is doing to deal with this?
Recently got added to one with a bunch if my friends and don't know how to participate in it.
I did a search and found a recommendation of GoSms with a few detailed settings, but it doesn't seem to be working for me(maybe because I added the app after the group had already been started?)
Any tips/suggestions would definitely be appreciated.

gosms works. enable mms for group text, then you should be good to go.
ive always been a fan of emoji, and i was a fan of how the emoji keyboard worked on ios. I was wondering if there was any way of installing an emoji language into the samsung keyboard (like you would do with english or Portuguese). I know some emiji are supported by android from the get go but for an unroot user like me, i havent found any way of being able to input those into text fields.
currently on stock 4.1.2 unroot w/gt-n7100
You can root. It's no big issue.

i know i know :/ but i've had the sudden death syndrome happen to me within like 8 days of getting my phone and luckily i wasnt rooted so it was still under warranty. I will eventually root. but for now i wanna stay in warranty if anything ever happens again. *paranoid
If you update to latest rom then you won't have this issue.

iOS emoji is mostly used via sms. I would recommend the easiest path of using a messaging app (I'm partial to handcent sms) that better supports emoji (color!) and its respective input method.
If you have other uses for emoji, you're mileage "stock" may vary.
