I have a little problem with m'y lt 18i when i try to make a phone call or i receive one thé reboot (yes a little problem ) when i had a stock rom il solved the problem by choosing wcdma only in network options now that's i have a cm 10 based ROM il dont know how to resolve it .
Dose anyone knows why this happen and what i can do ?

Wow. OK, there are 2 ideas that may help...
The one that should help a lot is to flash a base-band from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688049
The baseband suggested by CM10 teams is "72", but I know from experience that "77" works perfectly well.
After you flash the baseband (using flashtool), you need to flash the libs that go with it (using CWM).
The other idea is to go to "Settings", then the "More..." option just below "Data Usage", then "Mobile networks", then tick "Use only 2G networks".
This is the same as your earlier work-around, so it may or may not work.

thank you for your replay , i just flashed the 77 baseband and and the lib file , but still have the same probleme and when i choose 2g only the phone reboot again
should i maybe clear cache after flashing ?
edit even after clear cache and data the problem persist
Ok, then there's one last idea that might help.

There's a stock rom at the above thread that could maybe get your phone back to the way it was...
Otherwise you can search for threads that have images of stock roms.
Oh yes, one other thing.. if you are running pdroid, then be careful how you set it up. (I've made some weird mistakes trying my luck with permissions)
I hope you are not stuck with only SMS and whatsapp..

simple: make full wipe and install stock kernel with shipped rom. If your phone reboot again, then it's hardware problem

i d love to keep the jelly bean rom , my phone is just flying everything is very smooth . i'm not sure if it's a hardware problem cause as i said with stock rom and roms based on stock like sparta charge i had only to choose wcdma only and everything worked nice , i'll try to change the sim card to see if that makes change

i have no idea bout this problem
but if you flashed stockrom using odin and did hard reset should fix the problem.
make sure its not about a network trouble from the provider
you might try this...open setting>wireless and network>mobile network. untick use packet data. network mode, choose wcdma only. tick use packet data.

This is what i've done
1- Flashed to an Indian firmware version, no backup (my mistake). From that
moment, losed 3G/H connectivity
2- Flashed various firmwares, no success
3- Thanks to Doky, i was able to get the original firmware of my phone, installed it and change the country via *#272*_your_imei_# and reboot
4- Still with EDGE ....
In a previous flash, i used the "WCDMA Only", but i lost my mobile network .
Going to test in another phone to see if it's a provider problem .....

when i used "WCDMA Only", my current network changed (i'm from Colombia, my SIM is movistar, changing the setting changed the current network to Tigo) ....

Tried with Doky recomendation ... still EDGE ... not sure if i have to do a factory reset after the flash (tried without factory reset)
i have the exact same problem... flashed to an indian firmware (no backup), then only edge...
It's not a network provider problem... it's somethng wrong with the firmware

Hi, I am from panama and i have the same problem after flash with indian firmware, no backup before that (my mistake too) and i lost my 3G signal, only EDGE I was trying everything, reset factory, only wcdma, flash my phone with others roms and nothings happen, still EDGE. There's something special with that version ? ... i'm trying to not flash my phone unless the firmware has any sort of light to solve my problem (avoiding factory reset ... my phone must be dizzy ... so many resets ... )

After going to a custom rom and kernel from a complete stock setup I cannot get a data conection on my phone. All other features work perfectly (Call, sms, wifi etc) just no 3g/2g data connection, or icon in the status bar. the Settings menu indicates it is turned on.
I have exhausted all available options regarding kernel/rom troubleshooting including a complete reinstall on the above rom/kernel. I also experienced this problem with other roms and kernels.
During setup I follow the setup app and download the apn settings for Crazy Johns (my carrier) and they report as being installed.
My question:
If anyone who is using Crazy Johns currently and has it working could please post their apn settings (text or screen shot whatever is easier) so I can compare these to mine and change as necessary.
Any and all suggestions for fixing this are welcome.

Yeah, tried getting it sent to me, entering it in manually, even tried entering various variations of it I had found on the net. Still no connection.
Everything worked perfectly when it was stock, and when i first flashed a new rom onto the phone (arconium 8.2 i think) it worked then too. but every rom since it hasn't.
I'm still quite new to this and my knowledge isnt too deep yet.
Could flashing roms or kernels effect the serial numbers of my phone or something and now my carrier doesn't recognize my phone?
I do still receive calls and sms...
It's got me beat!

Hmmm I think you phone is fine must be just the settings.
What does it say? Any errors? Can you grab a log too see if it says something there. Check my Sig for how to get logs etc.

Well props to you, you were right in suggesting it was settings related. I tried a different sim card from a different carrier and after following the setup procedure I had a 3g data connection. This of course means the problem lies with my sim card/carrier settings and not the rom or kernel.

I had big problem with wifi in my wildfire s. Smartphone doesn't search any network. When I turning on wifi, on screen shows "Searching wifi networks..." And... nothing else...
Now I had CM10.0, on stock 2.3.7 it was the same.

Haha its ur lucky day cuz I had this prob and I successfully fixed it
Steps:
1.Remove the battery and the sim card
2.Insert the battery and boot into cwm
3.Do a clean wipe then a clean install of your ROM
4.Reboot and the WiFi is working
5.Remove the battery and re-insert the battery and the sim card
6.reboot
7.if the problem did come back so go to system settings then WiFi then press menu and click on advanced then click on WiFi region code and choose Europe
8.Congrats your WiFi is working

I have the same problem with my device :crying: , and i tried to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvic cashe, and wipe battery stats too, then reflash zip file into my device and i got same problem, but it is worth mentioning that my WIFI working properly once at first time i use smart phone after flashing zip file .
then i tried also to install WIFIx Manager app whome manage wireless connections but nothing changed .
I download another release of CM and i tried flash it into my device, and also it gave me same problem, and i flashed another rom from another serirs "not CM" and WIFI working perfectly, so there isn't hardware damage .
please help us,, i tried too many soluations and i got nothing, Finally i'm sorry for my weak english .

I tried to flash other kernels many times but... still not working
I'm sure that must be a hardware problem. It can be repaired?
I've flashed Xperia Z Jelly Bean v4 (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267230&highlight=data) on my Arc S and I can say its so fast and so beautiful.
The only problem I have is that I cant connect to mobile data 3G however my APN settings are correct
I flashed BB-77 too as recommended by one of the users in the thread and it didnt work as well
So what should I do now ?

Were you able to use the 3G connection before this ROM?
My current advice - Ask from your operator, if the 3G connection is enabled for you.

Are you sure you have "Data enabled"? Try to reboot your phone.

Yes I was able to use 3G before this ROM and i contacted my operator and 3G is enabled already
Does that have anything to do with the baseband ??

I said it because in GB Roms you must flash an additional libraries, but i dont had used CM10 based ROMs so i can just can guess, check the baseband threads.
By the way, sometimes my phone "losses" the data connection for a while (the icon dessapear even if the data connection is active). It just happen like 2 times since a got it, but after some time it comes back.
Flash latest stock 4.0.4 and then install Xperia Z Jelly Bean v4.

Well, in the thread I flashed something called Xperia Arc S 4.1.B.1.13 Vodafone DE firmware and they said it's for increasing system and data memory for Arc user and latest BB. You think this is the problem ?!
the phone is not set to gsm only?
look at settings - more - mobile network - uncheck 2g
also look at the accesspoin and choose the right one
Guys please this is really urgent and I did everything I could
Last thing i did was flashing every stock thing on the phone, stock GB, stock kernel, stock baseband and nothing changed and data mobile is still not working

have you tried calling in other kitkat roms???
If calling works on other roms then it is rom issue. if calling does not work on any other kitkat rom, then it is operator issue.
I am running this rom only. Thus far, no RIL related issue has occured.
Did you follow the right steps,i.e,did wipe data/factory reset,wipe cache partition,wipe dalvik cache???
yep...i've formated cashe, data, preload, system, dalvik .... same thing ....ran out of ideeas
under the "about phone" menu on "Phone network state" sais disconnected ....
Then I think you should try selecting your operator manually.

Flash modem file through odin.
Search the forums for instructions.
EDIT: Hmm.. if it is showing good signal, then issue might be something else. Check IMEI, if it isn't all 00000....
APN Setting as well.

The IMEI is good. Compared it with the one on the back of the phone ....
And btw ...when i select the network manually i get the confirmation massage "registered to the network" it shows full signal no matter the zone that i'am in and can't initiate or receive calls...
Should i mention that i had ALOT of 4.4.2 roms installed ...the problem started when i flashed your rom
I think the problem is related to the modem 'cause when i the flashed stock-based rom from BaliBoxer everything works like a charm...
Before opening this thread i've read all the posts from the RR rom and nobody else had the problem that i have ...
Maybe tomorrow ill' try to flash RR again now that the problem is fixed. IMO i have a good chance it will work ...
PS: this forum is a very nice and constructive community but the posting rule is RETARDED ....If i were able to post on the RR rom topic maybe some ppl that had the same issue as i had and didn't bother posting can come forward....
