[Q] Adjust Bluetooth Call Volume when screen is off. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the bluetooth call volume when the screen is off. This always worked on the HTC EVO 4G, never even had to find a solution it just worked out of the box. On the GNex i can adjust the music volume when the screen is off, but not the call volume. I'm running aokp toro jb milestone 1. I don't see any options in the system Sound settings or the AOKP Sound settings. Can anyone offer any advice here?

[Q] CM7 RC4 Problem

I've had this happen on RC2 as well...
After I've put the volume all the way down (vibrate only mode) and then turned the volume back up, none of my notification sounds will play. When I get sms/email the vibrate will go off but not the tone. I've checked Handcent and GMail settings and they both have a tone selected. However, once I get a txt/email, only vibrate no sound. My call ringtones, volume up/down, apps, music..etc works, but no notification.
Anyone help?
Grab Audio Guru from the market. It lists out all the system sound modes and lets you control all six of them individually. I had this happen once and found one of my sound controls set to zero. Used the slider in Audio Guru to increase it to max, problem solved.

[Q] Increase in-call volume

Is there a way to increase in-call volume past the default maximum? I tried disabling voice privacy, using Volume+ and manually editing build.prop, all to no avail. I'm running the VZW (LTE) Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks!
Wait on Samsung to use decent speakers in the GNEXII?
I agree it's annoying. The speakers (earpiece and external speaker) are junk. Shocked that they actually sourced such crappy hardware for a "flagship" phone.

I think my phone is defective. I can't change the IN CALL volume while on a call. Using the volume rocker, you see it move up and down on the screen but the volume stays the same.
I have the same problem
I'm really frustrated. The in-call volume on my phone is so quiet, I can barely use it unless I'm in a quiet environment. I have installed volume+, which works great to boost sound level of rings, noises, and music playing from the speaker. But the Volume+ settings for bluetooth and in-call do nothing.
It's funny... when I'm on the bluetooth speaker phone for my car and call someone, it's loud for the first ring, and then much quieter from the second ring onward.
If someone could help fix this problem, I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks,
Kevin
I'm still on stock... so that might be my problem. I have a Motorola Oasis BT and love it, but when I hit the button for voice dialer, it's always at half volume. It resets back to that EVERY TIME! I hate that it can't confirm what it thinks I said. I've dialed so many wrong people... UGH! This has to be a Google issue. I only wish CD+ worked with 4.0. The programmer told me there is no way it will ever be updated to work.
The sound volume through the BT is nothing like my EVO. Even my loud talkers I can barely hear now even on the highest settings.
I want to root the device and hope something comes out to fix it. I drive a truck and need to hear without having to pull off the road.

[Q] ICS Volume Question

I may be missing something, but it doesn't appear that you are able to separate ringer and notification volume anymore. This is critical for me, because I am on call 24/7 and need the ability to turn down my notification volume, yet keep the ringer volume on max to wake me up.
I'm running ICS Slim v1.4

Try RingDimmer https://market.android.com/details?id=com.michaelpardo.ringdimmer you can find it in the android market for about a dollar
I found a better app made specifically for the volume changes in ICS

[Q] CM9 Nightly - Change ringer profile when (un)plug headphones?

I've been running the CM9 nightlies on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus for a while and have been loving it, but I've noticed that when I plug in headphones or unplug headphones my ringer profile will change occasionally. I set my ringer using profiles with Locale, so I really don't like my phone suddenly changing from vibrate to full volume ringer while at work. Is this a bug or a feature of CM9? If it is a feature, is there a way I can turn it off? Has anyone else run into this? Any guidance would be appreciated.

CM9 seams to have separate volume settings for headset in / out. Any changes you make to any volume settings while the headset is plugged in will revert to what the settings were before plug in when the headset is unplugged.
There is also a setting for safe headset volume that reduces the volumes to a safe level when your headset is plugged in.

Right, but it is changing the phone ringer volume when I (un)plug my headphones. I don't know why if the last time I had my headphones plugged in my phone was on vibrate, the next time I plugged my headphones in I'd necessarily want it to be on vibrate again. I suppose you've answered my question, I just don't particularly like the implementation of the feature... :-/

Personally I think the feature sucks, I've just learned to live with it. It wouldn't be so bad if you could disable it with a setting.

I'm getting this in CM9.1 (on SGS2, but this is the only thread I can find on it).
Is there any way to disable this? It's making my location aware profiles pointless!

In-call volume stuck at half with bluetooth to car

I am having an issue where when attached to my Bluetooth in my car I can not adjust my in-call volume in my phone. It gets stuck at 50%. I can adjust media volume no problem when playing music and can adjust the in-call volume in other Bluetooth devices like my buds+ and galaxy watch.
Any ideas how to fix this? It results in either very quiet call volume or when the call ends the music is crazy loudly.
I have this same issue.
Me too
Don't suppose anyone has managed to resolve this yet? It's still happening with me with Android 11 update.
Disabled absolute volume?
Make sure volume limiter is not enabled.
Clear system cache.
Reset network settings.
I have the same problem on tcl 55p83 ( RT851)
bluetooth max volume is limited to 50%
Any help ?
I have the same issue.... Just figured it was normal to keep distortion or feedback at a minimal?? But, maybe it isn't?
