There's a group of user that can't install in any described way the CWM Recovery.
My question is: is there any way to root the phone without CWM ?
And.. Is there any way to install a Custom ROM via Fastboot or any other method (without CWM?)
Thanks! :good:

I think that no CWM recovery will work on my Wildfire S because I'v read that for lasts devices there's an updated video driver that cause error recovery's boot.

I've tried every method described on the index and in other forums.
The conclusion, as i wrote before, is that we have something different about our video part that blocks the booting of the custom recovery.
Thanks for the link, I'll try :good:

I found Jelly Sandwich too slow so I down graded to this stock ROM. Now when I run the root for scripting I get a bunch of permission denied messages and it doesn't work. How can I root the phone? I can't unlock the boot loader.
Before asking questions that have been asked a thousand times try searching in future. how to root arc
you have to download and flash a rootable ftf. Here's one for arc s

According to this thread with a locked boot loader custom kernels can't be flashed. Is it that you can flash stock kernels but not custom ones?
yep. stock kernels you can flash because they're stock - stock ics already uses them. custom ones, you can't.
If you hAve Xperia pro then follow the below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801480
And if not pro then follow the procedure and use you phone kernel.
If I helped you press thanks.

As soon as your bootloader is unlocked you can flash any kernel which mostly will have CWM included.

Good day..
I have a noob question , im just a beginner.
I have Xperia Arc S . Id like to install CM10_anzu but when I flash the recovey namely "boot.img" from the zip
using fastboot or flashtool it gives me "Device needs a root" error etc... But I am definitely rooted.
What am I doing wrong here. ?
thanks ... Good Day.
I think you need to unlock your bootloader to use fastboot. I guess thats problem, but maybe someone smarter will answer you correctly
Thank you for a suggestion.

Sure Here it is : http://d-h.st/users/philz_touch/?fld_id=16046#files
Its a problem with the updated touch drivers from base 3.16 and higher up.
Twrp has a working touch one but the ums is broken. Only the philz recovery is fully working as of yet ..... afaik
The only thing is that ums takes a long time to mount. In my case around 40 seconds. That's all.
Ow and i also sent you a link by pm

I did that....
Had to flash the stock again root install cwm again Rom. But it is the same everytime, evn aftr flashing kernel it always dead. I was trying to instsll another Rom and thn it went to brick mode then aftr lot of search I found to flash stock Rom so downloaded ftf of. 96 an then flashed it started working again I did rooting and installation of cwm again new Rom and it is going on and on right now im using stock Rom frm Sony and it is rooted had not gone further.
How do I solve this now?
so means your phone isn't dead ,so after you flash can't boot, I think you had better to check if you are unlock your boot loap or not, If you have unlocked, I think need to flash new boot for your rom, not only kernel.

right now ,you can flash customer rom, just choice what you want from the furom.Just before you flash the rom, follow the information which the developer said.
Another way is to get to customer service center.
