Just received my GN from Expansys a few days ago (I'm in CA) and I'm looking for the right insurance for it. Does anyone have any advice on which one to go with? Do they both cover grey market devices? Does anybody have any experience with either one?

I called sqauretrade about my imported GN... They said that they might not cover it because it is a black market products... He said that if you can get it serviced in America, then they could cover it. But if you need to send it out of the country in case of a repair, it sounded like they won't warranty the product.. I use sqauretrade for all my new appliances so I know their good, I would just give them a call and tell them you have a imported phone...
Squaretrade will NOT cover this phone.
Ensquared will.

Thank God I read this! I was about to purchase 2 warranties for my Nexus'!
Have any details on the deductible or how much the plans cost?

Bought my square trade warranty online... bummer if they won't honor my warranty. I listed where I bought the phone. Its not black market its grey market. The site will insure eBay products so this doesn't make any sense. If I could use the Samsung warranty I would never have needed this! Nothing in their agreement said anything about not insuring my phone.

Negri will warranty the phone for 1 year, but they just send it to Sammy for you.
This ensquared warranty sounds interesting as I emailed SquareTrade back when I first bought it and they said they would NOT cover it.
This is definitely interesting. Does anyone have any experience with Ensquared? I have never even heard of them...

I wonder if squaretrade will honor a claim on my GN. It is purchased from Dailysteal, and the item page says nothing about imported, US plug charger inside the box. I even uploaded the receipt and it says approved on the warranty page.
same here. They have the receipt and everything. My phone is Korean with a little banding but it gets great banding and UV/of well so I'm just going to keep it. Would have rather had the Chinese made model

That has nothing to do with anything. If it is not a Verizon Galaxy Nexus it came from Europe, whether your charger is US or not.
There was a huge thread on this in Q&A a while back and Squaretrade will not cover a GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Hmmm i'm looking at the ensquared one for my Canadain Nexus. I mean that seems to be a good price for insurance i just never heard anything about them. Can anyone vouch for them ?
Guys, I really don't think Ensquared covers the international GN.
From their terms: http://www.ensquared.com/1_Year_Phone_Insurance_Terms.htm
Under exclusions:
Covered Products not readily available in the United States through Communication Service Providers (overseas unlocked phones).

I honestly really don't see any company offering insurance for a grey market item. The only way I see to have a warranty is through Negri or Expansys, who will physically handle the phone for warranty work in the UK.
This morning I had to place an insurance claim for my Galaxy Nexus with Ensquared. They took the claim and said I should have the new device within 1-2 business days. I'll keep you guys updated.

Yes and $75.
Damnit, I just bought a Squaretrade warranty through eBay for my GSM Gnex. If they don't cover it, is there any way to cancel my warranty?
EDIT: Just got off the phone with Square Trade. They said since my phone was purchased on eBay it will be covered under their warranty. *phew*
I bought the phone through newegg, and purchased their 1 year ADH phone warranty, is that good, or did i make a mistake?
So Sprint is gonna dive the S3 for 50$ the Nexus free and how about the Note 2?

I have a hard time believing Amazon isnt going to drop price this phone over the next few weeks. Last year i got 4 E4GT's - 1 for $79 and 3 for $0.01. I dont expect the GN2 to be $0.01 but where does it say this phone will be price locked ? Anybody have any proof ? I cant imagine it staying at $299 for too long on Amazon no matter what during this holiday season. Bought 1 for $79 the week of thanksgiving and then the week after all the phones went for $0.01 until Dec 19th or 25th whereabouts. This high price is killing me. Trying to hold off...

Best evidence I know of is the arbitrary upgrade pricing release date of 1/1/2013 long after seasonal sales. $299 is only for new contracts as of now.

I think best buy price matches sprint off contract price though.
Well I went to sprint and the phone is actually 700 because of an off contract purchase fee. I left because that's bull. So their actual price is a lie. So after tax its 740. So I will find one on Craigslist hopefully sooner than later. The only plus is no activation fee on off contract phones

I would recommend to switch to your carriers warranty or any insurance that covers stolen/lost. I had Bestbuy's warranty and they do not cover stolen phones, at the time I had bought a brand new iPhone 4 and it was stolen after a week of having it. Bestbuy told me I was SOL...
Does Squaretrade cover stolen phones?
It does not cover lost or stolen. It covers damage or problems after the manufacturers warranty is over. I bought this through Amazon this week for 99 for my Galaxy Note 2. I usually do not buy warranties but received a $100 Amazon gift card for a work contest. So I decided to get the 2 year accident warranty. Nice thing is it can be transferred with the phone!
Do you get a new phone or refurb if phone is accidentally broken beyond repair?

just informed that the galaxy note 2 for tmobile will increase to 11.99 bundle 7.79 insurance only on 3/17 and deductible of 175 instead of 130.
Wow, that sounds a little high. I hope mine doesn't get lost again. I guess I'll consider myself lucky I had to replace it before this.

Squaretrade, I don't understand them. $99 for two year coverage and $50 deductible on the iphone 5 64gb that retails for $799, or $125 for two years coverage and $99 deductible for the $699 note 2. Or the $299 nexus 4.

The more popular the phone = less the deductible because the percentage of people actually breaking their phones is probably less than those that don't. In the end they make more money.
Not doubting you, but then the S3 should be the same price as the iphone.

Probably has quite a few more factors into the price, they might want to appeal to apple care folk maybe?

From my understanding, if you already have the grandfathered php, it won't increase to 11.99 unless you remove it or add it on after. could be wrong but that's my understanding. As its this early anything is possible.

As far as not counting for grandfathered plans, I've had insurance for a long time, still on an old plan and we've been with T Mobile for over 10 years since they were voice stream.
The insurance on my note 2 is still going up to 11.99
