Why can't I turn it on - HTC One X

As title says I can't turn the vibration for the capacitive buttons on

For some reason I can't see your thumbnail. Do you have a Jelly Bean ROM? Is Power Saver mode enabled? This disables the capacitive vibration feedback. Try unticking power saver in the notification bar if it's checked.
EDIT: Screenshot appeared. You do have power saver enabled (the battery with the leaf in the title bar). Disabling that should solve your issue, let me know if not.

[Q] Droid incredible capacitive button lights?

Is their any way to turn off the capacitive button light on the droid incredible? I am rooted and am willing to install some zip files if I have to.
so your wanting to disable the leds lights for the bottom buttons of the phone? (phone menu back search?)
Are you wanting to disable them for good or just to be able to toggle them on or off?
in the market, free app. LEDS Hack. Latest version works great with the froyo builds. I turn off the notification icon as I don't' like it in the notification bar, too big. It warns that it might cause issues but I haven't had any in the time I've used it.
You can also control the notification light at the top too.
Yeah I want to be able to toggle them on and off. I'm rooted running skyraider Rom 2.5.2. Is their any way I can do this ?

Count another vote for LEDs Hack. I use my phone as an alarm clock replacement and it's great to be able to turn them off.

Brightness control on notification bar

Is this only on certain launchers? Which ones have it?

any launcher.. just turn off automatic brightness.
If you turn off auto brightness, you can control the brightness by swiping left and right on the notification bar
On froyo I had to disable power saving mode under settings>display. Then the brightness setting on the power bar started to work for me.
Thx for the info

Still doesn't work for me
Can somebody put a screen shot of where I should swipe
Thx in advance

It's pretty much impossible to show in screenshot form since it would only show the screen itself not the swiped area, but the easiest explanation is to just touch the upper area enough for the beginning of the bar to come down then swipe either left for dimmer or right for brighter

[Q] Adjust brightness

Hi
I just flashed MIUI rom on my wonder.
Then I noticed, I dont get the function to adjust my screen brightness via the status bar anymore.
So, is it possible to get that function in MIUI rom using any mod or whatever?
Thanks !
I've noticed that every time I flash a different custom ROM, *somehow* the auto brightness has been enabled which prevents the status bar brightness swipe from working. Check to see whether auto brightness has been enabled, if it has, none of the settings in the phone will disable it. What you're going to have to do is download an app called Battery Doctor and use it to disable auto brightness. Then you should be able to set up the swipe function in the normal way.....
This method worked for me.....
Don't forget the thanks button if this helped...

[Q] CM 10.1.3 Always on Capacitive button lights?

Is there anyway to have the capacitive back and menu buttons always be lit up? Touchwiz would allow you to do this but I recently upgraded to Cyanogenmod and this is bugging me like crazy. It only allows you to turn it off or have it turn on and off intermittently. I have seen plenty of threads on how to disable the backlight or the buttons completely but is there a way to just enable the backlight always on like in TW?
On 10.2.nightly: Settings / Buttons / Backlight ... Slider all the way to right is "Don't turn off"".
Betcha your battery goes south fast.

Screen not locked during call

Is it the usual habit that the screen is not locked during a phone call? I'm always pulling down the notification bar and turning on/off items with my ear. The proximity sensor is working, cause I'm using it for the lock-in-the-pocket function.
Is there a way to lock the notification bar?
Also, is there a function to disable the power button when the screen is locked? I'm talking about the reboot function.
