Recently I was read a review from Droid Life and I am interesting with Keyboard Screenshot. My Question is How To Display Sub Symbol on our keyboard? In my #GNote2 there are no sub symbol.
Can anybody show us how to make it happen? Here is the screenshot form Droid Life with Sub Symbol displayed very Nicely

No.
That I really mean is
Check the screenshot above. You will find that on Q symbol there are sub symbol +, S have sub symbol @ and many more. That I really want it how to display this sub symbol?
On my #GNote2 there are NO SUB SYMBOL like on Droid Life Screen shoot above.
On the Android 4.2 keyboard if you long press the period you get more punctuation options. Same for other punctuations & symbols as well. Depends on what you press and what else you may be looking to use. Commas and quotation marks are other examples. What you get also depends on what you writte. Long pressing the dollar sign gives you other currency symbol options. I don't know all the possibilities.
Looks like the stock Samsung keyboard to me.
The emote button appears in certain apps, gtalk is one of them, as someone already mentioned.

A far I know, the screenshot from Droid Life is Stock Galaxy Note 2 Keyboard and not Android 4.2
Any Clue about it's please?

Maybe it was there on an earlier version of a firmware then Samsung removed it? I have tried everything to achieve a keyboard format like that, but nah, no luck!

Just realised another thing. Notice that it also has a separate comma button. unlike the note2 which has only customisable button (left of the comma)
Thanks All for you answer... I still waiting from Droid Life answer and still no luck too
That's interesting.. would love to see those symbols enabled since it's annoying to have to click 3 times to add a question mark. Let us know what you find!
Still waiting anyone that can solve this problem
same one I have
I just bought my att note 2 fri it has the same sub symbol keyboard. It is 4.1.1 if that help.

It looks very clean with the icons and no labels under them, how did you do that?

The SGSII phones don't need an app to take screen shots. Samsung included this feature on the phones. Take a screen shot by holding the power & home buttons at the same time. Hope this helps.

I have the swype beta installed on my mom's thunderbolt, and it works well. But I much prefer the look of the Swype that's made for the Nexus S, the one included in teh Unnamed rom, http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/6549/swype.png . I like the way it looks, the only thing I don't like anymore about the new Swype keyboards is the inclusion of the language button, I only type in English, so I don't want the option to switch languages lol.

IMO, these are the best softkeys as they allow you to mod the stock ROM to have 4 keys and enabled long-press on Home for recent apps and long press on Search as well. Basically, the good old layout we all know and love.
Spoke with the author and it appears these have been abandoned. Anyone willing to take on remaking them for 4.0.4?
(Sidenote: Would love to see the Motorola layout one updated M-H-B-S)
[MOD][4.0.2] Softkey and 1% mods
[MOD] AXI0M 2.4 BASED SoftKey & 1% Mods 76 and counting [1/9/12]
I would love to see this as well. I personally would love the HTC layout (H-M-B-S), but the important part is the long-press home for recent apps and long press search for voice search.
I like that to! Very good idea!
So anybody?????
Thanks.

Unfortunately, that does not add the 4th key, neither does it change the key layout or add the abilities of long-press Home and long-press Search. And definitely not something as elaborate as a dedicated Menu key.

I did miss Swype for the couple weeks I had my phone and it wasn't available, never installed the "hacked" ones..
Where can we download that beautiful theme of yours!?
It's the newest version, but uploading Swype is a violation of XDA rules since Swype asked them to politely to refrain from sharing. Wouldn't want to get into any trouble. The search results being themed is part of my google widget theming and is listed in the theme forums here.

I still can not download german language for Swype. What a bull****...
Wow they finally got rid of that horrid black box that pops up for word choice. That's why after about a year of using Swype I tried all the other alternatives, and then with the Galaxy Nexus I gave up and just went with the stock keyboard and was just starting to get used to it even if its painfully slow compared to swyping >.>
ITS SO MUCH BETTER NOW. Can't believe it took so long to get rid of that ****ty menu
Only thing I miss from stock is the new voice input where you can pause for as long as you want and hit END when you're done, and also being able to long touch on the suggested words list to pull up a big word list overlay with all the words you could use there, instead of swiping left or right.
Anyone downloaded another dictionary?
I uninstalled and re-installed the installer and then the app.
I now have:
3.26.92D.38308.t0.8611.ENSP
on my Nexus S
This appears to be the latest version (if the swype-beta-integrates-dragon-go-ice-cream-sandwich-support-2 page on the nuancemobilelife website is to be believed)
Went to download English (UK) and it says "queued for download..."
