Hi,
I am on Dk_Zero ICS (a discontinued ROM now, btw) and I would like to now if I should change to another ICS ROM, upgrade to a JB ROM, or stay on this ROM.
What do you think about that ?
Thanks in advance.
Since neither work 100%, from that position I'd say upgrade.
And what would you actually recommends in all ROM, GB and other versions included ?

I like this one as well. Otherwise I'd use CronMod by croniccorey. Both seem to be quite stable

Hi, i have some quastions about the miui v4 roms.
-I am on stock sony ICS rom so do i need to flash a kernel ?
-Is it good for every day use ? (stable)
-How smooth is it compared to the stoch ICS rom ?
I posted it here because I can't post it the devolper section, because of the 10 posts.
It wasn't a question for devs section anyway....
All the indications are on the official MIUI page.
- I think that you have to flash a custom kernel.
- It is stable and quite fast. The overall experience comes from the number of apps installed....

-Naw. Miui v4 can be used with Stock kernel.
-Not from my experience. I tried it last weekend, and basically everything is slow.
-Way worse. I don't recommend using it. I recommend using GB MIUI instead.
Think I wait for a while, bootloader is still locked so keep that way until it works good. But thanks for reply's
I have the HTC Wildfire, rooted. Now im wondering which roms beside cm7 are good?
I need a rom thats fast and stable?
what do you suggest? sense roms or what?
There are so many wonderful ROMs available.
I would advice you to try them all and decide what you want to stick with.

ah i would like but i dont have so much time to try all, thats why im asking here what people think..
i dont care if its and cm, sense, or whatever type of rom, i just want a fast and stable rom
Okay mate, then you should go with Rempuzzle Rom,its fast and stable at the same time and its quite beautiful as well.
Some day give CM9 a try,it has few bugs but still its awesome,I'm in love with it.

Here is CM9 for the Wildfire: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344
I have just installed it and it's beatiful!
It works pretty fast and there are not so much bugs, so I think I'm going to use it as my main ROM
Since wildfire stock is sense rom. Then I would think you should try rom other than sense first. May be CM7 (Gingerbread) and CM9 (ICS) rom. If you still like to stick to sense rom then try Rempuzzle, Froyo rom with partial sense 4 skin.
thanks for the link ) i dont know willbi try it right now,but i will follow this thread until i see the few bugs fixed.. for now the 7.2 is working great for me.. one thing that i would love to have is either a miui or cm9 rom.. but we will see..
i have one more question, its off topic ,but how can i make my statusbar transparent?

The title of thread says it all. What JB based rom is best for now, for everyday usage, if any? I'm using seb's AIO 6.1.1. and I'm very satisfied, but now I would like to try something newer. Than you.
Jelly Bean and Everyday Use doesn't come in pair, for now.
Unless you're fine with glitchy camera, broken camcorder, not working flash, 3G/GPS issues, not working USB tethering / wifi hotspot.
Obviously it doesn't have Butter either, which is main JB improvement.

vijendrahs's miui jelly bean rom seems very stable. the only issue I have faced, you should activate the a2sd script.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850436
I think you should try and decide for yourself. Many of the JB roms seem to be based on Nikez roms. Nikez has got a matrix of what is working and not working in his web site.
I used Nikez for some time. I liked it. It has got its plus and minus. I loved the soft keys(my keys have started acting up). GB does not have soft keys. But I missed the status bar toggles especially the 2G/3G. I had to switch because for some reason I could not restore nandroids. It doesnt seem to happen to everybody. And of course the constant wiping, installing and setting up tired me out finally.
i use paranoid Android hybrid 2.20, modified a little by myself with int4ext, smooth and stable.camera preview kind of work. customMTD repart system 220mb ,so i have more data.

I use since yesterday [ROM/4.1.2] [Oct 19 2012] CM10 | Jelly Bean 4.1.2 - v1.0. This Rom ist fantastic:good:. There are some little Bugs but this is 1.0.
Update should come...
How about for the CDMA version of the Desire? Any recommendations?

I like very much the JB:CM10:HYBRID, which is based on evervolv with CM10 settings and paranoid android mode.
I find it as stable as Nikez (it is based on the same code anyway) and it is updated every few days.
Any new suggestion now?

For daily work I'm using PARANOIDANDROID v3.10b2
very stable, no soft reboots for me
I use the slim Rom 1.0. This is indeed Android 4.1.2 but this Rom is stable so far. My Problem is the Softreboot after deinstalling app (not always).
This has many features. I love this :fingers-crossed:

Lucky boy!..but on the log it's written that a lot of stuff aren't working.."Stock camera, preview is tearing, open "recents" and tap on camera and it should be fine
Stock videocam is choppy
Tethering
SMS Quick-reply shortcuts might cause reboots
Long-press home doesn't work"
is it true or not?
For me AOKP VJ 4.2.2 Jelly Bean v2.1 is the best and fast stable ROM that i've tried!
The only issue is with FB app: i cannot post a photo from gallery

Fully agree with that recommendation.
Furthermore I would gladly refer VJ CM10.1 | Jelly Bean 4.2.2 - v6.0 Stock/Sense/Data++ to be worth y try :good:
- Permanent solution for Soft Reboots (No more temporary solution)
- Improved Hardware Acceleration
RSK Xperience 4.2.2 smooth + nice themes

Are there differences in terms of speed between the two rom ?
I just got a new phone and i'm going to use my old Desire for gps tracking/photography/Video. So i'm looking for a rom that is 100% stable, has good battery life, camera/video works and has no gps problems.
Before this i have been using the cm 10.0 and 10.1 of VJ which doesn't suit my requirements for now.
I have been thinking about downgrading to the original rom gingerbread 2.3. But it looks like that this one isn't availible anymore on the htc development center.
Does anyone has an suggestion which ROM i should use?

Thank you!
Hi guys, i tried a lot of firmwares for my XS and havn't found a real smooth working one yet. Can anyone recommend me a good rom that's around latest android 4.2.2 and does work completely? I was very happy with the CM builds from freexperia but recently i found major bugs around the cam function (melting video after recording ~ 10m), HDMI (flickering or doesnt work at all) and trebuchet does crash sometimes..
Things i tried so far:
FXP 209 - 217
Official CM 9.1
MIUI 3.2.22 / 3.2.8
PAC 19.3 / 19.3.2
OpenSEMC Beta 2
Maybe there is just a version of the roms i mentioned thats very stable and i havn't tried, but maybe there's something other out there thats STABLE.. I looked around xda, but wasn't lucky finding a rom thats as stable as the stock.
I know that everyone hates those newb questions and it really sounds like i just should google or check all the threads here again but as you can see, i already tried so mutch that a'm a bit tired bein the dummy ;D.
Did you try official jelly bean leak? Heard that it is good. I think it is not allowed ask such question. May be I am wrong.
Anyway here is the link: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252940
Yeah you should definitely check the leaked JB rom out if you have an unlocked bootloader. Near as stable as stock and fast as any JB rom.
You should try the latest official jb leak, really smooth!
