Not that this is a direct answer to your question but, I think this thread might have the information you are looking for.
I've used zipthemer before and it was a breeze but, it looks like you have the options of tuning your own keys with some of these methods. I used zipthemer to install custom softkeys before but, now I just use the utility included in the new Eclipse JB build 8 to completely customize my navbar. The Eclipse rom is here.

Thank you, but my problem is to change the icons of custom apps in navigation bar.
The icons of standard softkeys are in SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi, but I don't see the icons of any application that I insert in navigation bar!

You would change the icon of the app itself from within its apk.

Yes, this is a possibility but my question is clare: I would like to know what is technically the file to edit.
Hi everyone.
recently i ntoice there were a andrio update to 4.2.1.
before the update, i have been using HD revolution ROM for my nexus.
But after the andriod update, i couldn't flash the transparent notification and navigation bar from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882381
So i decide to try out the PA 2.99 which came with the transparent bars. but when i use a different launcher, the transparent bars goes back to normal, i would have to use the original launcher to have the transparent bar. anyone have a solution to this?
all i want is the transparent bar on a different launcher
thanks in advance
no one know any solution to this ? :crying:
I was just wondering if anyone knew about how to get navigation bar on cm10.1. The softkey buttons on the screen.
Thanks
Also, if cyanogenmod doesn't have it, would aokp be the only way to get it?
I'm running Synergy ROM r484. Looking to do some minor theming, transparent status bar, maybe change the colors of the toggles. I've been searching off and on for a couple of weeks and am unsure how to proceed.
I've seen that Morphology doesn't work on r484, so that's a no-go. Ninjamorph hasn't been updated in a while, don't trust it to work with 4.1. All the status bar apps in Play store either don't do what I want, or change too much.
Is there a simple way to do this? I feel like I'm missing something, but I'm running out of search ideas.
I haven't done the official 4.4 or 4.4.1 OTA update on my FHD N7 but installed the first snapshot build of CM 11. On the default launcher and Nova, transparent SB and nav bar work fine but they revert to black bars on the lock screen. I tried searching here for an answer bur couldn't find the appropriate thread, can someone point out the link to me?
