So, i haven't really updated the OP until now, but I just got the update from Google Play for the first release of the OFFICIAL SwiftKey Flow. Does not require a second purchase. If you've already purchased SwiftKey or SwiftKey 3, you get updated to Flow for free like with previous versions. This isn't necessarily a bug thread or complaint thread, but just a conversation thread regarding the new amazing (in my opinion) SwiftKey Flow.
Details:
I personally received the update at 2:10AM (somewhere around there) on February 20th.
Version 4.0.0.105
ALSO! Currently only $1.99 and not $6.99

Alright thanks for the heads up guys. I just hope in flow they fix some of the issues with SwiftKey 3 and I HOPE if you own SwiftKey 3 they will give you flow for free.
Only issues with SwiftKey 3 is some words of the English language are missing and it can be quite annoying, also making a typo that it doesn't correct and once you press space it adds it to your dictionary which you have to completely reset D= but at least it works compared to my stock Samsung keyboard won't auto correct after the li3 update considering I'm on jb now lol

Head here and enter your email to get beta access. You can always register to become a VIP. I've been one for about 4 years now, so I'm not sure if it's that easy to be selected. I'm sure you'll get in tho. This isn't the TSA lol. So.... Try and get in. That's your best bet.

I'm so excited for this. I hope it comes out soon. I am using the Android 4.1.2 keyboard which is cool but not as accurate as Swiftkey. Our phone is so big that me myself I like to use just use one hand to text so swype makes it so much easier. Can't wait for this.

That's how it worked for the SwiftKey X to SwiftKey 3 update. They just changed the version number and icon, and users were automatically updated.

No keyboard is perfect... sometimes you have to add your own word. Dictionary.com is a great app!! When they went from Swiftkey X to Swiftkey 3 and had a beta that lasted several months and had at least three beta releases--it was a free upgrade. I see no reason why it wouldn't be again
I'm signed up and have had VIP for about a year. Nothing yet though :/

a heads up - I received an email today that flow is coming soon!
Here's the body of the email:
Hi,
Thank you for registering your interest in SwiftKey Flow. We're very pleased that so many of you are eager to help us test it out.
SwiftKey Flow is very nearly ready for beta testing. When it is, you'll receive an email with instructions on how to download it and how to leave us feedback. Your comments are very important to us - you'll be a vital part of making sure that the public release of SwiftKey with SwiftKey Flow is our best keyboard yet.
To make sure that you receive the SwiftKey Flow testing email and it doesn't end up in your spam folder, please add [email protected] to your list of contacts.
In the meantime, why not nominate SwiftKey in the TechCrunch 2012 Crunchies? We'd love it if you could nominate us here http://bit.ly/skcrunchie and let your friends know.
All the best,
Evan Tapper,
SwiftKey Community Manager

Has anyone figured out how or why Light Flow app drains the battery? And why it turns on handicap accessibility?
It is an awesome app that does not work well with the SGS3. I want to start a petition for us to write an e-mail to the author and let him know we like his app but it does not work well and if he can fix it for the SGS3.
Pretty sure he's already taken the time to post on here and say he's looking into optimising the app for the SGS3.
He's aware of the accessibility issue - but that's not the app faults to a certain degree as other apps that require accessibility trigger the same apparent ICS bug.
I'm sure there'll be an update of some type soon.
How do you know it's draining the battery?
It does not appear in the battery stats?
Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2
I wasn't aware he was on these forums and has posted that he's working on an update. Do you know which thread this is? If so that is awesome, as I bought the app Monday but wasn't expecting all these problems.

It doesn't need to. It keeps the CPU awake. I along with other users have been testing our batteries out in the batteries thread general section. Without lightflow my battery life has increased dramatically. The phone could not enter into deep sleep.
I'm using light flow as well and have no problems with GS3 going in to deep sleep. The problem might be one of your apps.

Ah makes so much sense then.
I thought it was somehow the SD card using up more battery as that was the last thing I did to the phone, but at the same time I did install this app.
Battery went from lasting around a day and half with use to about 10 hours.
Thanks for the info.

I did not have the problem with the lite version. When I got the paid version for some reason the problems came up.
Now I am @17 hours with %50 battery.
I've used liteflow since day one on stock Rom without extra battery usage.
I get around 20hrs of battery with moderate usage.

i have had no power issues with light flow, as for accessability issues,
there seems to be a bug with touchwiz, that when accessibility is activated any folders you open you get speech sat "folder open" this happens in a few other areas too
however if you switch your launcher to Apex the problem does not happen, so it is just a touch wiz issue
it also happen if i set accessability for Tasker - so its not a light flow issue

you guys should really look at the S3 properly:
Go the settings.. accessibility and make sure the setting for Light Flow is unticked...
Then go to the app and in general stteing there is a setting called accessibility check...if you make sure this is unticked it works perfectly and there is no annoying voice.
No BUG at all

Not necessarily - this solution is hit and miss.
Its worked for me on one occasion and then when I unticked it from accessibilty etc on a second install attempt, it just didn't work?
There's obviously a clash between, apps that need accessibilty, 4.0.4 and/or Touchwiz.
The dev has already provided links to confirmation that this is a Google issue before the S3 arrived so its not just about 'learning' our S3 better

Why would you want accessibility unchecked? Lightflow needs that to work properly. At install it even tells you to go check it.

CyanogenMod 11.0
Android 4.4.2 KitKat
I'll be posting semi-nightly builds of Stock (or as close as possible) CyanogenMod 11 for the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3. That basically means I will try to update on a daily basis, but no guarantees since some days have no real updates specific to our device. I may also release two or several releases in a day if there is a large amount of development for our device that day.
!!!Please Note!!! This is very new code for the Note 3 and all kind of bugs and unexpected things could happen at any time. I cannot be held responsible if you flash this on your phone and it eats your babies.
Working:
Calls
Sound
Camera
Bluetooth
WiFi
Mobile Data
GPS
External SD card
Not Working:
NFC
Bug Reports:
There will inevitably be some bugs here or there in these builds as they are still in very early stages. If you are getting crashes, freezes, or weird behavior in general it always helps if you can provide the logs so that the issue can be debugged to a certain degree. For those of you who know how, please send a copy of your logcat along with any bug reports on this thread. For those that don't know what logcat is, please read this informative post: HOW TO USE ADB,DDMS AND TAKE A LOGCAT
Installation:
1. Full Wipe (dirty flashing is a bad, and you should feel bad
)
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash GAPPS
4. (Optional) Flash Latest SuperSU
Changelog:
CyanogenMod Gerrit Review
Downloads:
DOWNLOAD ROM (ANDROID FILE HOST)
OLD BUILDS (ANDROID FILE HOST)
DOWNLOAD CM GAPPS (ANDROID FILE HOST)

Thanks to the CyanogenMod Team!!! They do all the work, I just build it and share.
Nice! Thank you for carrying on with stock Cm. It's nice to have options.
I realize that dev-host isn't the fastest mirror, but I'm still waiting for approval of my dev account on goo.

This is actually a slightly newer build than the one posted originally in the other thread. Shouldn't be much different though.
Tried your newest rom. Two issues:
1) Mic doesn't work when using speaker phone in voice calls. I can hear the other person, but they can't hear me.
2) Volume is very low. Ring, notifications, and voice call are all affected.
I went back to TW for now. These two issues are major for me. Literally everything else functions perfectly. Thanks for the great work!

Also, am I doing things correctly by fully wiping, then (in order) flashing the (desired CM) ROM, then the CM11-OpenCL-libs.zip, then HLTETMO-C13QS-libs.zip, and lastly the gapps package? Or is any of those unnecessary and if so, why? Thanks for the help, in advance

This is Alpha code pulled straight from the CyanogenMod git repo and compiled. It's brand new and there will be bugs I'm sure, but as far as I know there is no list of "known defects" as far as I know. Please help me and everyone else out by reporting bugs on this thread and I will add them to the OP and try to repro/fix them when possible. :good:
NFC and Hangouts audio, are the only 2 for certain things broken right now.
Low in call volume, speaker phone issues, have both been addressed in the code base.

Low in call volume and also apps such as Soundhound and Shazam dont work, probably because of the mic not working

I pretty used to SwiftKey now, and disable touchpal in the apps settings. Which it doesnt show up in, which makes it hassle, but its possible.

Marketing partnership perhaps. Also, TouchPal has theming, which kinda goes with Sense's theming schtick.
Google keyboard and Swiftkey are excellent keyboards, especially for text prediction. I was using Google on my Nexus but since I no longer have an on-screen navbar, I went back to Swiftkey (I gotta have arrows) and just have TouchPal unselected and the notifications turned off.
Note that a system keyboard is required for PIN/password entry on boot; if you use that, don't remove TouchPal.
SwiftKey for 4+ years now.
Swype Keyboard is my favourite as I swipe a lot. No other keyboard seems to swipe as well as Swype does in my opinion

You can install the HTC keyboard with the apk here: HTC Sense Input
I'm on Nougat so this may not happen with Marshmallow, but after the install i had to disable all other keyboards to get it working.
I use either Swiftkey or the Google Keyboard. Swiftkey can be a bit frustrating at first, but once it learns from your typing style/dictionary its definitely one of the fastest keyboards.
Personnaly I am using the Sony Keyboard downloaded from Play Store
It is working marvellously
Guys, I think the best alternative here is good old HTC Sense Input.
Though, you can't download it via Google Play for our device ("Your phone is not compatible with this app"), you can do it from APK Mirror or similar repositories. And it works like a charm.
Hate HTC for trying to prevent their customers from using their great apps while owners of other phone brands perfectly enjoying them. Just DISGRACE...

Yes, 8.00.879633. This is the latest one for now.
But instead of nodpi version, I'm using 640dpi one (our phone has 565dpi, so it's the closest one). But it should just affect the size of visual elements (buttons, icons, etc). You may play with different versions and see what's the most comfortable for you.

By the way, if you feel that HTC position on HTC Sense Input for owners of HTC phones is unfair, you may consider leaving bad review for TouchPal Keyboard for HTC. As you can see, it predictably has ~4.2k "Hate it" score out of 8k total.
Anyway to have arrow keys below the keyboard?
Hi everyone.
On Android 9, how you can I move the clock from the top left to the top right, as it was before on Android 7,8?
Thanks in advance.
You can't. Most people suggest submitting feedback, but don't know how well that will work.
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
I've read that it was moved to the left to support phones with notches.
After a few days of Pie use, I still see it as a notification, out the corner of my eye.
This Android 9 is so horribly ugly. I don't think I can bear it. What the hell, seriously. At least we should have the option (even if not default) to keep the clock where it always has been. I'm devastated. And then I haven't even mentioned how utterly ugly and disgusting is the quick settings drop-down. Seriously, what the hell was going on in that dev office. Have they tried on their own phone (let's say Pixel 2 XL), and noone noticed how bad it's gonna be??

This. This. This. I actually typed a huge post and was about to start a thread about it, but then just saved it as a draft.
The whole thing looks like a free substratum theme that mocked iOS and Samsung but failed horribly.
The ugly circles, the clock on the right with no option, the rounded corners when you have an expanded status bar and how the outsides of them are completely black. The dark theme looks even worse. The volume control is in a cool place and I like the feel but how the hell do I adjust other volumes quickly without full diving into the settings? Ugh. Rant over, sorry

I agree. Ugly. And I hate the recents
Just got the notification on my phone for Pie. Figured I would come here to see what the consensus is and now I'm scared it will auto update! Damn you Google! LOL
With root most of these things can be fixed.

I love the look of iOS. So Pie and everything that comes with it is great for me, the only reason I don't use an iPhone it's because they don't have nearly the capability that we do to customize our phones. Honestly I believe that if the iPhone had the same customization abilities that Androids had a lot more people would be using them.
You could use my Translucent Substratum theme,,,there is an option to swap the clock to the right

Honestly, I think Android 9 is one of the nicest looking versions of android we have had. The replacement of the red bar at the top with the red battery, dark mode, and cleaned up notifications make for a great user experience imo.

Nope, there is no way... Submit a complain on Google tracker, no other way to reverse this stupidity...

Progress?
Just received the unwanted update. Has a way been uncovered to move the clock back to the left? If the only way is root, where would be the best place to start? Thanks
