I have been installing CM10 nightlies without issue until I installed the 11-02 update. After that all of the apps I have on my SD card are no longer recognized. Instead I get the little green android and if I try and click on one I get a force close. I have looked through the CM10 thread but didn't see a similar issue. Cannot believe this is just me. Tried reverting back to 10-29 nightly but still have same problem. Hoping someone can offer some advice before I wipe data and start over.

When I make a phone call I get "UNFORTUNATELY THE PROCESS.COM.ANDROID.PHONE HAS STOPPED".When I press ok it ends the call. The phone is a sprint variant on cm10 latest nightly. My att on the same cm10 nightly doesn't have this error. How can I fix it?

should be posted in correct thread of the ROM. But could as simple as a bad flash, check the md5 and do a clean install.

Go to settings/more settings/mobile networks I think and there should be a sim option and something else make sure your not on sim. At leased thats what happend to me. And the correct thread fir this is in Q&A

ok, I need more help please. I am trying to install cam from the above posted link. When I click install recovery from my current touch recovery, I get an error message. "cannot open /External_SD/recovery – clockwork touch.zip bad

See - the thing is (if you read up on the issue) the problem happens on ANY phone - running ANY rom - and VARIOUS radios ... so doing the thread nazzi thing really doesn't help, as the issue is prevelant across the board. If that's not bad enough, god forbid you start a new thread because again ... the thread nazzis jump out of the woodwork and (seemingly gleefully) post all the different posts where it's already been discussed. Well yea, that's because there is no magic silver bullet. I've got the issue, and I'm not going to bother saying what rom or radio or kernel I'm using, or how many cashes I've wiped or permissions I've fixed, because I've already run thru all those gymnastics. So you see, it cam be just as frustrating having to keep reading about the problem again & again, as it is trying to walk on egg shells to find a cure, in the exact right thread, in the exact right forum. In the mean time, the only thing I've found that guarentees the issue doesn't happen to me is to go all the way back to the Sarum rom. How pathetic is that. But thanks for the help anyway ... presuming some day there comes a "one cure - cures all".

I had the exact same problem with a reoccurring message that would flash on and off every second or so. I did both a data restart then a reboot of the android software by pushing the down volume button then holding the power button. When the LG logo appeared I released both buttons and followed the instructions for an android factory reboot. Apparently it is the SIM card. The android com.android.phone communicates with the SIM card and allows calls and texts to be sent and received using the android software. My SIM card got damaged somehow and could not receive the call from the android app com.android.phone. I had to buy a new SIM card for ten dollars and had my stored files on the SIM moved to the new one and no more problems. Telus and Bell move the files to the new SIM for free i'm sure other major service providers offer the same free service.

It may be too late, but.. I just had the same problem while installing some kitkat apps and spent hours trying everything to fix it. What ended up fixing it was: Settings>Application Manager> Menu > Reset app preference>Reboot.

I recently flashed bigxie's ROM to update my gnex to jelly bean 4.2. Now I have noticed two big issues. For some reason I am unable to receive any file through Bluetooth though I can send without an issue and that my NFC doesn't seem to work. The NFC option itself is grayed out and Bluetooth goes into a cyclic crash as soon as trying to receive a file. Only removing the battery or switching the phone off seems to work.
Please advice as to how to proceed.

[solved] 4.2 bluetooth and NFC error
Sorry about the wrong post but just wanted to let everyone know...
Was trying to flash 4.2.1 but wasn't able to do it (a lot of problem with toolkit, phone not being detected or even the zip copy not possible). Saw an update, tried applying and to my shock wasn't able to go beyond the Google logo in the next boot up. So went ahead and re installed the bigxie j04c rom and found that it is functioning perfectly now. Bluetooth ok, NFC ok.
Don't know how, but its all good. Guess Christmas came early :good:

It's been so long since I've flashed a Rom I don't even know where to start.
I'm on CleanGB MTD 1.1.2 and CWM v5.0.2.7
In general- where should I start to go to an updated Rom like CM9 or something --- (what is the 'go-to' Rom for something that 'just works'? My priorities are stability, battery life, speed, in that order).
Do I have to ODIN to FC09 first? <---- Is that even the latest factory android? I'm not even sure what version I'm on right now but I've been getting a prompt to update OTA for a while now.
Sorry for creating a thread you guys are probably sick of looking at, I just need a general direction to go in.

I ended up doing CM9 but saw that there was a CM10 stable and flashed that about an hour later. It's fantastic.
Thanks for moving the thread. I was wondering if you guys could help me find instructions for recalibrating gyroscope. My screen isn't auto-rotating now. (I have auto-rotation turned on).
Any help?

That is same as it has ever been. You either need to restore your TW ROM and calibrate it there or find the thread about the kexec boot from sd card, set that up and run the calibration in settings after booting from FC09. IIRC there is like 3 places to turn on auto rotate too.

Ok so I fixed that by using SD card bootable stock FC09 and using calibration; I get in my car and Bluetooth doesn't work haha. Apparently it's a problem with CM10 across multiple devices. Real bummed too because CM10 is so perfect otherwise....

Yes, Bluetooth has been an issue for some time. If you want everything to just work the best choice is something based off stock like CleanGB ot The People's ROM. It is very difficult to recreate all the drivers needed to make everything work on these phones on AOSP ROMs. Thus the appreciated tremendous efforts of the CM team.
Hello I am trying to fix a Canadian Virgin Mobile?bell Mobile Galaxy S3 for a friend.
He had installed CM10.1 on it awhile back and somewhere along the line had an issue and tried to back to stock and lost his IMEI number. He did some work himself and was able to get the IMEI number re-injected. But since then the phone has been very unstable, constant apps and processes crashing, random reboots and the like. Was also experiencing issues with the only connecting to 2G/ Edge Data. I searched around and found the solution to the data connection issue.Had to rebuild the NVdata QCN.
The phone still experiencing issues with rebooting and apps crashing all the time. Does anyone have any ideas? I have downloaded stock firmware from SamMobile and tried doing forced updates from Kies. Have searched and been unable to find anything further to attempt.

Sorry thought I had that night.
So I have an idea why the phone is having issues right now. I decided to try loading CM 10.1.2 on the phone. When I had the stock rom running it was the latest 4.1.2 which should be using the latest and greatest JB bootloader included, yet when I try to install CM I get a bootloader error and have to install a new bootloader to get it to install.
This makes me think that for some reason when I am putting stock on here it is downgrading the bootloader and that could be causing issues? Not sure if that makes sense or is even possible. If anyone has input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I write just to say this rom is amazing. I installed it 4 days ago. No single FC, no random reboots... Battery life has been amazing, more than 8 hours SOT, most of apps greenified, wifi always on... I hope the dev will keep developing this rom. If that is so, will donate something.
I'm having trouble using my Bluetooth keyboard. It detects the keyboard,but I'm not getting any input. Tried the Bluetooth apps on the play store, but to no avail. Anyone else having this issue?

Odin back to stock, do an over the air update and then flash the root and TWRP, then clean flash the rom.

Some of the apps require a certain feature to be clicked in a previous feature selection screen. You might have missed one of those. Read those carefully next time you flash.
I tried my 64gb sandisk sdcard on my tablet. I can enter the main directory but when enter any folder there wasn't anything in folder. Only show folder Does not show the contents of the folder.
How can I fix that?

I had version 4.Something installed and everything worked great. Installed v5 (Cleared everything but data) and it would crash randomly when asleep. Reinstalled wiping everything including data this time, still crashes. Everything works when i'm using it, but when I walk away for a while and come back its dead. I have tried to get some logs, but apperently you cant look at logs anymore. I cant remember wich options i choose at install execpt the custom kernel.
Any ideas?
