I recently flashed bigxie's ROM to update my gnex to jelly bean 4.2. Now I have noticed two big issues. For some reason I am unable to receive any file through Bluetooth though I can send without an issue and that my NFC doesn't seem to work. The NFC option itself is grayed out and Bluetooth goes into a cyclic crash as soon as trying to receive a file. Only removing the battery or switching the phone off seems to work.
Please advice as to how to proceed.

2. Flash google's stock 4.2.1 images and see if it gets fixed. Flash em via fastboot. Get them here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

[solved] 4.2 bluetooth and NFC error
Sorry about the wrong post but just wanted to let everyone know...
Was trying to flash 4.2.1 but wasn't able to do it (a lot of problem with toolkit, phone not being detected or even the zip copy not possible). Saw an update, tried applying and to my shock wasn't able to go beyond the Google logo in the next boot up. So went ahead and re installed the bigxie j04c rom and found that it is functioning perfectly now. Bluetooth ok, NFC ok.
Don't know how, but its all good. Guess Christmas came early :good:
Hope it remains the same.... :fingers-crossed:

Noob here. Would post in the relevant thread, but I'm unable to. So here are the details:
I recently updated my phone with [ROM] [Team D.I.R.T] [Jelly Bean] UNOFFICIAL Codename Android 3.3.1 found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850888
While I was experimenting with the rom, I discovered that my GPS was not working. After a quick search I found that other people were having the same problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30677489&postcount=46) and seemed to work for others successfully.
I downloaded the Qualcomm Vision GPS Driver v1.1 and flashed it. It says the flash loaded successfully but GPS still doesn't seem to work.
At this point I'm at a loss because the fix seems to work for others but not for me and I feel like I'm overlooking something simple. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks. I actually saw that post and was already half way thru reloading my stock rom by the time you posted. GPS worked on stock but unfortunately after following all the steps it didn't work on the custom rom. Really baffled on what I'm doing wrong. Going to give it another go. If I run into other issues I'll make sure to post in the proper area.

Not trying to discourage you, but sometimes things just aren't going to work between a rom you're using and your phone. The roms will play different with your phone compared to someone else's even tho they might be the same model.
There are some ics gps fixes that are flash able here on xda. Run a search and flash, it could work. If you can find them PM me your email. I think I still have one saved on my computer. Goodluck.
Thanks for the offer, but I was finally able to get GPS working late last night. No idea what I did differently, but the third time was the charm.
Today I attempted to port the chameleon ROM from the international gs2 using this script - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1927729
After it successfully ran I decided to flash it(stupid) and it successfully sent through and booted just fine. Everything was working great except for all radios failed to connect and captivate keys were out of position. Here's where it gets strange I rebooted and tried to go to download mode and held the wrong button leading me to recovery. It was running the recovery from the gs2 ROM which was supposed to be replaced by the epic touchs image by the script but I guess wasn't. So I accidentally but successful installed a gs2 custom jellybean kernel which was built from source and all the features worked. Does this mean with a few changes we can run jellybean kernels with just adding a few changes from our source???
Edit: here is the link tot the ROM I flashed - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3QharTm24mgQVBJMzVvVlBjWXc/edit

You're gonna end up hard bricking your phone trying to use kernels and recoveries from other devices
I like to break stuff!

This is very true. I bricked my original Epic 4G Touch by doing something similar to this.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THE RECOVERY FROM THE GS2 VARIANT THAT YOU ARE PORTING FROM TO DO ANY KIND OF WIPING OR FACTORY RESET!
You have been warned.

I'm on CyanogenMod 10.1-20130520-Nightly-d2spr
My firmware is outdate though with the "Baseband Version" showing L710PBLJ7
I've heard comments that this version of CM will allow Sprint-based updates but I don't see how and I'm not seeing anything automatic.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
~D
It's easy, I always grab the latest one from freezas thread and flash in recovery

The one you want is the MD4 AIO (aka, all in one) firmware zip, as that's the latest
An important thing to note is that "updated firmware" doesn't necessarily mean better speeds for everyone. Most people have had a good experience with the newest firmware, but I know others who are still on ICS modems because that's what works best for them in their area and they places the frequent

I have the MD4 and it works well...got it from my wifes phone since she has the stock rom. I have used all the firmwares with the cyanogenmod and all of them worked but the MD4 is working much better but can vary so I would try them all

Ya you can do it on any rom really, just needs to be downloaded and boot into recovery mode with the file already downloaded before you boot into recovery mode.
So I have been beating myself up over a way to unroot my S3 (SGH-T999) for a couple of weeks now to send-in to Samsung for a broken charging/data port as well as a broken audio jack. And I did not particularly care to send it in rooted. So I tried several different methods such as holding the data cable (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT EVER TRY THAT METHOD) to get some files pushed to my device. I know, I know, I could have used ADB Wireless, but sometimes getting that crap working is more frustrating than holding a cable. Anyways I finally realized I could use Mobile Odin Pro to get the job done, voila I am back to stock!
I really am curious about the new update as I was not able to upgrade due to my modified device. So I proceed to download the updates (all 3 of them in succession). The 3rd update to MD5 downloaded perfectly fine. However, when I touch the Start button I get a warning: This Device is Modified Unable to Proceed! UGH! Really?!
That was not the end of the story either. After a couple of reboots I now have portions of the Codename Android theme on my device!!!! Seriously after wiping, reformatting, etc.
Just thought this is strange as he11. Please feel free to advise on how to undo this disaster in 30 minutes or less, LOL!
Thanks for letting me share.
You can use Triangle Away to reset your binary counter, then go to md5.

Triangle away, flash a stock firmware, and you're back to stock.
You could of searched how to unroot 10 different times by the time you were done typing your post bro.

You have to be rootex to use triangle away. I believe hes already unrooted. While updating via otas it suddenly said status was modified, which TA wont fix anyway.
Sounds like your only option is to try Odin. Sorry.

Hello I am trying to fix a Canadian Virgin Mobile?bell Mobile Galaxy S3 for a friend.
He had installed CM10.1 on it awhile back and somewhere along the line had an issue and tried to back to stock and lost his IMEI number. He did some work himself and was able to get the IMEI number re-injected. But since then the phone has been very unstable, constant apps and processes crashing, random reboots and the like. Was also experiencing issues with the only connecting to 2G/ Edge Data. I searched around and found the solution to the data connection issue.Had to rebuild the NVdata QCN.
The phone still experiencing issues with rebooting and apps crashing all the time. Does anyone have any ideas? I have downloaded stock firmware from SamMobile and tried doing forced updates from Kies. Have searched and been unable to find anything further to attempt.
Thanks for any help.

Sorry thought I had that night.
So I have an idea why the phone is having issues right now. I decided to try loading CM 10.1.2 on the phone. When I had the stock rom running it was the latest 4.1.2 which should be using the latest and greatest JB bootloader included, yet when I try to install CM I get a bootloader error and have to install a new bootloader to get it to install.
This makes me think that for some reason when I am putting stock on here it is downgrading the bootloader and that could be causing issues? Not sure if that makes sense or is even possible. If anyone has input on this would be greatly appreciated.
