Get the official galaxy s3 mhl to hdmi cable. Works great!

I have Samsung smart tv and must say that all share works very well. You just need to click one button on your video player and the video starts playing on the tv.
I know this is not a solution for you but I just wanted to share my experience.

What have they done to allshare?, on the note 1 I can play videos on my xbmc machine from my phone fine. On the note 2 it does not even connect. Do we now need a dongle or somthing?

All share cast requires your tv to have screen mirroring or the all share dongle.
All share play shares with other devices.
Change player is your typical dlna where you can play on your tv.

Ok I managed to get videos olaying by using change player. My fault, if u get s dongle can I simply display my phones screen on my tv as in a mirror, internet browsing ect?

Yes, that's correct. I have the all share dongle and I love it! It mirrors the device's screen!

Seems good, only i can play videos and pictures on my xbmc machine already, alot of money just to see your device display. Must be a workaround for that for sure.

Well there is, you can get an hdmi cable and hook the phone up. The all share dongle is a wireless solution. Or get a TV which has the screen mirroring feature?

Sorry to bump but where is "change player"?
Also does it work with Music Hub? If so I might start paying for it.
Thanks.
edit: Ah dw, it seems it is in the Samsung Music Player, shame it doesn't seem to be in Music Hub.
Did some google research was trying to find an app where i can get whats streaming on my phone to the tv ..something similar along the lines of air play ......recommendations?

I know its apps where downloaded videos you can share to your tv...but videos im streaming on my phone i wanted to play on my tv i guess the cable you mentioned may be the best bet

Did the mhl work for you? I ran a quick attempt and it wasn't seeing anything. MAYBE I needed to use a different cable and wall plug, I was using one that, it seems now, isn't supplying a lot of power.
Just wanting a confirmation that the mhl works.

You can do this in YouTube app. You need a TV with YouTube though I believe. Not sure how it works though, never felt the need to get it working for me.

mhl converter
Mhl works great. You just need to make sure if you are searching amazon or eBay or whatever you use to make sure it's the one for the s3 or note 2. The cable for the s2 is different for some reason. Allshare hub is ok but gets laggy on anything other than pics and videos you have on the phone already. Trying to stream Netflix from the phone through the hub doesn't work very well at all.
I use my xbox360 to stream stuff from my phone to my tv works flawlessly for music video and images. If you have any other device that supports DLNA that would work as well

I actually use that feature... pretty much go into your tv youtube app and under the sign in part theres something where you share your screen, pretty much go into that and take your tvs code and type it into your phones youtube app and a little button will appear for you when looking at videos on your phone similar to the one in gallery to share pics/vids...
Great for old movies or tv shows on youtube
Just use the mhl adapter. get one from ebay. cost like $10. This is the one I got and it works flawlessly:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251194581683
Just plug it into the phone then plug in the ac adapter (it needs power) and connect the HDMI cable from adapter to tv and BOOM, a mini power computer. I have a bluetooth mouse and keyboard paired to the phone and it works great. The only thing it would make it perfect is if I can stream the optimum tv app. unfortunately the optimum tv app can detect if you are using an "external" display and it won't show the video on the tv. But you can stream watchespn, hbo go, max go and pretty much any other apps onto the big screen.
I tried to ask if anyone can hack the optimum app to allow it to be used with external display but no one replied.
No one has heard of the app mirrorop. Haven't tried on note yet. But on Asus Transformer Pad TF300T it mirrors your screen exactly but to a PC. (Which I had connected to my TV via HDMI) only downside is doesn't stream audio. Use some Bluetooth speakers. Works well
using mhl update
tv must be mhl compatable or the cable convert to hdmi n not just wires but some actual brain
second. get the 11 pin not the 5 pin mhl adapter or it wont work on note ii. [sgs2 mhl adapter wont work]

Yeah have been using the allshare dongle myself got it with the 50% disount off sammys website.... works perfect for me only problem it doesnt work on anything but stock/rooted rom .... there is a bounty in another thread but not looking to good so for now mhl or the dongle are the best choices out
I use iMediashare.

Hi, I bought a cable off of ebay (red) for $11.00 packaged for the SIII but works fine on my N2, and with my stock 2.0amp charger it stays charged, though is barely charges because of the power drain. But output of both the video and audio come through fine on my vizio tv.
Hope this helps.
Thanks i will try and look into that card the previous cord i got doesnt work at all

For any of you guys who own a Roku media box. You can use the app from the Playstore: Juice for Roku. You just add the Juice channel to your Roku device, install the Android app...connect it to your Roku, then you can stream your Pics (individually or slideshow), and video's all wirelessly to your TV through your Roku.
I use ArkMC app for long time, it works well with my htc desire, you could try

Ok so ive been digging around here and there and really want to purchase the allshare cast hub to use my note 2 on my tv. That being said I have read many negative reviews about how horrible the sound is or how bad the quality is/ lagginess, etc.
Can others voice there experiences with the allshare cast hub?
On the other hand there is also this smart dock I have been reading about that turns your phone practically into a desktop computer. I think its sweet as hell but the 144 dollar price tag tells me other wise.
Please start ha all information is good information, maybe this can be a quide/ review page of people's experiences with the allshare cast or something like that, thanks! have a good one brothers and sisters!
I tried using AllShare on my Windows 7 computer. I have a pci-e card with 4 cable ready tuners. It uses windows media center to record in HD using (.wtv). This format is not supported by AllShare. I could not find anyone in their Allshare tech support to help. Samsung TV support could not tell me what speed their network ports are or what standards the Wifi on the new TVs is.

I have been using the allshare cast hub in my car hooked up to a Pioneer Appradio2 to mirror my display on the appradio and I have no sound quality issues. Connection is quick and easy. If you are rooted you will need to make sure your flash counter is set to 0 or the allshare cast will not work.

Hi guys,
I want to know is there any way where I can clone my note 2 games visuals or anything to my hdtv?
I'm able to transfer videos, audio over dlna.
I bought a hdmi connecter but thats wired so playing motion sensitive games are awkward having cable attached to it.

Unfortunately you will need to do some investment over here to get this work, it wont work automatically as we thought.
Here is all the detail you need:

Yes Samsung just lied that you wont need any extra hardware to get the screen miroor.

I want to mirror my screen to my TV using Chromecast. Is it possible on the Galaxy Nexus?
Chromecast does not mirror. You have a bunch of applications that can stream media to your TV via HDMI port. That's the basic idea and also it's beauty so you can turn off your phone or disconnect and the stream is still playing on your TV.

Mirroring from phone to TV is the old fashion way, just get an Android TV box or TV stick (as big as a USB thumb drive), plug right into your hdmi port on your TV, now you have a full Android on your TV with a real browser and all the Android apps from playstore, next download the XBMC app (free), now you just turn your tiny little TV Android box into a super MEDIA CENTER, where you can stream anything directly to your TV, from latest HD movies, TV series etc...and use your phone as the remote control for the Android box or wireless keyboard/mouse.
That's a nice idea, but then how do I watch videos and pictures stored in my phone?
