Wifi Tether widget? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Is there any widget out there that will activate AT&T's wifi tethering feature? I've tried a few but none of them work and it's a pain the butt to have to go thru settings and menus to turn it on when I need it.

[Q] how does switchpro widget disable data connections?

Hi,
been wondering about this: how does switchpro widget disable data connections?
It seems to work fine on my desire but when I go to settings I see data connection is still enabled and apn's haven't been renamed
Does it do anything in the background or am I missing a parameter?
Cheers
B
I have been trying to work out exactly what it does as well.
It certainly is not an APN re-namer like most, as this is something you can enable in switch pro's settings if you need too.
However like you said it also does not tap into the official HTC version like the sense widget, or CM6's modified power control widget.
Anybody ? I switch data connections off when I go to bed but when I unlock my phone in the morning I notice a 3g icon active (though it disables immediatly after)
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
i cant even enable data connection using switchpro widget - the icon lights up but nothing happens
i have to manually turn on the connection in settings
i am only able to deactivate data connection using this widget

[Q] WiFi Hotspot configuration? (Gnex JB/AndroidAP/FoxFi)

Hello, I’m new to XDA Forum and thank you in advance for answering my basic question.
Verizon Gnex stock. Wi-Fi Hot Spot?
Prior to JB OTA update I installed PDAnet, FoxFi & FoxFi Addon. The Gnex is my only net access right now. After JB update I installed SwitchPro to get a WiFi Hot Spot. I assume it’s the native one “AndroidAP”. FoxFi is now works after developer fix for JB. So I have FoxFi and SwitchPro installed but things aren’t working correctly.
SwitchPro no longer launches the native Wi-Fi “AndroidAP” but launches the FoxFi hotspot instead. ? When I launch FoxFi I now get two Wi-Fi notifications on the bar. When LTE/3g searches/toggles the FoxFi active Wi-Fi Hotspot indicates "Off" but the Gnex settings Tethering & portable hotspot indicator shows FoxFi "active". ?
I like the SwitchPro switches but also use PDAnet for USB Tether. 4g LTE reception is spotty where I live. Bounces between 4g/3g a lot but getting better.
Would someone help me properly setup the wi-fi hotspot apps and switches?
Thanks much
Would someone care to help an old guy fix this minor issue?
Thank you.
I was under the impression that since then FoxFi app was fixed for jb, and there is the addon for it, switch pro was no longer needed?
I could be wrong as I do not tether so those apps serve me no purpose.

[Q] Metro PCS GS4 Tethering after custom rom

So I flashed my metro s4 to a custom rom (wicked v4 for tmobile) since the phone is basically a tmobile phone with a few metro badges according to other threads...flashed seamlessly, works great aside from tethering.
I cant get the tethering to work anymore, before it would direct me to the metro tether page, but now the page connection (i.e google.com) times out...I am connected to the phone and my wireless connection says I have "internet access" but wont load anything.
I assume this is because the APN settings were replaced with Tmobile APN settings per the tmobile rom.
I Checked the settings and they are in fact 2 apn sets to choose from. Either tmobile LTE or tmobile tethering, I had to alter the tmobile tethering apn to get it to connect to 4g. but it wont allow my laptop to recieve any data.
Im assuming I need metro PCS's tether settings since my phone is attempting to tether through Tmobile maybe.
Anybody have that information or know how I can get this working?
On a side not I am forced to use the native tether app on the 4g instead of my original app i tried (wifi tether TrevE mod) because that doesnt seem to work...my laptop doesnt see any ssid being broadcasted with that app.
Nothing?

Tasker/other solution to force WiFi calling only on certain WiFi SSIDs?

Hey all, got a quick automation question that I can't seem to work out on my own.
Specifically, I want my phone to use WiFi calling mode only when I am connected to certain networks, not, for instance, when I am on the ATT WiFi at Starbucks.
The default T-Mobile settings for the feature are little help, since they only allow generally to prefer cell over WiFi or the other way around. My instinct was to set it to use WiFi calling when the network was unavailable, then to use Tasker to disable cell radio features when connected to those networks, thereby forcing it into WiFi calling mode.
Problem is Tasker tells me that the radio feature is unavailable, and I'm rooted with Secure Settings installed. Anyone have any ideas?

If you find something, I am interested as well. I have also let T-Mobile know that I would like this as a feature in Wifi Calling itself.
I was hoping that the Wifi Calling settings were exposed. So I could do, "if wifi SSID = blah, switch to Prefer Wifi calling, otherwise switch to Prefer Cell."

[Q] FoxFi Widget

Is there a hot spot toggle that will work with foxfi so that you don't have to go through the activate wifi hotspot screen and then the setting screen. (Guess I'm getting lazy)
