So when I look at myself using the front facing camera it looks right. Then when I snap the picture it flips. On my EVO it did not do this. I looked in the settings to see if it was something I could change but I did not see anything. This is really annoying to me.
Am I missing it or is there a workaround out there?

The flip is to adjust it like a mirror.
Have you not figured it out?

What? My previous phone did not do this. I just want this phone to exhibit the same behavior.

The front camera shows a mirror image, but when you take a pic it takes it as the camera sees it, so you are actually taking a self portrait.
IIRC, the Evo would always take a mirror image with the front camera.
So are you saying you want to take a pic with your front camera and see it as a mirror image? The camera won't do this that I can see, but you can easily flip the pic with the photo editor app that comes on the E4GT.

Why do you want such a feature? O_ o.... that makes absolutely no sense to me, when you can just take the image you took, and flip it with any or current pic editor, i understand that you might want it automated, but..er.. what i don't get is why would you want such a feature lol.
Look for my fixed camera in the apps and themes forum. The international galaxy s2 has this as an option. The zip I posted will give you what your looking for.

Thanks.... Your modified camera fixed it! Also, like that when selecting the focus point, the flash lights up to capture focus. I didnt see that feature in the stock camera but its nice for taking a picture in dim lit areas where it can be hard to focus.
Anyone find out how to disable the shutter sound on the camera? So annoying.... would appreciate the help. Thanks.
Set to silent ...
Just use the volume rocker.

To clarify, open the camera then use the volume to set it to silent.

if you have root go to /system/media/audio/ui and change camera_click.ogg to camera_click.ogg.bak. reboot and no more camera click
I believe there's a option in the menu for it.
Holy shizz.. lotsa responses. Thanks a lot, still getting used to app integration for ICS... it's killer.

I know you're being humorous, but Ive heard this too many times. Why does everyone think that people who want to disable the shutter sound are automatically creeps? What if you're at some performance and want to take a picture quietly? ... I thought I had more reasons, thats the only one that comes to mind right now
I recall having to lower the media volume, not the ringer volume, to kill the shutter sound.

HA. Thanks for the defense but in reality I have never found a reason to need a shutter sound on any phone I've owned, especially when the shutter sound is longer than the shutter lag

Yes this is what you need to do to make it permanent with your sound up.
You need to remount the system partition as read/write in order to do this.
Also be aware you might be violating law in some areas by doing this. The click noise is forced on a lot of phones due to local laws to prevent creepers.

Wow I have had this phone since day one and never even noticed that we didn't have zoom. Just tried the volume key and was shocked. That goes to show I have way too many freakin phones. Not spending enough time with the GSII. Trying wp7 and playing with my Nexus.

Pinch zoom and volume zoom both working fine on Juggernaut.
Not sure what you're smoking, but I'm mad you're not sharing.
But zoom works fine here, and I've used it on just about every rom out.

Because the camera would lose detail or speed when zoomed in on video mode
Lol I just figured out the spread to zoom option like a month ago...and the volume rocker zoom on accident this week.
Conclusion: We're so smart, we're dumb.
Does anyone know how (if possible) to access the resolution data within our phones and if it's possible to permanently change those data values? The current work around that I have to use it on a daily basis is the MIUI camera apk which lets you choose your resolution, but it only holds within the scope of that app. When using other apps, such as SnapChat, it reverts back to the default which doesn't function properly.
Any ideas?
You can't necessarily boost resolution by changing values. It comes down to a hardware limitation. If its only a 1.3MP resolution, then that's all you have to work with.

You can try a third party app like Camera360 Pro, but it will do so in software, which sucks

Well I already have the MIUI camera for everyday use. I'm trying to figure out a way to see if I can permanently change the resolution so that it holds for other apps such as Snapchat.
Bump
What you can do to make it work for the whole OS is lowering/raising the dpi, try looking up apps in the Play Store that let you change it, or apps here on XDA
This would only be for the phone itself though, not any pictures you take

Cool thanks, I'll give that a shot when I have some down time at work and report back.
Lowering the DPI had positive and negative results.
Positive: everything looked a lot crisper, giving it the appearance of having a higher aspect ratio
Negative: not everything flowed properly with the lower DPI and the camera issue within Snapchat was still prevalent
I'll switch back to the default just to make sure everything is functioning properly, but thanks for the help!
For the record, I read this, and used ES File Explorer to make the changes.
EDIT: I'm going to see if there's a camera setting in the build.prop file mentioned in that article that could help for just the camera.

i tend to argue against your advice. that's just absurd!
however.... a pair of vise-grips would work. just pinch it smaller! squeeze it on top and bottom and you'll get a panorama effect!

I hadn't seen this in our forums yet, so just a heads up here in case folks hadn't seen this yet. XDA Dev. sshafranko has a mod to enable the front earpiece speaker to work with the rear speaker when playing sound on the device. I tried it and now have maybe double the volume when watching Youtube, playing music, etc. I'm loving it so far!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/mod-sm-915t-surround-sound-t2955648
The second post has the downloads for the Tmo Note 4. It works with Viper too!
Cool
BAD ASS NOTE 4
This mod is in the dynamickat rom in the developer forum for those interested
I put this on, but I'm not sure I can tell the difference... I guess I need to have a call on speaker to see.

I wasn't sure where exactly the extra sound was coming from, but I do notice about double the strength and volume of sound on videos, music and everything. Also as the dev. said, the file might have an extra .xml at the end of it, and the medium one for Tmo Note 4 that I got did have that. So you have to make sure to remove the extra .xml in the mixer_paths file
