i installed chainfire on my device and the device rebooted and now its stuck on boot, i have tried to wipe data , dalvik cache etc.. but its not working.
Please help this is getting annoying.
Just flash the stock rom via odin through download mode, then make any wipes if needed.. This should solve your problem.

where do i get the stock rom from, and how do i wipe in odin.
Thanks in advance
I Found it, currently downloading
The same thing happened to me but I didn't have to flash the stock ROM. I just flashed CWM recovery in Odin and I was back with no data lost.
Try that first.
Hope it helps.

I am having lot of trouble installing Rom on my Epic 4g touch. I am not sure where I am doing wrong.
Here are the steps i followed to install a new rom
1) Installed SPH-D710.EL29_CL852097_ROOTED-oc-sfx.exe (EL29)
2)E4gtAuto Root options C and L (CWM+ Rouge)
3)Calkulins format all * also did cwm wipe
-- Now my phone is stuck at Samsung Galaxy S screen but I am able to go to download mode and/ cwm
4)Copied Calkulin\'s_E4GT_ROM_v2.8.1.zip
--When i reboot it My phone is stuck at Samsung Galaxy S 2 screen.
What ever ROM I install it just gets stuck Samsung galaxy S2 Screen
Rom's I tried
1)Calkulin
2) Unamed Rom
3)ICS leaked Rom.
Guys I really appreciate your help.
Re download the ROM and this time wipe without using the format all zip, install the ROM. If it still wont work, reinstall the recovery through Odin, that may be your problem.
1 wipe data, system, cache
2 install .zip (ROM) from sd
3 reboot.
Sounds like from your post your skipping step 2
Am i still missing something
1) Restored to pre rooted stock based on EL29 rom
2)Flashed Rouge recovery using ODIN (difference i see between auto root and ODIN based flash is I see yellow triangle)
3)Downloaded Unnamed Rom
4)Wipe (Factory reset, System,Cache)
5)Install zip from SD card(external card)
Again it stucks on Samsung Galaxy S2 screen with yellow triangle.
Thanks for your help.
update: I am able to flash Calkulin but not any other ROM
Try wiping cache and data after the new ROM install. So wipe, install, wipe, reboot.

I tried but I still get the same problem. Maybe Im doing something wrong. I put the phone in download mode, open Odin, plug it in, click PDA, choose the stock I got from the SamMobile site, and it runs completely but then gets stuck on reboot at the Samsung logo still.
go into stock recovery by powering on the phone while holding home and volume up, then choose the option to wipe cache, then reboot.
Agreed. I had a similar issue the other day. I ended up wiping cache in samsung recovery, and if that doesn't work, wipe data factory reset. I tried rebooting, but it still got stuck at the samsung logo. I then flashed CWM recovery or TWRP recovery through ODIN and then download another rom. Do a factory reset within the new recovery / wipe cache/ wipe dalvik/ wipe system/ and then flash the new rom. That will get it to boot.
Moral of the story is to not freak out too much. You're not in trouble.

after multi window mod my international galaxy note n7100 stuck on boot. IT JUST RESTARTS AFTER O2 ANIMATION.
had backup file on TWRP but even after restore - the same.
did factory reset, cleared cache , did format/wipe - still the same.
any ideas ?
installed cwm recovery, tried to wipe cache but everytime it stops and nothing happens, have to remove battery.
should i try different rom? or should i send it back to shop, as not sure if i did VOID warranty (used Galaxy Note2 ToolKit to root, and install TWPR and CWM)

Hi! Today I got semi-bricked Note II. I flashed WanamLite 2.0 and afther that I restored my appz through titanium backup. I played games 20 min, my phone is suddenly rebooted. Now I cant restore my nandroid backup, it success restore /system, but when it start to restore data - recovery shutdown! Same if I try to wipe data - wiping... black screen and reboot. After that I see Samsung Galaxy Note II and Samsung ROM bootanimation. And it stuck. (
What I need to do? Thank you!

Wait a 10 min and its loaded. BUT lagging LIKE HELL and I cant just unblock it. Same **** with recovery - wipe data and recovery suddenly reboot.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Now phone booted from nandroid backup successfully and without troubles, recovering boot and system successful. Restoring /data ... black screen. Reboot. But when I try to wipe data my recovery turns off. Ofc it didnt wipe it. Also I tried PhilZ and Chenglu recovery and same results.
Whats problem? What I need to flash to restore /data partition? Where I can download Rescue ROM or 3-file (PDA PHONE CSC) stock firmware? Will it help? Thx!

I'm experiencing this issue as well.
CWM keeps rebooting whenever i select "wipe data/factory reset"
I've tried re-flashing a stock rom in ODIN with the PIT file which allows me to boot the phone but it is missing apps like Play Store. After flashing a stock rom, I've tried flashing CWM via ODIN to wipe but the same problem of reboot on wipe data still persist.
I've also tried superwipe script and the factory reset from Settings but the phone hangs in all cases.

So there is no way to fix it? Why it persists? Please!
I tried to google this problem. I surfing but I couldn't find some results which can help me and guy who tried to help me.
I think it depends not only the software, it can be hardware failure.
hihi, i'm not sure if u had the exact same problem as me. but i accidently managed to fix it.
1. Go to Download mode.
2. Use PC Odin to flash Stock 4.1.2 (PDA slot) + PIT file(PIT slot)(Check re-partition box) from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696.
3. Phone reboot into stock rom
4. Switch off the phone
5. Hold power + home + up to enter stock android recovery (3e)
6. Wipe data/factory reset. (somehow the data wipe works in stock android recovery, dont ask me why)
7. Reboot phone
8. Switch off phone and enter download mode
9. Use ODIN to flash CWM tar
After that you can enter CWM and shud be able to wipe as normal. Den you can flash any custom rom that you like as before.
This was how I managed to fixed my phone. try at your risk
Hey guys I'm running MyRom 2.1 on my tmobile galaxy note 2, and whenever I wipe data in clockworkmod recovery it powers off and reboots.... everything else works, flashing ROMs, wiping cache and dalvik cache, but wiping data restarts the phone back into recovery. I ttried flashing TWRP but that recovery results in a boot loop, in which I had to flash CWM again from Odin..... I really do not know how to fix this, the ROM I'm running works great, but I really can't flash other roms without being able to wipe data......

You are going to need to odin back to stock then wipe data in the samsung recovery not clockwork recovery then you can odin clockwork recovery and and you will be able to wipe again. Its a pain I know but its what works.
