after multi window mod my international galaxy note n7100 stuck on boot. IT JUST RESTARTS AFTER O2 ANIMATION.
had backup file on TWRP but even after restore - the same.
did factory reset, cleared cache , did format/wipe - still the same.
any ideas ?
installed cwm recovery, tried to wipe cache but everytime it stops and nothing happens, have to remove battery.
should i try different rom? or should i send it back to shop, as not sure if i did VOID warranty (used Galaxy Note2 ToolKit to root, and install TWPR and CWM)

I tried but I still get the same problem. Maybe Im doing something wrong. I put the phone in download mode, open Odin, plug it in, click PDA, choose the stock I got from the SamMobile site, and it runs completely but then gets stuck on reboot at the Samsung logo still.
go into stock recovery by powering on the phone while holding home and volume up, then choose the option to wipe cache, then reboot.
Agreed. I had a similar issue the other day. I ended up wiping cache in samsung recovery, and if that doesn't work, wipe data factory reset. I tried rebooting, but it still got stuck at the samsung logo. I then flashed CWM recovery or TWRP recovery through ODIN and then download another rom. Do a factory reset within the new recovery / wipe cache/ wipe dalvik/ wipe system/ and then flash the new rom. That will get it to boot.
Moral of the story is to not freak out too much. You're not in trouble.

I cannot explain this.
Got my S4 early in May and the next day, received tge MDL ota update. Since then I have been trying to install custom ROMs for the S4 (tmobile). But everyone get stuck on the S4 bootlogo.
I'm using TWRP 2.5.0.1 and ALWAYS do a full wipe(Dalvic, cache, system & Data)
The only way I can get my S4 to work is to ODIN back to stock, TWRP and Root...no other rom works.
What am I doung wrong

Are you flashing a custom kernel, as well? Because you applied that MDL stock firmware update.. you locked your phone down at the kernel level with that update. You need to install a custom kernel that will allow you to use a custom ROM and attain full root.
Just my guess. Give it a try.
You may also want to try this after flashing the stock firmware with ODIN:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294005
Otherwise, here are some kernel options:

Ok. I have wiped the data and both caches, BUT not system.
I installed the Darth v4 Rom, and it works. For the first time I managed to get a rom installed AND it boots correct when I restart the phone again, and again. Before I could not restart the phone and it would not go past the S4 logo.
.
I suspect it has something to do with the way that TWRP is wiping system - it is not correct.

If you would have done a "Factory Reset" along with the other wipes you have done before flashing
you would have not gotten stuck on the boot screen and the phone would have booted up normally.
Always include "Factory Reset" in your "Full Wipes" for best results.

It's because you formatted your system and it has nothing to boot into now. A factory data reset should fix it.

If the system has been wiped a factory reset wont fix it. Its not like a factory reset re-installs what has been wiped

If you have a cwm/twrp flashable rom on your internal/external sdcard or if you have
a nandroid back and if you still have access to get into CWM/TWRP recovery then
why not simply restore a backup or flash a rom?
If you don't have any backups or cwm/twrp flashable zip file roms in your phone
then simply remove the external sdcard and put it into an adaptor and plug it into
your computer, download a cwm/twrp flashable rom and copy it to the sdcard.
Then put the sdcard back in the phone, go into cwm/twrp recovery and flash it.
If you cannot get into cwm/twrp recovery for some god knows what reason you will need
to Odin flash the stock rom in download mode to get the phone running properly again.
Good luck with it!

Trying that as i type. Performed a wipe and reboot'd to DL mode for a stock odin flash. Not optimistic though
any reason why this WOULDNT work?
EDIT: No luck. Went past the samsung screen initially to android stock recovery to finish flash...once it rebooted back to stuck at samsung screen!
EDIT: SOLVED. checked Phone EFS Clear in ODIN...then flash stock. BREEZE
Well do not know what happened.
I was on AOKP ROM 4.2.2 and wanted to try LiquidSmoth v2.9, I made my Nandroid Backup, Wipe everything and flash the ROM, then stuck in galaxy logo, go back to Recovery mode and wipe dalvik and cache and try to boot but nothing. Go back to the recovery mode and restore but it show Error Nandroid restoring / data, wipe everythin again and restoring without / data and still stuck on samsung logo.
Download the stock ROM and Odin for i747 Galaxy S3 and i flash it, but nothing happens, this still stuck on the logo. Odin showed everything correctly. When I enter recovery mode shows red letters that say you can not access to / data.
What I can do?? I can enter Stock Recovery and Download Mode.

I can not believe that just had to do that to initiate smoothly.
That was pretty ugly. But i said: hey this is not brick, i can solve it but i need help.
Thanx man.
And if you have a little more time, maybe you can explain what happened!
I did everything as the steps they take to flash ROM and AOKP previously had done and went well. This time with LiquidSmoth not happened. And lost the nandroid because I could not even restore.
Thanks again man. :good:
Things get kinda wonky like that sometimes. It happened to me last night with SlimBean. Starting all over almost always fixes things for me :good:
Hi, phones been running great until yesterday when it started telling me the disk space was nearly full(via es filee xplorer). It then turned off a few times and i turned it on again. The phone would shut off if I tried to do anything like launch the camera app. It now bootloops when i try to turn it on.
I have tried wiping dalvic cache, factory reset, recover from a recovery point i made when i installed the cm13 rom and reinstalling the custom rom like I did the first time using twrp.
The phone did once go into a boot animation of the old boot screen(02 animation), another time it started the miui boot logo but went back to the normal samsung galaxy note 2 boot loop where its stuck at now.
Any suggestions on how i could get it running again? Thanks!

It should use the same procedure as flash stock ROM. I'm not sure because the last time I did it was some years ago.
I have found another way, it'sā a bit hard, but safer
