Is the Note II an online only item or will it be on sale in stores on Tuesday? I'm wondering because the AT&T smartphones page has it listed as web-only, but that could indicate the pre-order. The language on other tech sites is ambiguous as to whether physical stores will be carrying them.
It goes on sale on the 9th, next Friday. It should be in the stores. Tuesday is the day that the pre-orders are supposed to ship.
As far as I know the 9th is the official release date. So I can only assume the should have them in stores that day.

anyone know where I can preorder a focus? I googled around and found some links to ATT, but that page just says 'coming soon' I know best buy is taking pre orders for the Surround.. but I want the focus.

Don't think you really can yet. I'd suggest calling up a local AT&T store and having them put you on a list or something if they're doing that.
Called two local AT&T stores and they aren't doing preorders. One store said to call back in November to see if they are then. Best Buy Mobile says they are only going to carry the Surround. I guess this could change by launch too.

I wonder why att is not allowing pre orders for delivery on the 8th of Nov? Normally they have a two day and next day shipping option. They should simply allow pre ordering and then ship on the 6th or 7th depending on what type of shipping you paid for. (When I ordered a phone over the phone years ago, two day shipping was free and next day tacked on a $10 shipping fee.)

When is AT&T going to make an official announcement of what devices will be available, when and for how much? We all know that November 8th is the day and they are supposed to be $199. But is the $199 after rebate? Without Rebate? Also, Engadget said in their Focus review it would be the only device available November 8th. So will there be no Surround on launch day?
It's less than 2 weeks away and AT&T has yet to put down any firm dates, prices, etc. Their website still says "Coming Soon". I called my local AT&T store and they told me November 8th, but said to call back as it could easily change.
Heck, at least T-Mobiles website lists a date, price (including $50 rebate) and device.

By could easily change, it'll probably come in a few days early like the Captivate did - they might get release to sell it early. Unless they're getting same day shipments in the morning, odds are the phones will come in Thurs-Sat.
The Surround is available at Best Buy exclusively, but there's no date on how long it lasts.
Hi, i'm in Munich for vacations... and will be leaving Sep 26th...
I wanted to buy a Galaxy Note 2 from a carrier or retailer before leaving... per gsmarena.com release is expected in Germany the 27th. Do any of you have an idea on which retailers are going to sell the Note II?
Or if it would be possible to me to get it a day before launch date. If this is possible. Maybe asking politely?

My coworker ordered a white one this morning 11/9. He got a confirmed ship date of 11/12 - 11/15. So I guess YMMV. $75 off is still not bad for a newly released phone (if your not in a hurry and are ready to sign up for another 2 year contract!).
