Hello, i was wondering if there is a change log maintained for public by Samsung for when they release OTA.
Also for india i see there is LJ1,2 and 3. But i see people mentioning LJ-7 . What is this? and has it not released for India yet?

Samsung doesn`t post changelogs mate. But different numbers also have to do with the region where they are released. A higher number at the end isn`t always a newer build.

Hello
Let me go and take my crystal ball .
"Ok oh mighty crystal ball , will Samsung ever honor us with an update for our phone ?"
"No clue ! contact Samsung ! "
Now, let`s let jokes aside ... nobody knows, some rumors were posted online about 4.3, and then 4.4 ... i really hope we will skip directly to 4.4 . 4.3 Was buggy on some phones

so, how to get it ?
my device is samsung a5 2017
Same problem, but there is no solution without changing csc.but now change csc is more risky. I saw so many users have problems after changing csc like unknown baseband and imei .Unfortunately we have to wait for ota.
no update for camera

4/23/2018 Update:
Seems Big Red made a big snafu in their announcement on their update page about the latest OTA being an Oreo update. Whoops!
http://www.androidguys.com/2018/04/2...alaxy-s7-oreo/
Also, they have fixed their software update page and removed all references to Oreo from the latest OTA:
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-s7-update/
It looks like we'll be seeing it before the end of May possibly:
https://androidcommunity.com/samsun...0-oreo-update-coming-in-a-few-weeks-20180424/
=========================================
Per Android Community, the finishing touches are being done on Oreo for the S7 family which includes those of us on Verizon's version of the phone as well as unlocked phones.
No firm date has been set yet, but it could be any day now.
https://androidcommunity.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-s7-edge-to-receive-android-8-0-oreo-update-20180418/
Per SamMobile, the US variants have been certified with Oreo.
https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-s7-oreo-update-inches-closer
For many, this may not be a big deal, especially if you root and flash. But for those of us that have no need to root and flash custom ROMs, this is big news. But sadly, it probably also marks the last official upgrade for the S7s. We'll probably get one more year of security updates and then we're on our own at that point.
FYI: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/samsung-galaxy-s7-update,
the update hasn't been release just yet

Yes, there has been some misunderstanding at Verizon. The changelog for the BRC3 says Oreo and lists all the features but it's actually still Nougat OS. Can you share the screenshot from your device of the software info screen showing the Android OS and build no. both?

did they push the wrong update? or publish the wrong change log?
i think it was a fix for the update we had earlier this month , it was sucking my battery.

I definitely had an update applied in last two days at least that is BRC3 so looks like wrong changelog. Verizon support is clueless but is forwarding it to their IT team supposedly..
Edit: Also they mention April 1st security patch in Oreo/BRC3 changelog, I do have that as well but I think those can be pushed without OS update. None of the Oreo features are anywhere to be found though and still 7.0 according to about this phone.
or maybe its a multi-stage update.
an update to prepare for the update.

If you're not on Verizon's network, you own't receive the update. You'll have to wait for someone to upload the Verizon image and then ODIN it.

Phone Settings/Software Update.
Click on update when its finished it will give you your version numbers and usually information about the latest update installed. (Unless you have updated via odin then it doesn't seem to show that information.)
I think the latest update are just a fix with some carrier issues. Mine got it, and before I was dropping out of calls. Its the second july update wit july security. Tje first one in july was the one with the camera improvement.
Hi. I rebranded from AL00 to EVR-L29 a couple months ago. Initially I got a few updates that got me to build number
10.1.0.258(C432E8R1P7)
and
EMUI 10.1. 0
Has anyone that similarly rebranded been updated to EMUI 11? If so, how did it happen? Was the update automatic or did you to do something to have it happen.
Thanks!
My rebrand was done by the Ministry of Solutions.
I'm in identical situation. Still waiting for EMUI 11.
please contact me through website support number
I will update it,
