Are there any flash able ROMs using only cwm or twrp?
Sent from my HTC One V using xda app-developers app
Yes. All rings are flashable. Ad looking as your using an ICS boot.IMG, you can flash 4.0 roms with no problem.
If your on a JB boot animation, you can flash 4.1+ roms. Just be aware to what kernel your using.

Yes. Most people use the boot.IMG found in the Rom, most of the time its this kernel, if your on CDMA like me, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844049
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
From that zip, and flash the zip after flashing the Rom

OK I understand the kernel is like telling the phone what bios to use like an emulator. So if I go from stock to amazing sense I'm totally good to go no CPU needed. Am I right?

get the boot.img of the rom and the kernel you want to use and then repack.
But what use is that? Like what are the benefits of doing it?

You need to learn what the kernel does first, then it should make sense...

When I flashed KISS kernel on stock ROM, it didn't boot......for half an hour....

Is there any work in progress to break the lock?
In 3 months I have flash ed 4 kernels, now on cm10 paranoid I can't get flashed the kernel
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
Why ...what's the error its telling you
That cannot detect device and cannot load kernels..but all in one tool do flash recoverys...
I'm sure kernels are put in the correct folder and have rename kernel to boot.img

Maybe check for an update to the all in one tool your using, or learn to install the SDK and platform tools so you can do the fast boot commands in the command line. Not a bad thing to know how to do.

So I have the supersick kernel and my stock Rom is all screwed up (don't ask how) but I was wondering. I have no computer it just broke like 3 days ago, can I flash a deodexed or odexed stock Rom without flashing the boot.img over the Rom? Can I just flash the stock Rom and reboot and be set? I have no way to flash a boot.img so I don't want my phone to be sitting here in a bootloop till I find a computer any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

It depend s on your current kernel.
If you've have a sense kernel- you can flash any sense Rom .
If you've have a jelly bean kernel Rom and if a ics aosp kernel, any ics aosp Rom.

Is rom customizer a good way to flash a rom? And what about rom manager?
Sent from my HTC One V using xda premium
R: [Q] rom customizer
Hell no dude, rom manager in particular bricked so many phones, never use it
Ow okay, is there an other way to flash a ROM with your phone??

R: [Q] rom customizer
Well, you can only flash with the recovery. If you are soff you don't need to flash kernel with the computer, otherwise you have to flash kernel every time. Don't use any app to flash roms, they can be dangerous, just use recovery, it's easy and simple
Okay, but i dont know much about recovery mode :$
