Edit: Changed subject. And...
Seems I for some reason can't d/l the XDA Developers app, it's not available...
Anyone have a clue why and/or a solution?

Well other than the above mentioned... You can try the XDA-Developers app in the WP Marketplace it's $.0.99
There's also XDA Web Browser if your device is unlocked and can sideload XAP's.

Eh, I don't find any XDA-Developers app in Market/Bazaar/Devstore8 accept that 'Fast XDA' which doesn't support posting a.s.o... I have no issues paying $.0.99 but need to find the app...
Edit: Found a link to it at 'Pocketnow'... 'Not available in your region'... So it's not on sale in Scandinavia, hehe? #wtfness

A new WP XDA App will be coming soon I feel.

So, opening the link to it in my phone gives...
(!) This app is not available for your device. More info. > This might be because your phone software needs to be updated, the app is exclusive to a different mobile provider, or the app is not available in your region. [CLOSE]
As stated before. Wtfness?

the XDA app sucks... so, don't bother buying it if you do fine it. it is old and outdated.
i suggest Board Express. there is a free and paid version. BE has a lot more features and actually gets updated.

welcome, glad i could help.
no point in buying an app that the developer doesn't even support.
sadly, that developer is XDA.

Mmm, I was just about to use it and realize the list, subscribed threads, when entered you land on the first post. Eh, but a thread like the S2 CM10 thread with 20k posts, so am I supposed to scroll through that with the pages list or what? That makes the app basically unusable, if I gotta do that every time I check my posts... What I want is of course to land on the first unread post in a thread - a function supported by vBullentin as well as the Tapatalk API, it's just weird if that isn't supported in the app...

see Settings. also, you can tap the page / post count in the top right corner to scroll more quickly.
works the same way in the XDA app.
XDA app is based on Board Express.

Aah, now I found it. I didn't realize there was multiple settings pages.
Though jump to last unread is set as default but it doesn't do it, it jumps to first. Might be a bug or unsupported feature in the free app perhaps? I'll d/l the full one and test.
Edit: Yes. Worked in the full app. Awesomeness. Once again a big thanks.

Disappointed with new xda app.

Just downloaded, and now whenever I open a thread it opens on the first page!
Edit: now last page.
I know there's a paid version which includes options for which page to open on as default. But to me it's not cool to take this functionality away from the free users or at least don't downgrade our experience with this I assume vastly unpopular default.
Edit: last page is definitely an improvement over first but why take away this feature from free users? To me this just says you can't come up with enough new features to sell your product to paying customers.
Needless to say I'm installing and restoring a backup of the old version.
Edit: yep, I'm still rolled back.
Also the market won't open your page for me to lower my 5 stars, but when it does *shakes fist*
Edit: the page opened, & I lowered my rating.
Swyped on XDA app.
Agreed. The last update remove some features and functionality and now there is no free version in the market. Guess I will restore an older version.

It's a transparent version of the old one.
I cannot find the thread I got this from so I can't properly credit. Needless to say thx go to the dev.

Yeah thats not gonna fly here. just sittin on the old one and will till thats taken out. Haven't herd any reason why that would be needed at all.
Maybe a new design team has taken over, with a new team leader trying to make his mark in the world. I may have just made him up, but I hate her.

I understand that the paid app had more features, but I don't like out that the free version is a downgraded version of the previous (also free) version.
I don't mind paying for android apps, I often do and I even donate voluntarily to xda members, but the problem here is that I don't like the principle of removing features to get people to buy the paid version...

[Suggestion] - Premium version with no ads

Is there any thought going on to have a premium membership without ads for xda.
I know majority wont agree but would love to browse the forum without ads and help the community with a premium version
Use the aPP

thanks. But i am aware of the app. But how about when using my computer ?
Currently i prefer using the app all the time becoz i can have 50 posts per page , viewing pics is better and so on.
I wish some of these features were included in the web version, atleast as a premimum feature.
You can set 50 posts-per-page in the browser, it's in the User CP somewhere. I love it, all those 100+ page threads magically turns into 20-pagers.
Ads.. They are on everything.

Where did the XDA forum app go?

Hi,
is it only me or has the XDA Forum app been removed from the android market?
Thanks for feedback,
It's gone for me, as well. I couldn't find it on my Rezound, my Kindle Fire, my Eris, or my PC. Thankfully, I had it backed up in Titanium Backup. The odd thing is that if I restore it with TiBu, the app will show as having an available update and the update will download and install normally. Even after the app is installed and updated, it still fails to show in the market if I do a search.
me too, tried to get it on my new Note, but couldn't find it so have to use browser.
It's been removed for the moment...

I couldn't even find it through my PC's browser. I went to play.google.com and searched but all that comes up is something called "XDA-Developers TV".

Please also make it available on an alternate market.
I bought XDA Premium before Sep. 2011 but since then Google has changed their checkout method so I can no longer buy any applications from the Market.
I don't think prohibiting users from countries based on Google's bizarre policy is consistent with the XDA spirit.
yeah I went to manually find the APK, and all I could get was the premium version. I'm not trying to warez it, lol, so I just said forget it

I actually see no reason why the free apk couldn't just be hosted directly from this site, in addition to the market.
So sad :-( I liked the app
tapatalk works ok though doesn't it?
Why don't you guys learn to properly use search?

And you need to learn how to take a deep breath, count to ten, and consider that maybe, just maybe, I spent half an hour trying to find the answer to my question before finding this thread. Someone else was kind enough to post an answer to the question, so your post was unecessary. Go yell at noobs for posting Qs in the dev forums or something.

malware warning from chrome coming to xda

Content from security.rltk.us, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Is what I'm getting. anyone else?
I also got this. Xda needs to do something. I hope all the users have good paid antivirus. Not the the free or hacked kind.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
I also got this message, but not on every page. I think it's because of some special ads on the side / top which might be untrustworthy?
Yar, getting it too.
i to got it but webroot showed nothing in the scan, weird?
I confirmed its from a new ad that Xda is running on some of their pages, If you enable adblock on xda (i hate doing that becasue i support this site) the warning goes away.
Granted xda needs to do something.

The malware is just probably some add sites on which they embed php codes inside the image files for tracking page views. Pretty harmless to me

If you are a chrome user.. you need to add an adblock extension from chrome store..
Firefox means addon of adblocker ... well till this issue gets resolved.. later you can remove it..

Strange. It will not load the forum for me.
I'm now using the XDA one app. Which is good.
Bit I use multiple forums and would like to have one app for all.

@Valiceemo
Ah, that makes sense. That's exactly why I have AutoCorrect off 100% of the time!
I see this every time I go to XDA in Tapatalk. This is just one of many issues/complaints I have with the latest update.
Same problem here...
I see all my usual forums okay. And can browse our search for new ones. But how do I get tapatalk to show me all the blog posts? It used to be an option in the drop down selection box but that's now all the forums within xda instead.
I've been fumbling around with it since the update. Tried to install my backuped version but that was a no go for some reason, it would just hang.
It seems to me to be a problem since the last update. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Frustrated!
I've got the same problem : no access to XDA since 2 days.
I've tried to delete and recreate the forum into tapa. But no way.
And then, I've noticed that there was an app update, from 4.6.2 to 4.10.1 on the market, with probably change of Google Play signature.
BTW, that would explain I didn't receive any notification for this app update.
So I installed the new one (new design, new UI) and it works now.
Strange behaviour from Tapatalk company...
Okay for opening the sub forum just click the Xda-Developers on the top screen.
---------- Post added at 07:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 AM ----------
Screenshot for more detail
For those who can't connect, try reboot the phone/Disable then enable the wifi/data connect.
Still same problem ?
Use the xda app (couse tapatalk use multi forum)
Already tried those solutions but no way. Tapatalk guys definitly changed their app. So uninstall and reinstall is a working method (at least for me) [emoji3] .
I have a few general questions regarding Tapatalk and this looks like the perfect forum to ask (so I'll just ask)...
I participate on a lot of different forums (as most of you do as well) and right now I'm just using the stock browser that comes with CM11/M12 on my GT-P5113 and see a lot of signatures advertising "Send from OnePlus One using Tapatalk".
So, my questions are:
Is reading/posting easier/better using Tapatalk (better than using the stock tablet browser in desktop mode)?
Is Tapatalk supported by all forums (forum software) and how do you know?
If Tapatalk is not supported by a forum (forum software) what do you use to read/post messages?
Thanks.
