What browse do you use? I use Chrome at the moment on freesg3 jb, but it seems to be a pretty heavy app. Looking for something that is lighter but just as functional. Dolphin seems to be even heavier than chrome...

Dolphin is great but I get way less screen time per charge if I spend time on it compared to other things. Would also like to know if any browsers exist that wouldn't use as much power, not necessarily faster.

I use chrome as well. Unless it needs flash, then i use the stock android.
I use Boat Browser. Simple, fast, small and wonderful.

I hear ya. I know I'm not getting those functions out of any browser just looking for something lightweight for casual browsing. I think I can manage handling 2 browsers for different tasks.

I use opera. It's light, quick, and efficient.
IMO Chrome is the most useful browser considering all the integration with the things I use most often. Today's Android update has brought even more speed and stability.

I was using Chrome for awhile, but it was just so unruly on my EVO 3d and lacks flash. I mainly use opera and dolphin. As mentioned, dolphin does seem heavy. I'm still looking for that perfect browser.
I vaguely remember using maxthon on my old tablet. I'm actually going to download it right now.
definitely Dolphin
On cm10 I use the stock Android browser. I used to use Chrome but it feels much slower now.
Been playing around with Ninesky. Interface is a bit clunky but integrated flash is great. Otherwise I like Dolphin.

So I'm tired of using like 3 different browsers for different applications. I use Firefox because its what I use on my desktop and I like the look and feel. I use chrome for the simplicity and speed sometimes, going to try switching to chrome on my desktop, I liked the bookmark sync Firefox has I think chrome has it too. But not everything works on chrome... I have to use stock browser for things like checking my sub trust account. And then there's Opera browser I like because I can make everything in desktop mode. What browser(s) do you guys use and is there just one I might be able to use instead of all 3?

You can request a desktop version of almost any site with the stock ics browser by just hitting the menu button and checking that option.
I use Opera Mini for everything.
The Chrome browser doesn't have flash?? Is it going to get it?
I'm currently using the stock ICS browser in CM9 and it gets the job done. Previously I used Dolphin Browser HD.
Im using stock browser too its really fast and can do java/flash within less then a second even on bad days!

The AOSP browser works the best for me.
I think it is up to the user I used to use dolphin hd with the gb roms. But I have always been a fan of chrome so when ICS came out I switched to that and have no complaints I keep the stock browser installed just in case there is something that chrome cant handle chrome still is in beta I think. And the stock ICS browser is not that bad at all.

Unfortunately Adobe dropped support for mobile, so only the stock browser can do flash. I remember when they announced the chrome app it said something about not supporting flash. HTML5 video works great though!

I have tried them all as well. I like Boat Browser. No flaky UI issues like dolphin, fully functional layout kinda Mozilla like. flash works great with it.
It is also very customizable. Imports bookmarks and is very fast. My $0.02 worth..
I like Maxthon. Give that one a shot. It has tabs and a nice fullscreen mode.
The only issue I don't like is the tooltips that pop up, and so far there is no setting to turn them off. They have told me they are working on that though.

i am gonna have to say chrome for this one...... i dunno why but for what i need it for it works just fine. The only thing that i have found that bugs me is that the 2 finger zoom thing that is in the "browser" is not supported here. Yeah, yeah i know its dumb but ya know what i use it from time to time when pinch2zoom is not as easy to use, for example when my 2 year old baby wants to sit on my lap doesnt want to move because he "wants me". ya know stuff like that.....just sayn...
Hey guys, I've been reading quite abit ibn the forum and heard many people saying that is you compare chrome vs the Samsung browser, chrome drains more battery in general use? Is this true or a myth?
If not, what other browser are recommended on our note 2?

As crazy as that sounds it is true. The stock browser is power efficient. I have tested browsing on stock, chrome and Dolphin and it seems the stock browser is like 30% - 50% more efficient than the rest. I tested this in my Att GS3 but saw similar results on the GN1 also. Dolphin is the worst of you want to try it. I LOVE that browser even with that deficiency.

I use both the stock and Chrome.
I use stock if I'm opening a link from an email or another app, but it's good to have Chrome as it syncs with my laptop, so any tabs I have open on my laptop, or last had open, are easily accessible,
Plus all of my browsing and search history from the laptop. Very handy when you can't remember the page you were looking at before on your laptop.
Stock all the way. I save my bookmarks to my Google folder.. ..

None other than Stock, and for big and complicated downloads, Opera.
You might feel Maxthon is best today, Boat the next day or Chrome the day after but you will eventually and ultimately come back to stock.

Chome, because it syncs my pages and bookmarks. I like using Chrome-to-Phone too.
Your not the only odd one bro because I rather use the stock too. (My opinion) It makes know sense to use another browser when the stock does it all. As long as I can get flash with the stock I'm Good.

I like Chrome
Chrome, use it almost exclusively on my other devices because of how nicely everything syncs
I'd say Chrome is my favorite Android web browser so far, but the Firefox Beta browser is quickly becoming more of a daily driver. I like how Firefox Beta handles flash heavy pages and video content.
for general web browsing - opera
for more desktop experience - firefox or aurora
for pron/videos - aurora - supports flash and has on of the the best html5 video support, especially if you choose iPad UA. chrome is #2 for this.
While I like chrome, I always go back to dolphin because of the plugins (especially Lastpass).

Chrome. Dolphin browser can be more convenient and easily navigatable at times, but also hates a lot of websites.. Half the time you press a link and it does nothing for me. Then to change browsing type (android, desktop, tablet, mobile), you have to go deeper into settings than liked. Personally overall I like chrome more

Nope. It's actually quite efficient. It takes Less RAM, than the xda app. 0.3mb less. And is barely any noticeable impact on battery life. What will kill your battery though is having your screen on though like with any app.

AOSP would probably be my second choise...
