Try cleaning the port with a dry toothbrush and some compressed air

Don't say that you live in India ?
BTW I'll also suggest you to clean your port with a soft fabric or something else.

Had the same problem, ended up with the phone not charging at all, and a strange smell of burned chips while plugged... Now the phone works, but it doesn't charge at all, luckily I've 3 batteries and a wall charger, so I charge it in that way, but it's still a problem.
I'll suggest to do not force to charge it, probably some connectors are messed up. Leave it discharge, take the battery apart and leave it stay for a couple of hours, then try to see if the problem is solved. If not, clean the connector, and try to put the phone without battery and back cover in a dish with some rice, it will eventually absorb humidity. If even this doesn't work, RMA or something more aggressive like open the phone, search for disconnected cables, reconnect them and/or replace microUSB connector...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
That is usually due to dirty connectors. Happens all the time when you don't use the plug on your phone because you battery swap or something. Remove battery for 1minute and use a toothbrush dampened in alcohol, try to scrub those pins, usually works within the first go.
The usb port is pretty easy to replace on your own..
Does it says charging at lockscreen with 99%?
If yes its normal. Unplug the charger, wait 10 secs and plug again. Now it shoulg go to 100%

Yeah..screen ontime would help. I usually last like 14 hours with 5 hours screen on time. I don't hold back since I have a spare on the external charger lol.

You should give undervolting a shot if your kernel supports it. That helps with reducing power consumption while in use, while juice defender helps with reducing power consumption while not in use.

yeah that's rather bad. i would put on average that our phone would last 4+ hours display on screen without the use of JD and other stuff.
I would say voice uses more battery than display on.. but barely... like 1.3 : 1 ratio in use voice : display.
Your android system looks a bit high too. Maybe a fresh wipe and install would help things.

Hi all, been having a problem charging my phone. It charges, but I'm constantly getting two wakelocks while doing so... "PowerManagementServices" and "vbus - tuna_org" I've had them on both gummy 1.2, with Franco (recent nightlies and milestone) and with the linaro cm9 build with trinity kernel.
Both occurs with fast charge on and off, and usb charge, a/c charge and my newtrent battery. I have also tried two different usb cords, and 2 chargers including the factory one. Any suggestions?

No problem it seems as if its trying to enumerate something as if a USB peripheral is connected. That's what I would think for he otg wake lock. Definetly try out stock and see if that still occurs. And see how long it takes to charge. If nothing else take it in and say something g is wrong. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours tops to charge.

Ok but how about recharging in the time of using HDMI and playing some real games (NOVA3, MAxPayne ...) , it uses 11pins so it actually recharges phone while using or battery power drops ?

I have an mhl cable from my S2. I only used it once and then had the problem of random car mode activation for a few weeks after. Thankfully this sorted itself out and may not have been related to the cable. I was close to returning the phone at one point.
Would this cable work on the S3?

If anyone is asking if the iPhone fits anywhere into this conversation, here it is:
this is nothing. I have seen on the news, iPhone have survived drops from airplane during parachute jump. Also the iPhone helped saved people in every big natural disaster since its inception.
Nobody even mentioned the iPhone in this thread. Nobody cares. You see it on the news cause apple whores itself out to the media.

Lmao this phone wouldn't even last that long if it sad in airplane mode that entire time. Post actual screen shots with the corresponding screen on time, and any other details. Unless you have an extended battery, this phones average screen on time is 3.5-4.5 hours with the best setup. Which means you barely even touched the phone in that 4 days.
It's fishy enough that the screen on bar from that picture is missing..

I never charged it during that time. No i didnt use my phone heavily during that time. Be that as in may, thats 96 hours on with 3.5 hours of screen on time and only 87% battery loss. Standby time was very impressive.
