im using rooted stock rom, when i boot with triangle away, it say im in custom and counter is 1, so i use it to reset, but after i check again, it still the same, anyone can teach me how can i get rid of that?
Do you have a custom recovery? Chainfire states quite clearly that using a custom recovery will cause that.

Same problem but i don't flash nothing in download mode. Only ROM in stock.
i had this issue apart from reflashing back to stock rom i read that if you did a factory reset it also works. Its just a pain installing all your apps again and setting the phone back up again.
But what will trigger this again? It quite pain if i need to do this frequently

I rooted my Note II with SU. I have not flashed any roms, still running stock. The problem is this: I downloaded Triangle Away and reseted counter. Then I uninstalled it, and did a full unroot with SU. Status still said "modified" so I then did a hard reset of the phone. Now, it's stuck in a boot-loop wth the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" logo.
I have no idea what to do, and I guess I had no idea what I was doing. Please help me out!

It should work but if you have the knox flag there will be no reset of it.
You seem to have not upgraded to the mj9 bootloader (one which has 'knox warranty void' message)... check your bootloader via zdevice test app.. if it is 'Dmg1' then you can reset it...

yes it is compatible and it will reset your counter but knox counters will still and status will be modified
whats the point of using triangle on 4.3 knox enabled firmwares ? if the knox counter goes to 01 bye bye warranty ! you can reset the binary counter to 0 but whats the point doing so!
Could someone confirm that i can reset the counter to 0 on a 4.3 (MK4) custom rom with MJ5 bootloader without changing the knox flag to 1 ( it is set to 0 now, of course )?
And also, after using triangle away ( if possible ) my status will become official if i'm using a stock kernel?
You need to be on STOCK kernel in order to Reset counter on 4.3 I flashed stock and rooted and then reset.
I tryed with custom rom like DN3 and its not working.

Did you try root method #2 in the link that audit13 provided you with? It will root you and remove knox so you won't have knox trying to block SuperSU. But it will certainly void any warranty you may have (if the things you have attempted haven't done so already).

Si have done that also & many other Still no change
Flash TWRP with Odin via PDA
Reboot to recovery then flash SuperSu and the Knox Remover
Everything showed Success
After downloading Super su its says binary something etc
Not success
The usual message is "binary needs updating" which is easy to satisfy.
But you got us guessing. 'something something' is hard to troubleshoot.

Have you considered using a custom rom like maybe S3Rx it is very stable way better than AT&T 4.3 and it is pre rooted with no knox. Your warranty is already void anyhow check it out in the development section. I have to warn you though it is a large file due to all of the options it has for you to pick from as far as what you actually want to flash on the phone. That's what I'm running now and won't use anything else.

The S3Rx has less bugs than the stock 4.3 glad I made the switch, but it isn't for everyone. To each his own. But don't rule them out. I don't do nightlies because of the bugs I only do stable roms.
There is another stock 4.3 in the development section that is a stock AT&T rom and has knox removed with selinux set to permissive. It is pre rooted aswell it is by loserskater IIRC it's in a thread by updwn4par. Good luck and happy flashing.

Hello there, I'm stuck here with what seems to be an unbrickable TMO Galaxy S4. I've tried just aboout everything under the sun and it's still stuck in bootloop. Heres a list of things I've tried and hopefully someone and help me get this thiing up and running soon.
1. Factory Reset, then flash the MDL firmware thru odin. It passed, restarted then finishing installing in the stock recovery. Went to the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen, blacked out then rebooted = FAIL!
2. Install a custom recovery, wiped the entire phone(formatted data, wiped system, data, cache, internal, dalvik cache and did an factory reset. Then flashed Darth Stalker X1. It tried booting the first go then the screen went haywire and the phone got incredibly hot. pulled battery and it booted all the way up and a few hours later back to bootlooping but now that last fix doesn't work anymore. FAIL!
3.Updated to the MK2 firmware, wiped everything again, tried booting. Still bootloop. Installed Custom recovery Wiped everything and tried 2 different roms 1 including the X1 from before. Still Bootloop. FAIL!
4. Now I've updated to the lastest firmware, NB4. Downloaded and flashed NB4 roms like Insane Kit Kat V9 and more. Still the same results. Only time I even got a glimpse at a boot animation is when I flashed a CM based rom but its still bootlooping. FAIL!
I'm so lost on what to do next, I just need some guidance to get me on the right track to success. Please anyone who knows anything help me.

Looks like you've done quite a bit to fix this problem, but I'll throw in a few suggestions. May not work, but it won't hurt. Some of this might seem redundant, but who knows; it might help.
First, because KNOX has already been tripped, I'd try to flash a non-TouchWiz ROM via recovery. Once you've flashed CM11 or whatever you choose, I'd grab the charging cable that came with the phone and flash the NB4 firmware via Odin. (The reason for flashing a non-TW ROM then restoring to the factory image is that I've always encountered problems when restoring the stock image from a TW ROM like still having user data intact and other odd stuff. Flashing non-TW guarantees everything is gone.)
If you can't boot from that I'd try to manually update your modem to NB4. I know it should have flashed via Odin you updated to NB4, but I've noticed that sometimes the modem doesn't update when flashing the factory firmware in Odin. I've never updated my bootloader past MDL; just custom recovery and updated modem/baseband) and when using Odin to restore back to MDL, my modem will still say NB4. It wouldn't really cause a problem with MDL bootloader and a newer modem, but I could see how there could be a conflict if you still have the MDL modem and newer bootloader.
Good luck.

Yea that's the thing, I was under the impression it was an m919 as well that's why I posted the pics. When I initially got the phone it had m919 when booting and in the download mode. But after all those testing I'm now assuming that the previous owner change it somehow to show m919 instead of what it really could be. So the question now is what variant this is or how to figure out what it is?

This may be a little easier. I found a site with ask identifying marks for all S4 variants. Take a look and see which one you have. Then we can go from there.

I was on a custom rom though that wasnt TW... This problem started after I installed Insane Rom.. I dont think its a hardware because this problem only occured after installing Insane ROM. Because if it was a hardware issue then the S-Voice, Skype, Google Now, etc would not work. Before that, every ROM I installed was no problemo.... I tested it with S-Voice and Skype and it was working fine.
Something went wrong after I flashed the Insane ROM that screwed up my phone
We 1st need to know if you took the OTA nb4 firmware. Are you on mdl, mk2 or nb4 bootloader?

You download the stock image from:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Then you go into download mode while connected to your laptop and use Odin to flash the stock image.

OK. You already have Knox so your warranty is void. This is what you will have to do. Download Fennys full nb4 firmware and flash it. You need to do a full wipe before you flash in Odin. Get Odin ready uncheck auto-reboot and load fennys file. Boot in recovery and wipe data, cache, dalvik, system and then do a factory reset. Once you finish wiping stay in recovery and choose to reboot in download mode. Once in download plug phone to your PC and you should see the com light light up. Once you see the light click start and wait for it to say pass. Once you pass pull the battery out and reboot in recovery by pushing power+volume up and wipe data, cache and dalvik and factory reset. Once you have wiped reboot phone and profit. I would like you to find Fennys thread and thank him. Here's the link for the file you need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52924856

Ok so I'm downloading that file right now
A) So after its done, I put it on my phone and flash it right?
B) Which part do I load that file in Odin, bootloader, phone, pda, etc?
C) After I flash it, wipe everything and how do I do a factory reset?
A) no, flash in PC
B) PDA
C) only thing you will be able to do is factory reset which is fine.. Just boot into recovery and factory reset

There's something that's not getting wiped. Were you on CM by any chance?

I hate to say it but most users that experience your problem end up having a hardware issue. If you have insurance you are better off getting a replacement.

Actually the problem is putting Aosp or Cm on your phone and then going back to TW. It is a well known issue. Aosp and CM leave files behind in your internal SD that you cannot wipe through recovery. To fix that you will need the superwipe zip and then you can go back to TW. Google superwipe and flash the file to wipe your phone completely. Then flash whatever ROM you want. Insane KitKat is flawless. There is no bugs unless you modify with xposed.
