[Q] Self brightnees problem in Xperia S

Hello
I noticed a strange case, and so far I can not find its causes, so ask. Model 12W14 ABAC, soft XTX7, Lock. bootloader, touch firmware 7. When i turn on some heavy 3D games, and playing a while the screen itself slightly reduces its brightness, and when i return to the os menu for a while it returns to the level previously set by me (in my case 100%)
What could be causing this? I do not think that it was a light sensor (ambient light sensor) I've noticed it recently, and I'm not sure is that previously occurred. After a series of tests, I noticed that the screen after reaching temperature (above 42C) changes in brightness (more cool colors, less saturated). I do not have any yellow spots, but its surprise me. And now my question - whether mounted screens in this series have been so, and it is only due to the fact that they are in LCD technology, and thats how they react to heat, or any other reason? Or is this a bug in ICS firmware

Maybe u can try app 'disable auto brightness for xperia' in play store. Hope can help u and pls reply the result...

I have exactly the same problem and I'm pretty sure that it's related to temperature.
By looking at other threads, I understand that I need a de-odexed rom and change something in init.d.
But what are these things?!
Isn't there any noob guide around?
This issue is totally on my nerve.

You need to root your phone first then flash a deodexed version of your Rom then you can change init. Go the the Xperia s android development thread look for root and deodexed threads

In the meantime , I had a lot of problems after buying this phone . , I was satisfied that I had previously xperia neo software development Afzaray her time voters had a lot to offer . , But now I 'm on the phone troubles
1 : Can I transfer files from a memory card to program management . Means there's no such option !
2 : After the battery is charged to 99 % and should like to go once I got too damn Vja 100 %
3 : After turning off the screen , for example, the software behind the scenes insight when I switched back to the face plate , the power button does not turn the screen on for approximately 10 seconds to re- light when the picture
The noise was very high and the camera in the room light
Do you have this problem ?
When there is no debug option Vsb he should do ? Because this version of Android were so flawed ?

which firmware are you using?

4.2.2
build number 15.2.A.12
model:C2005
Sony did not officially updated software. Between the error occurs
And another problem is that the usb debugging option in settings does not exist and I do not know if it will even download the flash tools to do the job?
C 2004 & C 2005 are the same? Have the software CD in 2004 I got fired, or stay up thirty ftf files come in 2005?

Read forums they are same phone model number c2004 and c2005 are country specific models but are the same phone

Changes from 4.4 to 5.1.1

Hi there.
I've just updated my z1c from 4.4 to 5.1.1 and everything is fine with it...
I just have few things to ask for:
1) it seems that app icons on home are bigger than in KK. Isn't it? If yes, is there a way to make them smaller, with gravity box or other mods?
2) while watching videos or photos in full screen mode on facebook, chrome and other apps, status and navigation bars don't disappear. I remember that before updating they did, but i don't remember if it was due to some function of GB or other mods. What do you think about it? Is there anything i could do to make it happen?
3) which sound mod could you advise for a volume increse with minimum quality loss?

1) Serajr Xperia Xposed has an icon size adjustment, (maybe GB too, not sure). See screenshot- I set it to 50.
2) Mess around with 'immersive mode' in GB > display.
3) not sure about sound mods...

Just tried it, and you're right. I don't typically use it, so I didn't realize it wasn't working. Funny, all other GB tweaks I've used are working. I'll search some...

Testing out 'force immersive mode' from Xposed. Working so far. You can enable in each app. Try it out.

Yes, it works, but for example in Facebook Just when i open a photo or a video, it stop working and status and Navigation bars appear again

I wouldn't be surprised if it's not perfect across all apps. Another option is called 'app settings'. It's similar, but has more options to set per app. I don't use FB, so I couldn't help w that...

Is it worth to update from KK to LP? I mean did you see some improvements in performance aside to UI and other LP's releated things? I need a suggestion bc I'm very attempted to update but I don't wanna end as a my friend who saw her G3s inexorably die after the update.

Stagefright fix, ultra stamina mode.
Probably other things, but this is what's new IMHO.
If you update, be ready to deal with less battery (but the gap isn't that huge).
Z1C is very snappy with this update, it won't die now for sure !

Stragefright doesn't scare me so much because I generally don't download any MMS that I receive LOL
So, in the end, I guess I'll stay with this wonderful KK.

I meant less battery life in normal mode of course
I guess it should be at least one week with USM enabled, this could be an interesting test btw !

Yep man, you're completely right!
But it's enough disabling "auto-retrieve MMS option" (that is in every reliable messaging app, like Google's Messenger) to make stragefright bug completely harmless
As regards USM... well, if it actually extends battery life to one week, maybe I have to revalue the update. Has anyone tested it? I guess there's no porting on KK because it relies on "Ultra power safe mode" introduced with LP, am I right?

Hard to say... I don't see nothing really better.
Maybe i like layouts and some aspect of lp more then in kk, but for others is exactly the opposite.
The system seems faster, but it's still hard to say because i was on the same rom since One year and now i've a total wipe. Battery life is worst, but not too much. USM is fantastic, but I use it only if i have low battery without the possibility of charging for long time, because you can use only few functions with it.
Maybe i'd do the update again if i could come back (surely with root), but without any strong reason.

why do you think getting unlock will screw your drm keys?i have a file to flash,a fake drm and my kernel has drm include

2) Reboot into TWRP
3) Backup everything(tick EVERYTHING). Keep it in a safe place (you might need to restore your basebands later if you run into a problem).

6) You will enter the Chinese part;

Some battery draining during idle, probably it's a Nougat issue, still no M features as in MM, this is due to kernel cannot be fully rooted, so my advice is getting back to 1.9.5 and wait for further upgrades and full root.

i dont know anymore?,i wanna change my phone to a cheap phone because that really has a bad battery and heat is really annoying! and i dont have money to buy a sony phone so i wanna buy a xiaomi redmi note 4 with helio x20 chip,i suggest you not to wait for a good nought because sony is not caring about z3+

Best probably is to use an aggressive thermal mod which keeps the device at 40-45°C max,
since that's the optimal temperature range for the battery, too
Lots of early throttling or only enabling 6 instead of 8 cores - similar to Snapdragon 808,
also underclocking the GPU helps A LOT (battery + temperature)

I can't write into system yet on nougat, that's why I went back to MM, flashed M-ROM 1.9.5 installed latest zach's kernel for 5.11, disabled Input boost and touch boost with kernel auditor, also flashed Govtuner zip. And smart temperature also, and I'm having good results regarding battery and heat as well.

This is nice, but not really my thing when everything doesn't really work correctly. I've got to get into all the apps to start whenever restarting the phone. Something really annoys me like I use drupe or appsii apps , they're supposed to be shown on the screen, but they just appear for a few seconds and disappear, and just appear back when I get into the apps again
Updated: sorry I didn't know there has been an app called "brevent", preventing apps from running in background. Just have calling problems.

Does anyone know where I can find the list of features for this Rom? Been trying to Google more information on the ROM but nothing is coming back ?

It's a stock Android N mod with root and google services. Nothing special

You're right. Call has bug. The other side could not hear you sometimes. But I have a solution. Put it on audio output mode.
