Reading the posts from phone arena it could just be the GS2 Advanced as well maybe?

Yeah I just don't like (personal opinion) Quall and have not for awhile. That and benchmarks don't really show much for everyday use of a phone. Sure the One X looks good but honestly the G2's been great everyday regardless of other speeds in phones.

No, I see that. I just don't understand why you would want to be loyal to a manufacturer. You gain ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from that.

Nothing to do with being loyal at all. Every phone I've had till the GS2 was HTC (that I personally owned) But I've used other phones on loan for a few days and just never liked them. I have a unique case where I goto school at a Tech college most of the guys I hang around are phone junkies so we all get to mess with each others phones for days on end. The GS2 was my first Samsung in years and I've been happy with it if the GS3 is worth it right now even with the few issues I'd most likely still get it (if it's worth it)
Looks pretty nice but I happy with my epic touch for now. Especially on my $25 a month virgin mobile plan

Just search around there are plenty of threads on how to port the epic touch and other phones to virgin mobile and boost mobile. Process is pretty easy but you need a "donor" phone thats already activated on either of those networks. Also virgin mobile sadly doesnt offer the $25 plans any more. They bumped the price up to $35, but still a good deal. I got lucky to hop on the $25 plan and grand father it over.
Nice KIRF.
Definitely not for Sprint, and 99% sure it is fake. Lmao

I highly doubt that is it, but I really hope Sammy doesn't go that route and get rid of the capacitive buttons on the GSIII. The persistant on screen buttons are the WORST design decision Google has made with Android and I refuse to buy an Android phone without capacitive buttons. That was literally the primary reason why I didn't like my Gnex. I've got my eye on the HTC One X with that badass S4 Krait in it (smokes the Tegra3, I don't know why people are acting like it's a downgrade), and if the GSIII has no capacitive buttons, then my decision is going to be that much easier.

Ah.

HTC's announcement for their newest phone is today (in a couple minutes, really). A video was posted as a preview, which you can watch here, but it isn't in English. It's a pretty good looking phone with some decent specs but overall I think HTC just makes some weird decisions. Calling this device the HTC One after they've already released HTC One X/S/V etc. Seems backwards to me.
Anybody possibly going to be moving to this phone after the Inc 2, or for those of you on newer phones like the DNA/Inc 4g will you be jumping ship this early? My upgrade is in July so I'll probably give it a shot but ultimately I think I will end up with the Galaxy S IV (a sure-fire for development down the road, and for straight spec-power) or potentially the rumored Motorola X.
Specs Quick Reference:
4.7" Full HD screen
Snapdragon 600 processor (Quad-Core)
2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage
2,300 mAh battery
4.1.2 Jelly Bean
My next phone will haveto have on screen keys. I was thinking the HTC One but now I'm just hoping the X-phone is real. I fear it'll probably have an amoled display though(not really a fan). I could get past it if everything else was in order.
Hi guys, I just found the HTC One section on xda

buy the nexus 4 instead, gnex is still good but its getting old, 4.3 could be its last update
For me it's just fine. It runs quite smoothly (much better on 4.1.2 though) and it's display is good (although, they seem to vary). If you're upgrading from a budget phone or an old single core snapdragon or something you'll be happy. If you expect it to run with the latest and greatest, though, you won't be happy.

Google is pushing to make Android less resource-intensive so that it can push some low cost handsets into developing regions. This involves much more than a smaller memory footprint. Expect an ultra-low cost Nexus handset on the horizon, along with the usual higher-end Nexus models.
It plays right into the hot air balloon project.
Apples sees it coming too, with their planned iPhone lite.
I'd recommend you look elsewhere really. The gnex isn't a bad phone, its just that for a similar price you can get a better experience.
A nexus 4 would be better if bought out right. The gnex has pretty poor battery life and the camera is fuzzy
On top of that, its almost 2 years old. Google will drop this device first out of the nexus line due to the specs alone (whenever that may be).

In my opinion multitasking is good. Battery life with stock battery is quite bad. But that's of course different to how you use your phone.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Battery life is one thing that I have trouble with on this phone. There are ROM and kernel combos that can improve it for sure. Usually with light to moderate use I cam get through a day, but I just carry a spare battery around usually just in case. Multitasking usually works fine, but every now and again if I have some memory intensive things going like games it can slow down the multitasking some. In my opinion if it is cheap enough this phone is great. I still feel it is one of if not the best looking phones still out. The buttonless smooth look just works. I have had mine a year and I got it instead of waiting for the GS3 so I could keep unlimited data and I have not regretted it at all.

Multitasking is fine. Works really well on 4.1.2.
Battery life greatly depends on GSM or CDMA. If GSM, with moderate usage it will last you the full day. I used mine lightly yesterday and I didn't bother charging it last night. Sitting at 68% left.
If it's LTE CDMA probably a good idea to get a spare battery..
