The specifications for the SGSIII are of course subject to change, but are Samsung-developed 2.0GHz quad-core CPU (no codename given), 1.5gb RAM, 32gb internal memory (with sd card slot), and a 4.65 inch screen. A new display called Super AMOLED III is being developed specifically for the phone (SGS had Super AMOLED, SGS II had Super AMOLED Plus, SGS III has Super AMOLED III) with 1280x1024 resolution, giving the phone a ppi of 352, which they emphasized that a 352ppi will make it the highest ppi mobile phone

I agree. I think they ned to just work on perfecting their current screens and density, and making the software and hardware work better together making battery life even better. Maybe release the phone already rooted. Lol Maybe have separate roms made they could even sell them.

i'm having buyers remorse with word about the Nexus Prime supposedly to hit next month.
i guess i should be saying i **HAD** since it'll probably launch on Verizon and take 1/2 year to a year to make it to sprint like it did for the nexus s, but i'm in love with ET4G. striving for the best phone out there is moronic unless you have nothing better to do in your life

There will always be buyers remorse in the smart phone market given that there are new releases every couple of months. Only way to avoid it is to get a phone that does everything you need it to do and will continue to do so until your next upgrade and realize that you don't need a phone with quadcore SOC. Not yet, anyway.

Until phones reach the same levels computers are today the development of phones will increase by a lot. It's kind of good and bad at the same time. The good part is that it pushes development to turning phones into portable computers and adds that competition between producers, making phones stronger and cheaper, but the bad part is that it causes phones to come out every few months.

No buyers remorse here this things like a sexy hamburger. Now when it come out my mind may change.

I don't think I will but only because of the size. I have small hands and the E4GT is at the top of my comfort level already but the Note is a sweet looking device so I will give it a look if it does come to Sprint. I think the rumored Sprint name is the Galaxy Journal?

Yeah its supposedly called the journal but nothing official. I would.just love the size of the screen. It would be a no-brainer for me. Even this epic touch is a little small for my hands.

Again nothing official but this add for a Sprint feature shows an unbranded Galaxy Note. Maybe there is something to the rumors that Sprint will get it. I believe kc_exactly said as much in another thread.

I believe kc said he had a note a gnex a evo lte and something else. I would drop this phone in a heartbeat for the note/journal. I already struggle trying to type in portrait on this phone.
I always keep my phone on my hip so a case would not be needed by me, but I do understand the concern.

I really would like to get one but I'm having second thoughts about paying full price for a bigger screen. I should, but doubt I will knowing my impulsiveness, wait to see if there's any problems initially like there was with this phone when it first comes out. I will also wonder what kind of specs the g3 well have and when it will be here for us. Those are the two I'm watching. Also, if the note still has a dual core snapdragon when it comes out for us, I might pass. Two steps forward with the hardware then one back with the CPU.

Id buy one first day.

Very true statement. If it domes with an S4pro with the new adreno gpu that thing will be a monster. I know that Samsung will eventually integrate lte in their processors but when is the question.

Yes. Give me one with LTE and any exynos processor and I would be totally satisfied and have no need for anything else for the rest of that contract at least!

With how big the battery is, couldn't they just put an lte radio in there and have a toggle to turn it off and on like wimax? Then it would still be our responsibility to watch the battery. I could totally go for something like that as long as they kept the exynos. But do not count out the S4pro it has the upgraded gpu also with lte built on the die.

If it came with ICS out of the box, and LTE support. Would definitely pick it up.

Because I too will be paying full price (unless I come up with a way to sweet talk an early upgrade out of someone) and since I'm not even 100% sold on getting the phone, I'm definitely going to wait awhile and see how it performs. Also the extra wait time will allow a chance for the SG3 to possibly make an appearance, that's the phone I really want.
But I'm a major gadget whore so there's no guarantee what I will or won't buy regardless the cost. lol

I don't know...I like the Note, but I would need a few things in order to lock myself in for 2 more years for it. First, LTE capability. ICS would be good, but not necessary at launch for me.
It would need an upgraded processor though. With the Evo LTE coming out and the SGS III likely to be announced sometime soon, I don't want to get stuck with a last gen processor for 2 years.
Honestly, I probably won't make a decision on my next phone until I see what Sammy has up their sleeve.

Hell yea , phatman likes phat phones. Im sure the dual core 1.5 will be plenty fast to handle anything. I already get zero lag on this phone.

Im camping outside.

Amazon has 5000ma extended life batteries by hyperion AND there's a tpu case for the extended battery too.

As far as a phone the SG2 is the biggest i'll go, and I already have a Galaxy Tab 10.1, but if I had neither of these then maybe. After a fondling session at the dealers first....

I can't wait. Been holding out to get a new phone since November. Still got my vibrant...bought the gs2 but was not impressed. It was a vibrant with working GPS and a bigger screen. This is perfect 4.8 hd, big battery, microsd and capacitive buttons that won't turn the 4.8 into a 4.3".

Sense 4 can always be ported....

T-Mobile isn't doing pre-orders on the S3. Its a release day only purchase. I'll be going back to Sammy from my short stint with the ONe S. Why don't you just sell your one S so you can get the S3. And ask your mom for the rest. :what:

Ah.
I'll pick it up on release date or earlier from T-Mobile store most likely.
I bought my One S for full price $599 I don't want to sell it for $350 and put another $250 for the S3.

Love this phone

I have owned literally EVERY high end android device that has been available in the US. Even some that haven't for that matter. But this is by far the best device i've ever owned. It excels in every area. The display is phenomenal, the specs are top notch, and the real world use is where it should be considering the power this thing flaunts. As far as smoothness and fluidity go it's in a league of its own. I've had the note 2, i've had the one x+, I've had the dna, and they cant even hold a candle to this device. All we need now is for some of the awesome devs we have to pump out some JB ROM's and we're golden. The dev support is there though. With all those things considered, I'm going as far as to say this is the best phone ever made IMHO. Thoughts anyone?

At my school they know my word is golden- I have the best phone available, and nobody else has it. I love being a tech geek. But really, If youre not on sprint or verizon you should just get a nexus 4. Its almost the same thing, but better software side. Also, not many people like LG so not as many users (or devs) as we would like. JB is on its way though. I tried a few methods along with other devs, and well get eventually.

Before I made up my mind on this phone I did a little research..I read so many articles downing this phone..the UI seemed cartoonish..unable to access the battery..no microSD slot..how it had great specs "but"

I agree, this phone is truly amazing and I'm certain with its international releases it won't take long for the word to spread

Ya last time at best buy i had this guy run quadrant, on his s3, than I ran quadrant..... I sure u know how that went...

The problem is that there is a new wave of quad core phones that r about to hit the market n over power our bad boys so this absolutely amazing phone will sadly never be acknowledged

Don't agree. Once we had 2 gig's of RAM and 1.5ghz quad core in a phone they pretty much locked future proof in the bag.

Severely doubt that rumor. Samsung is Android's Apple. They will bump as minimally as possible to sell the next model. Quad core, 2gb ram, 16gb storage. Book it.
This phone is the best on the market outside of the Nexus 4. If we can get past this bootimg bull**** from Sprint and LG we'll have a really fun phone. HTC Evo had a very slow takeoff as well, and before you knew it there were too many roms. We're almost there and I love it.

Best phone ive ever had by by far! Love everything about it! Glad i didnt get the note 2. The pro is going to be pimp to.

I can honestly say this is he best I've had so far. At first I was considering the iPhone 5, but too many people at my job had it. Did a lot of research on this phone and saw a lot of people bashing it before it even came out. When the phone was released I went to sprint to get a feel for he phone and they didn't even have it on display! No love was given to this phone at first. I took the leap and bought it at bestbuy anyway. Best decision I made as far as picking a phone. My brother got the gs3 and when I showed him my phone he liked the lgog more. Not to mention his phone is always on the charger as opposed to mine lol. Glad this phone is getting some love tho.

At my school (I'm a teenager) everyone has either iPhones or Galaxy or an older android. No one honestly has the Optimus G, as far as I can see.
And everyone is like "I LOVE YOUR PHONE!!!" I am very happy I got this phone.
At first I didn't want it with rumors being LG wasn't the greatest and....no removable backing. But I bought it and it was the best decision ever.
Only thing that would make it better is if the JB update came to my area already

What is a Sprint S3 worth these days?

I hope this question isn't too annoying or vague, but I'm considering a trade offer from Craigslist and I want to know if it is "worth it" or not. The offer is an iPhone 4S (I know, not Android, but I'm curious..) for a trade with my S3 - no extra cash either way. I'd prefer an iPhone 5 due to the larger screen but is that too high of a "request" when trading off my S3? I'd just hate to wait for replies for an iPhone 5 trade if the two devices are not even comparable enough to trade from the beginning.

Ok ok lol. I still have an Android tablet and will be back as soon as KLP is out just getting bored. And it would have been funnier if you put "trader" instead... ok bad pun.

The S3 depreciates in value quicker than an iPhone does. But I do think he should be offering you cash + the 4s for your s3.
My friend has an EVO LTE and he got an iPhone 4S + $125 offer the other day. I'd avoid that trade if I were you.

Lol whatever as far as your question goes I would assume the s3 is worth more and I would be asking for money considering the s3 is the superior phone

It'd be a nearly equal trade, possibly a little more expensive for a used iPhone 5 over an S3. But I haven't done much off contract trading so I'm not necessarily the best one to ask.

Honestly I would do straight up trade for an i5 maybe throw in a few bucks if any but of course this is based on opinion.

If your getting bored with your s3, I'm not sure how an iphone will cure that aside from apps, iphones are designed to be boring. Prolly just me tho lol....

Exactly. Say it ain't so! iOS is the most locked down, boring, unchangeable thing you could image being on a phone. Flash a ROM or something. And I would only except a 5 no 4s. :thumbdown:
