For those of you who are excited an about 4.2 simply because of the Redone Camera UI, or just want to have have some leaked 4.2 on your phone a couple of days before the actual thing is released.
Here is the download for the NEW camera.
YOU MUST BE ROOTED!!! NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK IT SOMEHOW!!!
Android v4.2 AOSP Camera:
http://db.tt/Vla2qFhu
You will be able to keep the 4.1.2 camera so don't worry about it if you want it still for some reason.
For those of you who don't know(living under a rock eh), here are some new exciting feature and changes:
1. Full screen camera and video, no more gray boarders. Completely redone UI.
2. No nobs and settings in view, just hold the screen and they all be available in a circle dragging view.
3. Pinch to ZOOM in and out.
4. New Photo editor UI(duh)
a. An original/new drag bar(you'll see
what I mean
b. New slide out edit history
c. New Ratio cropping(I think that's new)
d. Etc.
5. PHOTO SPHERE!!!
6. New Gallery UI(similar to 4.1.2)
7. Few unlisted but you'll find em
I take no credit for making this file. Originally found on AndroidPolice. This file is for the people who would like to use it and still have no knowledge of this download. So dont get all mad. This will be useful for a few days, yes I know. Not sure if it will work on Touchwiz, Sense, Moto, or anything else. Confirmed working on 4.1.2 AOSP.

That other thread doesn't actually say anything about it being from AOSP so this might actually be a different version of the app
EDIT: Actually, it might be the same

Camera seems to work fine, gallery app is FCing all the time...though it does actually sync with Picasa album, vs the old one which doesn't for some reason(AOKP Build 5, newest Gapps)

OK so here's my crazy question.
I want to combine the ICS and the JB Boot animation.
Does anyone know how I can go about doing this???
Because I like both on my Galaxy Nexus and I know how I can make it look. Just need the tools to put em together.
I have the HD Version of both.

if you got photoshop youll be able to blend the jellybean image on top of the ICS one. the files inside the bootanimation.zip are just png frames

Ok.
But would I be able to add extra effects??? Cuz I don't want the ICS animation behind the JB X.
I want the the x remain black and make the ics animation surround the JB X in faded looking circle around the rim.
Do u know what I mean by that??? Really hope so.

Editing each frame in Photoshop would be a nightmare . Yes the effect you want is possible. I just don't think anyone could or would put in the man hours. My suggestion, use adobe flash or adobe after effects and create the animation and save it as JPEG so it renders the frames as pictures and then compile...

Hey Everybody!
I just got my OTA Jellybean update, and I'm overjoyed. It really does feel buttery smooth. The only disappointment so far is that I have lost my favourite Live Wallpaper.
Does anyone have the APK of the Microbes Live Wallpaper, or know how I can extract it from the ICS image to inject it into Jellybean?
I'm running the GSM Galaxy Nexus, Jellybean (!!!!), with Stock everything, no root.
Any leads or tips or advice will be greatly appreciated!
I've got a stock 4.1.1 phone too. All the live wallpapers your phone came with should still be there.
Yes I miss this wallpaper too! They removed it on jelly bean. I wish some nice person would post the apk to it.

They're not. I used the Microbes live wallpaper, but after installing the OTA for Jellybean and rebooting, it was gone. I'm just looking for the APK from 4.0.4. if anyone has it. Or at least tips on how to extract it from the 4.0.4 ROM.

There's also a lib that goes in /system/lib. I'll attach it to this post. Just remove the .txt file extension.
That's weird. I use Microbes too, and after my update it's still here. Wonder what happened to yours
Yeah, mine also disappeared. I was wanting to use it after experiencing Project Butter... But alas.
Does it run any better?
Just out of Curiosity, does anyone have the Nexus live wallpaper too? I'd love to try that one out on my Nexus 7.
The Nexus 7 is severely lacking in live wallpapers.

I didn't have to add the lib file. I just downloaded the APK to my Galaxy Nexus & Nexus 7 and installed them. They work great.
The microbes look a bit fuzzy on the Nexus7, but its OK.
Just installed the apk on a Sensation running CM9, works great too (without the lib). Thanks!

Anyone else get lag with this wallpaper on JB? Scrolling is not smooth. (and I have the wallpaper set as non-scrolling for best performance)
Is the lib optional?

Hi, is the lib optional? I installed the apk and it works on my galaxy nexus (althought the microbes wallpaper slows down the homescreen and makes it a bit laggy). Would adding the lib make it work smoother or is it laggy because the apk wasn't integrated in the jellybean update at first? Also, if it does make it work better, how can I then add the lib? Sorry, I'm kind of a noob, I tried to download it on my phone but it opened as a .txt file in my browser. Should I download it on my pc and remove the .txt extension before moving it to my phone? Sorry, lots of questions, thank you for your help.
Thank you!

if there was, then switching between tabs in chrome wouldn't work would it.
Most phones stock, and almost all roms, you hold home and it will pop up recently used apps, at least since froyo. In ICS it works even better.. but besides that, no, there's no way.

They DID make a multitasking animation for the GNex with WebOS, WP7, & Sense 4.
So this animation is very possible. I recommend you go to AOKP or CM and email/PM your idea.
If they like it & are willing to do it, Donate to them. That'll truly show your thanks and possibly make them happily do another one of your ideas down the road.

I was wondering if there is a way to get back the ICS style default app picker when running a Jelly Bean based rom?
I mean the thing that comes up when you have more than one possible app to complete an action... I find it annoying that you now have to tap twice to select an app instead of just once as before in ICS.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Oh wait you um u should change your title to Default app picker.
I thought it was something else. And sorry, you can't change that. Google did that because they want a more confirmed way of doing this.

The problem when you choose a single picture and you resize it to be bigger, the image doesnt increase its size, so you cant create the homescreen at your like.

Just find a picture widget that is highly resizable and that makes the picture shown looks beautiful, not streched and distorted like others widgets do.
But thanks, I completely forgot about DV, it may help me
