Wiped my SD card - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was rooting my Fire again (been rooted a while back). I got TWRP installed and was going to install Jelly Bean. Doing the wipe and accidentally wiped the SD card. So my backup of 6.3.1 is gone and my kindle has no ROM. I can boot into TWRP, but the kindle won't connect via USB to my computer. I just need to load a ROM on there and I'll be good.
Anyone have any ideas how to load a ROM on via USB? Is there some way to trick it? I can see the kindle as the G:\ drive, but it's grayed out and says to "insert disk".
Help! Please!
Brian

So...you're unable to mount your sdcard while in TWRP...using the "Mount" function?

I have no TWRP now. I deleted that too. It just boots up to the yellow triangle with the flame in the middle.

You did not delete TWRP while in TWRP...only the TWRP folder that sits on your sdcard. Do you know how to access TWRP using the power button at startup?

Yes, I tried to root it again using the method on rootkindlefire. It just hung up. I was thinking it would reinstall everything.
Now my PC doesn't even recognize the fire. The LED under the power button just stays green, pressing it doesn't allow it into TWRP at all.
I think I really screwed this thing up

Okay. Hold the power button until the device shuts off.
Then, press the power button to power it on again and press and hold until the light turns orange and release.
Does that give you access to TWRP or does the light never turn orange and the device shuts down?

Stays green and just shuts down.

I have wiped my sdcard multiple different times multiple different ways and have never had any issues with accessing TWRP. Get a factory cable force it into fastboot and re-Install TWRP that`s probably your best bet.

Thanks for all the help! I used your soup program for Linux and was able to reload TWRP on my fire. In fact, I'm typing this on it now. Thanks for all your help!

[Q] Is the yellow triangle a stock screen?

Is the yellow triangle ('press power for recovery options') a stock KF screen, or is the something that's been added by the KFU? Amazon said they would send a replacement, but I'm wondering if I'll have issues if they see it's been rooted...
Update 6.3.1 has left me on this screen, and as of yet I have not been able to get around it. The computer will only recognize it for about 5 seconds when it is plugged in, but then the LED on the KF goes Orange and it disconnects.
I'm looking at getting the factory cable.
Unfortunantly when I ran the KFU I did not install any other recovery options other than rooting the device. (Crossing over from the jailbreaking on the iPhones, you could get the device is recovery without any big deal and I assumed it was the same with the KF...oops)
Turn your Kindle off.
Turn your Kindle on.
As soon as you see the yellow triangle, hold the power button until it turns orange. This will boot your device into recovery.
While in recovery, look for an option to mount your sdcard.
When it is mounted, it will show up on your computer as an external drive.
From your computer, transfer the "Flash.zip" from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25598837 ...to your sdcard.
Then use recovery to flash "Flash.zip" and reboot.
When it reboots, hold the power button until it turns orange again and use the selections at the bottom to change your bootmode. To scroll through the selections hold the power button for a second and release. When you have the right option selected, leave it alone for a few moments and it will select automatically. You may need to reboot.

This is not the stock boot loader screen, it is an older version of FireFireFire.

I've done this...
But there's no response from the KF, the screen doesn't change. The LED does go Orange, but it would anyway - even without pressing the button.
The computer is unable to recognize it at this point.
As of now it seems only to turn on whenever the USB cable is plugged in, I'm guessing the battery is dead.
Any more suggestions? I'm leary of sending it back in with modded software, I imagine they're smart enough to check that...
Ah, so you don't even have recovery installed. I guess I should have seen that in the OP...I'm such a noob <hangs head in shame>
OK the first thing you need to do is educate yourself a little bit about the Kindle Fire, the different bootmodes, and the difference between adb and fastboot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23747567
Then you need make sure your drivers are in good working order:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23747671&postcount=2
When you have a good foundation to work from, we'll get recovery installed and continue to fix any other problems you need help with.

[Q] KF brick, does not turn on

kf dont determined by the computer, i use kfu for recovery its did not help, stunk on triangle logo, and wount boot twrp. then i used short trick, and its boot to triangle logo, and turn off, when i turn on kf its don't respond, any idea? for short trick used ubuntu, windows sees omap4430 and cycling driver restarts.
need help to recover it.... think need used soupkit....
Hold the power button down at the triangle this should take you to recovery. Although omap4430 indicates something is still very wrong with the device. When you perform the short trick you must keep it shorted till the script runs through 4 stages my guess is you have made it part of the way but not all the way.

yes, i do this, but its not help with flash kf..
Unfortunately the following methods do not work, comes to loading TWRP and freezes....I do not understand what I'm doing wrong...maybe try soupkit?
any ideas how to make flash twrp?
I install driver from Omap Flash Installer and its recognize without warning triangle in windows, but its always cyclically recognized, on/off....on/off... and so on. it did not help to flash KF.

[Q] HTC Desire HD Bricked bootloader not loading and cannot connect to pc need help

Good day!
After searching everywhere in the web and using different methods, I decided to create an account and ask you guys how to solve my problem
Basically, I have a HTC Desire HD phone, this is unlocked, rooted and using cm-Jellytime_42_R11 ROM. I decided to change ROM and go back to Android Revolution. What I did first was I deleted a couple of folders in my clockwork folder, I deleted both backup to free space. Afterwards, I was trying to connect my phone to my laptop but to no avail (it only charged) then I decided to just boot into recovery. After a couple of tries trying to access and going to bootloader/recovery mode it just wont push through. So I decided to normal boot, then the phone won't boot anymore. It just hanged in the Jellytime loading screen.
Note: I removed the battery a couple of too many times since I was trying to boot into recovery.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this problem
I didn't understand very well.
Can you now go to Hboot screen volume (-) + power button?
And where you get now stucked when you just power on phone?

What does it do when you try to go to hboot? Is it detected in fastboot? Is it detected in adb when you try to boot normally?

WHen it getts stuck in the roms boot animation, connect usb to the phone and try
Code:
adb devices
Most devices show up via adb during the boot animation.
If the device shows up there, enter
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
then go here and download 4ext recovery.
extract the .img file from the zip. Rename it to recovery.img and place it in your adb directory and enter this whiles in fastboot
Code:
fastboot devices
to make sure your device shows up
then
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after it has successfully flashed reboot to recovery ad try and flash the rom u want.
hope i helped. Click on the thanks buttton.
You can ask if you still have problems.

I dont know if this is going to work with CWM but it works on TWRP and 4ext.
Remove the battery and re-insert it.
Now connect the usb to the device.
Dont press the power button.(leave it off)
After the the charging light comes on, the device should be discoverable by adb.
Now try
Code:
adb devices
It should be detected by adb.

Ok, so basically, the problem why i can't do the power button + vol (-) is that my volume buttons are broken. (sad) Second, the reason why my computer wasn't detecting my phone is that my phone's charging slot is dirty and I had to clean it with a needle to remove the dust, at the same time, the cable I was using was broken. When I was able to clean the slot and change cables, I then followed the steps by mickeyasamoah (thanks bro) with the adb procedures. Although it failed when it was in the flash recovery line (dunno why), I just proceeded into flashing a new ROM and voila, it worked.

You need a Windows PC, I suggest getting minimal ADB from this XDA post.

Need help using CWM to recover data

So my screen blacked out and I would like to attempt and retrieve the information off of my phone. I have an idea to use the CWM I have installed on my phone and from there mount it. But since I cannot see the screen, I was hoping somebody could tell me the number of presses of each button so I can mount it. Thanks!

not sure if cwm will help, but twrp 3 will definitely help, i want you to boot into download mode and flash twrp 3 using Odin, and then boot into recovery.
TWRP 3 has MTP enabled by default, so when you're in TWRP and connected your phone to PC, you will see your phone on PC and will be able to copy anything you want.
also you can use adb pull commands but it requires usb debugging on in your rom.

yes, you will do it blindly, but it's not hard.
you press power + home + volume down for 3 seconds, then press volume up, and connect your phone to PC, then flash the TWRP 3 using Odin, after the flash is done, remove battery, and insert again, then hold the power + home + volume up for 4 seconds, the release the power and keep holding the other 3 buttons for another 3 seconds then release, by now it should be in recovery mode, now connect to PC and you should see your phone and all its content.

good question.
he can't do it in two cases:
1- if he is using android 6.0+
2- if he is using a password, PIN or a pattern in his lock screen.
i believe he should have tried your suggestion already, it would be a shame if he didn't because it's an Obvious thing.
however, i should have mentioned that as well...
