Twrp/cwm not reading internal memory. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anyone else having this issue? when I reboot into recovery it reads the external sd fine but when I toggle the internal button I get nothing... I flashed it from the toolkit via odin after I was already rooted through the toolkit. Problem persists on multiple roms stock, and xquisit thus far. And cwm, as well as twrp recoveries.

I've been able to use external SD storage with CWM for making and restoring nandroids as well as flashing .zip files. Just choose "Flash zip from external SD" or "Backup/Restore from external SD" in the appropriate menu.

Yeah me too, lol. I was just wondering if it was a known issue or if I screwed the pooch doing something wrong on installation.

boot loop

My epic 4g touch is doing bootloop in the 4g screen. Need help. any ideals how to recover this. I tried flashing rom but clockwork sees no files in external sd card. Plus, how do you transfter files to your internal sdcard in clockwork?Any help is appreciated. Thanks
When I had to recover from a bootloop I actually had to remove my sdcard, put the phone in download mode and reflash it. Flashing with a .tar on your SD card has caused many problems for me =/
As a rule, here is my emergency ROM evacuation plan:
1) Can I get to recovery? If so, I will simply wipe everything (factoryh reset) then reflash fresh.
2) If not, then just boot to download mode (power+volDown) and Odin over a clean kernel (most bootloop issues are going to be from a kernel issue)
3) If all that doesn't work, then flash a stock rom from scratch using Odin
It sounds like 1 is not an option to you. I don't think you can copy from sd to internal without mounting them on a pc and doing the copy on that side.
In any event, you are gonna need a PC.
HTH
You can put files on your SD card by enabling SD mount somewhere within cwm. However I would listen to that guy^
That is probably the best way to "abort" a ROM

Oh and I wanted to ask: what ROM did you install because SD mounting doesn't work with any of the AOSP ICS ROMs...

With ICS, I haven't been able to mount anything but internal storage... But I have been rooting since I got my first Intercept on day 1. I'm a danger seeker

[Q] Can't restore because of sd card not mounted?

My phone was rooted and I did a backup before flashing it to a starburst v1.7 rom. I did everything correct and now my phone just keeps doing a soft reboot every 10 seconds no matter what.
When I tried to restore it from the CWM recovery screen it says "error sd card not mounted", so therefore I can't even restore. I've done the rooting and flashing soo many times on my other android phone right before I switched to Sprint.
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks
Ddownload a .tar file and flash stick rom and kernal and try again?
Did u access cwm manually? Try to use rom manager off the market see what happen. Internal sd or external sd u talking about? When u access to cwm mount and storage check there too.

Hello,
I had this same problem, just go back to stock using Odin & you will be good to go. You can also trying updating to the latest clockword- that has worked for me before as well.
There were some rushed CWM builds released. You may want to try a newer release

Ok, this is what you do.
In cmw, there is an option to mount the phone to a computer, i cant recall where it is in this version. After selecting it, connect your phone to your computer, and move your backup from ur sd card to the phones internal memory, and then restore it from internal memory.

[Q] CWM Recovery not working

Hello all,
I have been trying to resolve this issue since I rooted and installed CWM on my Epic 4g Touch. I've searched through all the other threads but see to have a copletely new issue with recovery. When I try backing up my existing rom, the back up gives me this error message "Error while backing up boot image/tmp/recovery.log was copied to /sdcard/clockworkmod/recovery.log Please open rom manager to report the issue"
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help.
Don't use ROM manager.
Install CWM using the Auto Root sticky.

I would just uninstall. There are simple equivalents for what you need done that have been tested extensively with this phone.
Still won't let me backup
I did the CWM through autoroot, now when in recovery mode and trying to perform a backup I get "Error backing up boot image! (Free space: 0mb)"
I reinstalled the Rogue Recovery from autoroot and tried again, but recieved the same error message...
Any idea what's going on here?

Go into mounts and storage and unmount the sd and it will use the internal...you may have to do this every time...is your external broken or full ?

twrp back to cwmr please help

Need some help guys. I wanted to try out TWRP and was currently using CWMR 5.5.0.4 so I flashed and everything went fine. Didn't really like it so I odin back to CWMR. Now in CWMR it won't see anything on my ext sd card. All my files and my CWMR backups are there and usually when I go to restore I would have the option to restore from sd card or internal sd card. Now I only have the option to see my internal sd card. How can I get my CWMR to see my ext sd card again? Also I was looking for a newer version of CWMR but could only find the odin version of 5.5.0.4. Thanks again guys for any help.
A lot of the first cwm recoveries don't support external sd. Upgrade to at least 5.8.4.5.

Problem fixed thank you. But where is the newer CWMR? I can't find any good links anywhere. Even google.
www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
What didn't you like about twrp?
It does the same thing but is touch screen.
I love how I can just flash without manually going into download mode too. Goo manager does it all automatically for you through twrp

SD apps disappear and some fail to reinstall

All the apps i used the stock "move to sd card" on seem to not be working. They are absent form the app drawer and while some allow me to reinstall others do not and none will allow to be moved to the sd card. I have tried booting into a nandroid backup and factory resetting data with AGAT recovery. The only things i've done to my phone are rooting and custom recovery. I've searched the forums and nothing has been too helpful or recent. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Flash back to the stock kernel. Unfortunately all the recent repack kernels have trouble with apps that install themselves to the SD card.
All I use is the stock FL16, or mobile Odin EL26 CWM to temporarily flash something.
