he tried Creeds ROM 3.0 3.1 and chobits...
I never heard someone have these kind of problem. this is my last advice, flash the newest rom for your region. enter recovery mode, flash cwm, wipe /data, install the rom, reboot.
there could be something wrong with the rom zip file. the file might be corrupted or something. you can try to install another rom. be carefull with chobits. you need to install v1 before install the other version since the newer version contain only an update for v1. you'll ended in bootloop if you install the newer version directly on a stock rom.

Confused about Stock ROM versions and installation process

Just to be clear, I HAVE read fully the thread by dr ketan regarding stock rom installation, but it still leaves me with a bunch of questions:
So I have rooted my N7100, and I don't know if I have an update that I can install for my current stock ROM.
When I go into settings>about>system upgrade...it just keeps spinning but nothing happens when I check for updates.
But I am ultra confused about upgrading manually.
1) How do I tell what region my phone is?
2) Can I install a different region's stock rom on my phone via Odin? Does that mean I have to wipe everything?
3) If I can find my region's stock ROM that is a newer version than mine, can I just flash it via Odin and not wipe anything?

1.Dial *#1234# input result here (OR simply select ROM for area you are living to update)
2.You can flash any country ROM, flashing stock ROM doesn't wipe anything, though always advisable to have backup, if anything goes wrong in case.
3.Yes flash with odin, wiping - read above

No I know it doesn't wipe anything, but I'm asking, do I NEED to do a factory reset or anything to make sure it runs stable? When I used to install custom ROMs and whatnot on my phones, I had to always wipe data and cache to make sure it ran properly.

It is not must but I do recommend for best performance.
Search my thread for UBD word in both tab of listing (pda and csc), you have installed one of that rom at presently.
As your ap and csc both have UBD code.

Hi Dr.Ketan, just a question.
I forgot to write down what stock ROM my note 2 came with when I bought it.
And I already flashed a custom ROM (ARHD19)
Just wondering if there's a way to know my phone's stock ROM?
I could look at my friend's note 2 to know, but yeah, I'm curious.
Update with Kies this way
Kies - tools - firmware upgrade initialization
This will bring device to original state, but it will wipe device so backup imp data before this.

[Q] GS4 Tmobile Stock firmware file

Hi as always I come for the expert advice to you guys. I have recently UPDATED my Galaxy S4 for Tmobile to CyanogenMod. Frankly I love the speed but it is still in beta version and has a few things I did not like. Few glitches. Anyway:
I want to go back to my stock firmware which was Kit Kat 4.2.2.before I installed Cyanogenmod.
I already downloaded Odin V3 09 and am ready to do this but I still do not have the stock firmware file. I looked for it but I really don't want to screw it up.
Can someone be so kind and insert the link to the download ? And if of course possible STEP BY STEP instructions on HOW TO GO BACK ?
I understand my phone now is rooted and will stay rooted after reinstalling Kit Kat. So I still should be able to get rid of all the bloatware correct ?
Any help greatly appreciated and huge THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!
Download firmware here http://www.cheatersedge.org/android/m919/M919UVUFNB4_M919TMBFNB4_TMB_FENNY_FIXED.zip, there is a thread already on instructions on how to flash.. and just because you rooted doesn't mean your device will stay rooted forever. Once you flash the firmware you will be unrooted but you can root again.. Alternatively you can just flash a debloated stock rom in recovery

Finding the stock firmware won't be easy unless you try downloading from sammoble, but you could try Fenny's stock rooted 4.4.2 rom in development.
It's very smooth without the bloatware and it has unlimited tethering.
It works best with Philz recovery.
Just follow the directions and your good to go.
Don't forget to do a factory reset.
Pp.
Sent from my Touchwiz device that never forgets apps.
PIN lock screen does NOT work on Fenny's rom when you first boot/restart/power up the phone. So, if you are turning your phone on the lock screen will just be skipped over.
Pin lock issue could be NG if you need that type of security.

Thank you so much Serio22, I just want to make sure it is the correct one for my Tmobile GS4.
And also would you be so kind and attach the STEP BY STEP instructions for Odin ? I am really afraid of bricking my phone. I need guidance.
People say once you do it few times it becomes easy as pie. But like I wrote above I don't want to mess up my phone.

One last question and I won't bother again:
When it comes to those files " OFFICIAL TAR AND ORIGINAL TAR " do I just choose any one of them ?? I wanted to know the difference between them both. Instructions don't really specify which to choose. Or is it both ?
And also there is a suggestion to " Wipe the data in recovery " after the whole thing how do I do that ? Should I do that ?
Thank you again for your help.

You don't have to worry about that, just use the tar file I posted earlier
Edit: and for the wipe data, you reboot to recovery after you flashed the firmware and do a factory reset.. Yes you should, but not necessary if you don't have any issues..

Alright first things first.... what model do you have???
The kernel is included with civato's Rom so you should not have problems with that.
I don't believe you can flash another kernel yet until dev's have a source that they can work with and create different kernel, so I would NOT flash a JB kernel on a KK Rom.
Did you do a full wipe before you flashed civato's Rom "as stated in the OP"?
What you could try is a factory reset in your recovery or a wipe cache and reboot again this might get you out of the boot loop.
Hoping this helps.

Yeah im goin to Odin back to stock KK...Then redo Civatos Rom...
I followed step by step, I'm familiar with the process, I posted my own thread, not realizing that he was having the issue with civato's Rom as well, because I had no issues with the bootloader, I'm running kitkat stock right now, but following everything weird for word, even going so far as multiple wipes, directly after Odin flash of stock kitkat, put me in the same predicament as the OP. Also worth noting, restoring a nandroid of stock kit Kat after attempting to flash the Rom fixes nothing. The boot loop persists, though data remained after Odin flashing stock again, just had to re root.
