io scheduler stuck on bfq - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I flashed a couple of kernels (franko and air kernel 3.0.46 stable) to see which one suits me and as of recent and the io scheduler seems to stay on BFQ. Anyone knows why this is? I've reflashed the rom and nothing changed.

Idk, because its the default, maybe? Your question isn't clear.

I couldn't change the option. I would try to change to cfq or deadline it wouldn't do anything

Maybe because the kernels dont support cm?
I suppose you're trying to change governors through cm's option in Settings > Performance. How about using another program to change it?
Seems like its a permissions issue though.

[Q] How to identify the CPU scheduler of installed Kernel

I recently installed a new kernel on my phone, but it was one of a number of variants of the same kernel, some with SVS others with HAVS, some with CFS and some with BFS and lastly with and without call recording.
Is there a shell command I can run to find out which CPU scheduler version I installed as I remember it was HAVSand no call recording but I cannot remember if it was CFS or BFS?
many thanks

Guess I'll have to re-flash it and take note of which one I am using then.
Yeah if it doesnt say in about phone or system/lib/modules, I don't think you can tell.

Apparently. My cfs kernel has the option for noop, deadline, bfq or cfq for io. Still doesn't help identify cfs or bfs process scheduler though

Help with CPU settings

Hi,
Yesterday I installed the Ussr v8 rom. I really like it, but i wanted to change my cpu speed, governor and I/O scheduler , so I installed Ussr kernel which would support that. I wanted some more so I also installed the BaCeM tweak. But when I want to change the governor to by example Ondemand, it stucks on the performance governor, except with the hotplug governor and a few others I don't like. Hoe can I fix this and make the other governors work?
Thanks, Jidde!
Ps: I tried it with no frills cpu control and antutu cpu control
Edit:
Sorry, i just discovered i put this in the general forum, It was late when i post this. Can a mod move this to the q&a forum?
Anybody?

Better option is to use better kernels like savie,KUro,white etc.it has all the working governors and they are frequently updated too. Ussr kernel is relativly new in the scene

oke, thanks, i will try!
I have another question, how can i delete a tweak? I installed BaCem 0.2.1 but i want to delete it... Can I just delete the 3 installed files?
That, because I want to install the savie's kernel, or don't I need to remove the bacem tweak for that?

[KERNEL] Nibbles Kernel v0.1.5 *OC & OC/STOCK GPU* (1/7/13)

Nibbles Kernel Is Here!
Thanks to Krazeecracker for letting me take over!
Thanks to Android88 for helping me test my builds into the wee hours of the night
THIS WILL WIPE CURRENT INIT.D SCRIPTS. MAKE SURE YOU BACK THEM UP!
I did not create this Kernel, I just maintain and add features to it. Give total credit to CVD as this is his creation and body of work. He made this possible. ALSO BIG SHOUTS OUT TO THOMAS.RAINES FOR THE BASE KERNEL LZ KERNEL
Features: The Nibbles kernel includes a LOT of new features that cater to all users who want to get the most out of their device. I've included many popular CPU Governors and I/O schedulers to support a wide variety of uses. Additionally, I've made lots of other fundamental changes to the kernel to better balance battery and performance (well beyond what you can do with a handful of scripts) as well as implementing over clocking the CPU to 1.782GHz, Under/Over Volting the CPU at each frequency step and over clocking the GPU.
CPU Governors: intellidemand, pegasusq, gallimaurfy, interactivex, smartassv2, wheatley, interactive, conservative, userspace, ondemand, performance
I/O Schedulers: noop, deadline, cfq, sio, vr, bfq

Hello All,
I can't seem to find the location on this ROM that allows you to change the governor settings... I swear I've looked everywhere!
i dont use that ROM but just FYI, kernel control features may not be built into it. as a matter of fact, a lot of ROMs dont have any built in kernel setting controls. where you using it before and it had it? saw a user running slimbean this morning with ktoonsez kernel. full control

It's the kernel that came with the ROM, 3.4.41-slim-g846750a. I just read of people talking about changing their governors and wanted to give it a try..
i use (and only use) ktoonsez kt747 kernel with any ROM i am on (tasks latest currently). it comes packaged with an app that allows me to select and make governor and scheduler adjustments as well as tweak many other things in order to improve stability and battery life. highly recommend.
You can enable the developers settings by going into settings>about phone>and tap on build number 6 or 7 times and that will unlock the performance options

[Kernel][3.0.101][OC/UV] Blasphemy Kernel v6.6

Hi guys, I've been working on a kernel for fun, so I thought I'd share it. The cm10.1 version is based off cm-10.1 branch of team hydra's source. I'm working on a cm10.2 version based off cyanogenmod's cm-10.2 branch. I can't tell you what rom it'll work with, since I mainly use cm10.1, but I'm fairly sure it'll work without problems on other AOSP roms.
Features:
OC/UV to 1600mhz
650ma charging over usb (Yes, it acutally charges when plugged into a computer while in use now..)
UKSM
Always tracking the latest version of Linux 3.0.y
Optimized SHA routines
Dynamic fsync enabled
mmc tweaks
use gnu version of lib/string and memcopy for better performance
Proportional Rate Reduction for TCP
lzo compressed with updated implementation
zram enabled with snappy compression by google
many other low level tweaks cherry-picked from popular kernels for other devices

Done.
Ok...just tested this for a few minutes. Instantly rebooted after flashing....which I really wan't expecting. Thought maybe I had bricked my phone for a sec since I don't have USB access to my phone BUT nope! Booted right up. Played with the gov's...all worked well. 1600 worked just fine. Had to rebuild my scripts for link2sd for ext4 which I expected. Then the bad news......GPS is totally whacked out. Didn't work at all. I used both of my gps apps and not a single sat was found. Other than that it was great! Had to switch back to stock CM till the GPS is fixed because I'm new to Az and don't know my way around yet. Thanks for the work though!
I'll be checking this out, I'm working on building pure vanilla jellybean 4.2.2 so I'll give this a try once the source finishes syncing and I compile it.

I'll look into the GPS issue when I get off work, because I never use it. As far as the reboot, sorry about that, I'll remove it from the next build.
Next order of business: messing with governors isn't really my thing, but are there any that you guys would really like to have in a kernel? IO schedulers as well?
