I just got my TP2. really excited by all the bloatware in it.
I am However experiencing a major problem and do not understand how to fix it.
I opened up google maps, and was expecting to see it triangulate cellphone towers to somewhere close to where I live... instead I see the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan.
Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

I downloaded the latest version of google maps and downloaded the quick gps data, go outside and try it again, worked for me. GPS won't lock if you are inside a building.
As the title states, I am having issues with Maps. Maps itself works, Latitude works, but when I start Navigation it FC as soon as I pick a destination. I have tried both the Maps included in my rom (InsertCoin GB Nightly v51), I tried installing from Market, and I tried the modified one that enables worldwide navigation.
The really strange thing is, that it also happened when I was running CM7. Anyone else having the same problem, and possibly a solution?
TTS Service is the problem
Check if TtsService.apk is installed in /system/app.

need your help on this before i get mad and throw my gnex out of the window.
im experiencing great problems with gps fix on any offline gps navigator like copilot or sygic. The gps fix is hard to get and even when it works its really wiggly m it goes on and off continuously and soetimes it puts me kms away from where i really am. Annoying.
Im on aokp build 36 / franco kernel and already tried the gps fix (i used faster gps) setting the server to europe/italy but no luck so far.
Does the agps activate automatically with gps? how do u turn on barometer?
is there anyone who can spare an advice on this? maybe updating radio?

Try using an app like gps status to download agps data before you go offline? I guessing you can't get a GPS fix because you have no data connection...
I've seen a lot of reports about issues with B510 and GPS locking. I've suffered with these, especially on my home Wifi network...
Today there are new versions of Google Play Services and Google Maps on the Huawei App Centre. I've installed these and GPS seems to be behaving much better. Has anybody else tried this?

During the navigation on Google Maps, my displayed position is about 100mt or few seconds back from my real position. I noticed the problem increase when I turn.
I have a S20 Ultra snapdragon version. I used Maps for almost a year without any issue.
I restarted the phone. Cleared Google Maps cache and data. Reset the compass. Reset the GPS and downloaded the new data thru GPS Status app.
What else can I do?
I'm really getting lost.. in all the ways.
Do you think is a software or hardware issue?
Any help is really appreciated.

Hey David Im having the same issues. When im running using Strava the location frequently bounces around and GPS is practically unusable.

I just spoken with Samsung, after a GPS test they said me that it's an app issue and that my GPS is working fine. I'm not sure about that..
I hope someone already solved this problem.

Nothing. I downloaded and tested another app.. exactly the same problem.. must be a samsung problem. I hope a software problem that can be fixed with an update.
Sometimes it happens to work, i would say 1/5 times. I just installed the may patch hopefully that fixes some things.
