[Q] Who Needs FA (Flashaholics Anonymous) LOL ?

Sure the TMobile Galaxy S2 is the slowest out of the box of the G2 Series. Sure its Got a Crappy Qualcomm Processor. But one thing we r getting r a lot of developers. And what does that mean Flash, Flash, Flash fever. I've flashed just about every rom or kernal. This stuff is fun. How many roms and or kernals have you flashed? Who wants to Join the FA Club. Requirements: Must have flashed a least 3 roms LOL

I should be the President of F.A. since I started a group like this back in my Vibrant days, lol.
Yesterday was crazy with all the different drops, didn't know where to begin.
I'm gonna need major rehab.

I had that problem, but not anymore. All of the bugs, unfixed real issues and tacky theme's that came with most of them cured me of any flashing problems I had. I have CM7 on my Vibrant and that's all that will ever be on it.
The stock rom on the Galaxy S II X is pretty good anyway. No major issues.

I'm gonna hold off on flashing until ICS ports are released which shouldn't be too soon after the Galaxy Nexus is released, I assume. Then again, the devs did amazing things with the Vibrant so I KNOW they'll do nothing short of wow me with their work on the SGSII. I was apart of Flashers Anonymous back in my Vibrant days and it carried over a bit into my G2 days.

I was a very sick bastard when I was flashing ROMs on my Sensation, only because Sense sucks, and there were no stable AOSP ROMs, so I was constantly flashing. This is terrible, but I would flash a ROM while driving!! With the SGS2 I am rooted, but because I actually like this version of TW, I don't have that urge to flash yet. I probably will be stock until a stable CM7 comes out, or at least a good Beta. I think this phone has finally cured my sick addiction for now. I still can't put this ***** down though!

[Q] 4.0.4 Darkside UCLE2 PROBLEM

Why my phone is recording vids with no sound??????
Ive tried front and back camera and they are not recording sound.
Mic and speakers work perfect....
Any idea why this is happening ?

No I haven't dropped my phone.
I just flashed my phone and now is the first time me recording a video with this ROM and I've noticed that the camera is not recording voice???
My phone is new everything was working perfect before I flashed it

Did you try reflashing I'm running that rom and its recording fine only rom I know of that has that issue is aokp

I just thought that maybe I could of fix this by installing something.
But since I have to reflash it Ive changed my mind. I don't wanna start from 0....
Its like having to format your whole 100GB hard drive just cuz its says 99GB...
And knowing that you have a lot of important stuff...
I'll reflash it only if I really have to but since I rarely record vids then idc for now....

I flashed 4 roms today and now about to flash beta5
Takes me like 10 mins if that to get back to way things were

My girlfriend is mad at me cuz every time she texts me or call me I'm flashing my phone lol
The other day we were at the movies and I started to flash my phone inside the theater while we were watching the movie and she saw me and she was like "WTF yo!!!! I would have to break that ****!!! I'm getting tire of you and your freaking Android!!!!
And then I told her "you just mad cuz my android is better than your iphone" lol
She got mad as f**uck lol
But I think she's just jealous cuz I spend more time with my phone customising it and making it look nice than my own girlfriend lol

Doesn't take that long to recover from reflashing a Rom. with apps recovering form the Market or using Rom Tool Box Pro to backup and restore apps! only takes like 15 to 20 mins! if you don't have the time then you probably shouldn't be flashing Roms anyways. being in a hurry and flashing Roms is a bad combo. unless you want a brick for a phone just sayn

I'm telling you... Imfamous 2.7.1 is the way to go. the masters behind that come out with updates very very frequently and are always on the spot with them. & kernel is damn good. i highly suggest.

Flash Darkside v7 it keeps most of touchwiz and gives you better battery life along with many awesome extras.

Y wud anyone use anything but aokpM6 atm, most likely the most stable. Till cm9 comes then they will prolly be tied. And then helllllllooooooo jelly bean!

I believe they are all great ROMs but there are some YOUR phone is gonna like more than others...that's the best answer I could give you. Luck homie.

I have flashed over 5 roms in the last 3 weeks and I finally found one that fits me. DS Rev.7.
I suggest to flash a few and see which one is your favorite. Or just keep flashing til you burn something out lol.

Flash aokp and u will never look back... I flash new releases and always find my way back to aokp... and now that it is milestone 6 the battery and speed is 2nd to none.

I so agree with you bro.... the devs are just doing all of this for free. Which ever any of us use is just icing on their cake. To them it just means that their knowledge has paid off.
Too many choices out there to make one single decision. Carry 1-2-3-8 roms in ur card. Choose a diff one everyday of the week. And one day it will make its mark that the one your using will meet all your needs. Until then........ PLEASE!!!!! Read instructions and follow devs install guides. Their there for a reason. Don't be one of the many that post treads about how they didn't research and ended up with a paperweight.

I don't mean to sound politically incorrect here. But I don't think devs do this for us at all. If I had the talents to dev my main reason for developing would be my own personal gains in being able to improve the experience with that shiny new device I've been wanting. Then after I would upload my work for anyone else if they wish. Hopefully cash in some sweet donations if my work is THAT good. But I will never ever believe that devs do it "for us". All devs are hackers. And hackers all hack for the same reasons. Personal gain and attention. Just my 2 cents.

Most in one day is 6 or 7 from GB to JB roms. All time about 300 + since 2009 on three different phones.

Since HD2 and now GS2, I say about average 7 times a week.. No ROM ever lasted mode than two days on my phone.. I know its pathetic.. I blame it on those devs.. just kidding of cause.. XDA is best thing ever happened to my mobile user experience.

but other than that i average about 2-3 a week

I have been flashing ROMs since windows mobile 6.5 days. Had a Samsung omnia. Went all flashaholic on my cliq xt and my Defy. Now am onto my t989. Flashed 6 ROMs on it since I got it last week Friday. I am currently on PAC MAN

Pretty much whenever I saw an update or a new rom become accessible. I've been fascinated with Tweakwiz though. Tried out Embryo 6 as well as the superlite samsung JB v1. I for one am more satisfied with Tweakwiz v2 as a DD over SR and other JB roms. And I know, I kind of have a newish account, but i've been flashing, customizing and testing here since days of the Excalibur. Keep flashing, just read, read, and read some more.

Max 4 on a day.
4 to 5 ROMS a week for about 1.5 years

Too many times :laugh: always trying to see which works best with all the Mods && enhancements with each release
