Sure the TMobile Galaxy S2 is the slowest out of the box of the G2 Series. Sure its Got a Crappy Qualcomm Processor. But one thing we r getting r a lot of developers. And what does that mean Flash, Flash, Flash fever. I've flashed just about every rom or kernal. This stuff is fun. How many roms and or kernals have you flashed? Who wants to Join the FA Club. Requirements: Must have flashed a least 3 roms LOL

I had that problem, but not anymore. All of the bugs, unfixed real issues and tacky theme's that came with most of them cured me of any flashing problems I had. I have CM7 on my Vibrant and that's all that will ever be on it.
The stock rom on the Galaxy S II X is pretty good anyway. No major issues.

I'm gonna hold off on flashing until ICS ports are released which shouldn't be too soon after the Galaxy Nexus is released, I assume. Then again, the devs did amazing things with the Vibrant so I KNOW they'll do nothing short of wow me with their work on the SGSII. I was apart of Flashers Anonymous back in my Vibrant days and it carried over a bit into my G2 days.
I was a very sick bastard when I was flashing ROMs on my Sensation, only because Sense sucks, and there were no stable AOSP ROMs, so I was constantly flashing. This is terrible, but I would flash a ROM while driving!! With the SGS2 I am rooted, but because I actually like this version of TW, I don't have that urge to flash yet. I probably will be stock until a stable CM7 comes out, or at least a good Beta. I think this phone has finally cured my sick addiction for now. I still can't put this ***** down though!

If we get an ICS leak, then devs would probably be more willing to work on it from there. But Touchwiz ICS looks terrible. I'd make an AOSP theme for it if it looked like that upon release.

Says the guy with 3 thanks and 62 posts. I worked in a Sprint store as a technician; trust me I know what I'm talking about. Yes, you can circumvent the issues by doing what you said (flashing a Gingerbread kernel), but one misstep and you're screwed. I said nothing wrong; this guy just got his phone and he said he's still trying to get the hang of things, so like I said, I don't recommend flashing an ICS ROM [right away].

Pretty good. I've owned a LOT of phones since the Evo 4G (which is still one of if not my favorite). The Epic Touch is a solid phone and will chew and spit out anything you throw at it (especially high-end games like GTA 3, Shadowgun, Riptide, etc). The camera is amazing too. You're gonna have a blast with this thing. I'm actually buying an international GS3 and heading to Straight Talk though, so I'm selling my Sprint GNexus soon.

Nothing; when Sprint runs out of supply of a phone, the system offers other phones that are usually of the same tier or better (iPhone is an exception, will never be offered or repaired by Sprint). Some reps will be nice and give you a list of choices, but most of the time they'll tell you what they've chosen for you. It's really up to the manager.

I really wish people would do more research before saying such things. Yes, there is a chance of a brick, but it has been figured out now and some safe ICS options have been developed. Check out the Development thread and look at agat63 and sfhub's offerings at the very least.

Agreed, if people read and follow the instructions, including familiarizing themself with the How not to brick your E4GT thread (link below), then bricking becomes a lesser threat.

What? the Att version doesnt have AOKP does it? I dont think so I think they might have a early build of CM 10 but thats it. No AOKP but Icoul;d be wrong. I know cmenard is working on it and I think whitehawx is working with him I know he was thinking of getting this phone so if he did we will have some real kick ass stuff. For those of you who dont know whitehawkx he is one of the best devs on xda and a key member of team kang. I happend to have the last 3 devices the same as him and all my daily drivers were always his work. Back when I had my g2x it was him who saved it he ha dthe best rom called weapon g2x and then later when ICS came along we got AOKP. Thgen the t989 and AOKP there that is what I have running on my t989 and I gave it to a girl I work with and she loved it and she got a new phone so we gave it to another one of our co workers and he has had android and he thinks it kicks ass. Sorry to go on and on but I just want to let you all know we are in for a real treat. The one thing about whitehawkx and team kang is they do not relese crap so it will take longer but when we get it it will be worth it. As a general rule you guys should not be asking any devs for eta's on their work remember they dont get paied it is a hobby in other words it gets worked around the rest of their life. If anyone wants an eta I say build your own then you will know how long it is going to take. Other than that its just rude.
