[Q] [ATT]BAKED Blackbean 6 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Has anyone else flashed this? Are you having any problems with it? I downloaded the OTA update and am getting alot of screen flickers. So bad that I restored previous version of Blackbean 5. Also try to flash KT747 over it and get stuck on black screen. Any help???

Black bean 6? I didn't know there was an official release for d2att. The one ibn the comments section isn't even close to blackbean5 flashed 6 and it didn't even have theming for MMS. Total crap IMO. I'll wait for travp release

ha ur one curios mofo flashing back and forth like me xD u sure u did a clean install fo blackbean cuz its working like a boss for me

what do you guys think of the battery life on this rom? Better then cm10?

yea they posted blackbean 6 on their site i think they didn't update the thread or something. i flashed it with ktoonsez kernel and i was getting screen flickering which i haven't had since august on cm10 preview builds. really disappointed because i loved blackbean 5, had amazing battery life and i love the inverted theme. hope they fix it.

any timeline on the next gummy update with 4.0.4?

Just curious. Thinking I'll wait to update everything at once instead of doing it now
I read on another forum somewhere (i think android central) that gummy may skip the update 4.04, until he knows it's official. Sorry don't have a link.
Thanks. Any info helps. Love the gummy 0.7.0 but I want the 4.0.4 update. Tried flashing it and it messed my world up lol. Thank god for cwm recovery. Inside my house is right on the verge of 3g/4g. Hoping this will put it into stable 4g.

I was on Gummy 0.7.0 too. FANTASTIC ROM! But I wanted to try 4.0.4. Go to this thread. Download the second option:
Rooted,De-odexed,Zip-aligned ROM With Stock Insecure Boot Image And New Radios & Bootloader
Reboot into CWM, wipe dalvik, wipe cache, factory reset, format /system (sounds redundant, do it anyway). Flash the above, enjoy. I've been on it all day, it's great! I miss some of the features in gummy, but it's no biggy.
thanks im still on the fence cause im in love with gummy lol, is there any noticable difference in signal strength? that would be the only reason id do it, and i still may not leave gummy, im hooked
Paul O'Brien has mentioned 4.0.4 for the GSM Nexus so we'll see what comes about (I think he has it at present)
Don't expect the ROMs compiled from AOSP source to get updated to 4.0.4. The leak is a cooked ROM and most of the devs have already heavily invested in AOSP 4.0.3 with custom code.

[Wanted]Latest Gmail 4.1.2 and inverted version

Just saw my Galaxy Tab running AOKP M6 update gmail to 4.1.2 last night. Anybody seen an updated inverted version of this yet? I'm still running 4.0.5 inverted on my Epic and wouldn't mind having the updated version, just can't stand the white..

[Q] now this MAY sound stupid but...

so im on stock ICS. not rooted.
and i want android jelly bean.
now all i've seen is that you have to get CM10 to do it. but i don't like to use "non stock roms", so is there anyway I can still get jelly bean without using CM?
and if not CM, then i really dont wanna use other ROMs either.
so in other words, is there a way to get jelly bean on sprint s3 using the "official" look of the jelly bean OS (and not other ROMs' looks)?
thanks! (and yes ill root and do all that too)
Closest thing to stock jelly bean.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...T999UVDLI3 Leak Port) - 09/08/2012 (NEW BASE)
Right in the development section.... But read about the rom before flashing it. Make sure it's something you want on your phone.

Not yet, but there's someone saying they have some leaked update.zips. These will be leaked builds so when it goes official you'll either need to go custom or Odin back to stock. Either way it's the equivalent of a factory reset. It will also probably have annoying bugs. If you want a strong, stable build you'll just have to be patient. If this guy posts the update zips, feel free to give a go, but know you might as well be custom because stock recovery will probably reject the official OTA when it drops.

Does he not want clockwork recovery or cyanogenmod? Now I'm not sure which... Nevermind, reread.
so i guess CM10 is the safest bet.
now another question:
since jelly bean (stock) is going to be coming out from sprint update sometime in october, what will I have to do? do a factory install, install stock ICS? and then manually update to jelly bean?

Just to help assuage your fears, the creator of Cyanogen is like head developer for Samsung or something now. It's as safe as a stock build. I personally don't love CM roms and people seem to love aokp just as much. It's all personal preference. Just follow the rules of switching between because it can be a rocky ride. When in doubt Odin back to stop and rework from there. There is a lot of fun in it. Stock is stock, it's also made by developers who may or may not be as qualified or passionate as anyone on here. All up to you though.
I would just be patient and wait a month or 2 for the real official jb update Thayer sprint will send to your phone

1) flash ktoonez kernel. Check HW overlay in developer settings.
2)Don't know the issue your referring to.
3)download another keyboard if you need to because this only comes with one keyboard so you can't change the input method until you download another one
thanks a lot man!
new issues:
1) the battery is GOD awful! i lasted like 6-7 hours with about 1.5hrs screen time. i was used to 30hrs+ using stock ICS. is there a battery fix for this?
2) should i use SetCPU or will this make matters worse? juice defender is already pretty awesome
3) i fixed the swype thing

[Q] static after flashing new roms

My first question post, so please don't flame me.
I went from ktoonez AOKP to M1 AOKP when M1 was first released and gtalk video chat does not work anymore and neither does the sound. I have also tried to use skype but that too comes through as static and no video.
I have done a full wipe factory data/wipe catche and format /system. It didn't bother me for a while and I have since switched roms to slim rom. When I went back to stock with root the video and the static issue went away but as as soon as I flashed the static came back.
What have I done wrong? I flash all the apropriate zip files in the correct order and such.
When I was on M1 I flashed kt747 kernel as well. Did I miss something along the way?
what kind of logs would be needed to help with the issue? right now I am on the latest slim rom with the kernel it came with
Thanks for all your help and I appreciate the help and will thank all who wish to help
also, video audio playback from recorded videos do work fine.
any ideas?
summary...
flashed 10.22.12 task rom, everything seemed peachy. also added the jusTUN bean gapps with proper wiping i forgot to mention.
then flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949025 and after a little flashed the kt747 kernel. noticed the audio issue before the kernel flash. i can't say if the audio issue started with the first flash. still had tun
flashed a few more roms, baked (no data, LTE issue?), liquid smooth with tun, and back to task's AOKP without tun.
got fed up with the inability to find info on my issue and went back to stock through ODIN then flashed task again to see if that would fix it perm., it didn't. it WAS fine on stock after flashing through odin (i flashed the stock rom with root already injected in it)
and now i'm on slimrom. enjoying slim as I enjoyed it on my bf's SII but STILL having the audio issue..
it really irks me that after starting anew with going back to stock with odin helped completely then flashing a rom fked it again...
i do full wipe, user data, cache, dalvik, format /system... all through the newest CWM non-touch. then proceed to flash the rom normally

I personally haven't tried Skype at all on my phone yet. There are some pretty slick touchwiz ROMs out that really persuade you to get away from cm10 and stuff. Here is one I am really liking.

Thanks for the reply my man. That's an idea I never thought of. I did flash wanam light before going through Odinand flashing ccompletely stock with root. I don't believe I flashed it incorrectly since I had no data again, may have forgotten to format data but I was a little stressed at then time. I'm just really used to aosp at the moment but I willgive it a try after ttrying to find out what's wrong.
Other things in noticed that most likely its the top mic that's the issue. Another thing is my buddy said he had a sound issue simular from his headset connected to his computer and stated that it was because too much voltage was being pushed to his mic.... So wondering if that's any relevance

Then also wait for a good stable 4.2 rom that hopefully have it working!

What happened here?

After CM 13 rom was flashed build from 17th was ok,then I did update to 18th December build and now this happens on every rom.
Any ideas what to do?
EDIT: ok so after about 5 minutes when phone got cooler it went away and is now okay... anyone has idea why this didn't happen before? could the phone be overheating?

This is an old well known problem with CM and other CM based Roms. Your problem of split in the screen goes away if u turn the screen off and on again. This will happen on every reboot. In order to get rid of the problem completely u need to flash kitkat boot stack from the link below (for TMO D851 only and not for other variants).
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952594903
After this u can flash the latest modem of your choice.
