After CM 13 rom was flashed build from 17th was ok,then I did update to 18th December build and now this happens on every rom.
Any ideas what to do?
EDIT: ok so after about 5 minutes when phone got cooler it went away and is now okay... anyone has idea why this didn't happen before? could the phone be overheating?

This is an old well known problem with CM and other CM based Roms. Your problem of split in the screen goes away if u turn the screen off and on again. This will happen on every reboot. In order to get rid of the problem completely u need to flash kitkat boot stack from the link below (for TMO D851 only and not for other variants).

After this u can flash the latest modem of your choice.

I have been running stock since I bought the phone and mine still isn't laggy. Sure when I have tons of apps then I notice lag but cmon. Yeah cm is faster but at what expense?having bugs that make the phone useless?...

I would flash back to a Sense rom. If it still happens then I would ask for a new phone from Verizon or HTC.
Flash to stock does it still happen?
well, just got my Gnex... and i really like accept for one issue... lots of random shutdown and reboot there is no pattern i can define..
how ever... fort the most part when it shuts down i am forced to pull the battery inorder to restart it... this is on an unlocked and rooted phone.. but it also happened on a completely stock rom... dang i really like this phone to... im wondering is its an issue with hardware, battery or rom right now im on Jellybean 4.2 rooted.. stock.. not really sure what else to do... perhaps try a different rom and kernel? bit lost here.. i just hope the phone is not defective... that would kinda suck..
any help is appreciated....

well, right now i have franko kernel installed , no params adjusted... not even sure where i would find the section in settings.. on a stock Verizion JB 4.2... im not even sure what would be the best rom to try
some one suggested MetalC.. but i cant find the Gapps that work with that one... so what i need is a solid ROM, Kernel and Gapps..
i was able to root via the Nexus Root Tool kit... that went well... but now i need to decide what Toro version rom i need to use.. and im keeping an eye out to see if the Franko kernel brings any joy for those random reboots and shutdowns... the guy i bought the Gnex from said he will do a full refund but i want to sort this out if possible... this little machine is too cool just to cash out on...
time to research on roms and stuff i guess..

For 4.4 go for cMetal / Playfulgod / dhacker's CM builds, for a 4.3 experience i dunno any one for toro and for kernel i think you can try out MpoKang as it can be flashed on 4.3 and up just have a look in the official thread and you'll be able to find zips plus use trickster app for the kernel control :good: !!
well, a bit of a followup friday swapped out the stock kernel for Franko kernel... and i have had it on for about most of the day yesterday and zero random shutdowns and no SOD.. this little thing is great and its a lot more easy to have this around then a remote for 2 google tv a roku and an xbmc box... i have not delved into new roms, the JB stock seems to be working fine im getting at least 10 hrs out of the battery... this is be best micro tablet i could ever find for 70 bucks... and the screeen is quite nice.. im sure i will be moding soon enough... but for now just a kernel change seems to have put an end to the sleep of death and random shutoffs..

The LTE version takes longer to get updated... We really don't know why. We think it has to do something with the carriers. 4.4.3 took a long time to be pushed to the LTE version. 3-4 weeks for most people. Just be patient or flash a custom ROM. Thank you.
I still haven't gotten even 4.4.3, so yeah. Plus from what I've been reading, it just introduces new bugs.

4.4.4 is basically the exact same thing as 4.4.3 with the new security fix for OpenGl. I never received 4.4.3 as an ota I had to flash the factory image from google. It fixed the random reboots and I get better battery life, although I think that's from going from cm 11 nightlies to a stock ROM that's far more stable. I also figured out that custom Roms were cutting my storage from 32gb to 12gb, so I was happy to find out in had 20 extra gigs laying around to be used.

After i installed android L on my One M8 wifi problem started. When i lock the device wifi connection is break. How am i solve it ? Anybody know this problem ?
Edit : The problem is only Sense roms , not aosp roms.
Edit 2 : And the problem starts with install android L. How can i downgrade from android l to kitkat ?
I've got the same issue. Bluetooth has been acting up as well, though I think that's an unrelated issue for me. Personally, I Dont want to go back to kitkat after using L, so if anyone knows of a fix that'd be awesome.
Also, I am 99% sure I'm on the correct fw and have supercid enabled. Dunno if it makes a did but I have art as well.
I back the kitkat and problem doesnt seen but i wanna use android l. Somebody help us
Same problem. I bought m8 yesterday and i have updated it 5.0.1. Wifi does not work. Im so mad guys. Help please.
I think its the general problem for android l users. Am i wrong?

You need to update your firmware. Discussed in many other threads already.
I've already install last firmware.

Yesterday I flashed the ViperOne 4.0 beta, and my wifi kept dropping out as well. I was using 3.28.401.9 fw, because I read on a few threads that the 4.4.4 fw was compatible with Lollipop.
An hour and a half ago, I flashed 4.16.401.10 firmware, and my wifi has remained connected. Hopefully it stays that way.

If you installed latest try to reflash the Lollipop Rom again and it should work, I've seen the issue and most users fixed it with a reflash.
Before and after reflashing perform a factory reset/wipe.
Same. All the sense roms which based on android l, have that problem. Now i stay on kitkat (android revolution) and its nearly perfect. I think im gonna stay kitkat while the problem is solving. (sorry for english)

It's ok, KitKat is stable.
I use Lollipop, with no issues, but depends of the carriers, they push the updates.

Yeah. Even though I got wifi working on mine, I'm just test driving it and checking out what's new. I'll flash my 4.4.4 nandroid before I go to work tomorrow. Then prolly flash my lolli backup when I get home to play with a bit more tomorrow night.

Yes. I flashed 4.xx firmware (4.16.401.10 to be exact, might be different for your model) and I have no wifi problems whatsoever anymore.

Get into ADB/fastboot and do fastboot getvar all, then post the readout here. Edit out your serial # and IMEI for your own safety. Never post those on a public forum.
Thanks for helping. I will try it and then post here the results.
I got the Samsung S3 Tmobile T999. I want tot install the latest Cyanogenmod rom. Mind you, I'm a noobi, never installed CM before. But I'd like a good recommendation for a good, STABLE rom thats CM with the latest Lollipop. But without any issues like camera, video, wifi, calling, etc. . Can you please recommend one?

Honestly to tell you every Rom is almost based of CM . So your best bet would be to install CM 12 cause you get constant updates.

No, once you download the update go to recovery and look in cmupdater folder in the root directory, the update should be there. once u install it, you are good to go, everything will be there after u update, so no reinstalling. just clear ur cache before u restart after update.
Ok cool.. Will do that. Appreciate it.
