I need someone who is not an unboxer or professional to review this phone. I am planning to sell my GS3 to get this phone because my upgrade isn't mature till 8 more freaken month. I have went to sprint store to playing around with the phone but people said to judge by the display model due to magnet issue.
Honestly?
I'm a phone guy.
I tried it all. From htc evo, to evo 3d, to galaxy epic og, to epic touch s2 to galaxy.s3, etc etc.
And I also own my own cell phone business.
With that being said, personally, to me, all androids are alike.
I know there can be many arguments with my statement, with core speeds, etc etc etc, but we are all on xda site anyway, so we are probably all rooters and flashaholics.
The ONLY difference, again in my opinion, are screen size on devices. That differentiates the devices and performance of the the phone.
Now for the review? I liked the s2 epic touch, I owned it since launch day, then I went to the s3 about 3 weeks after launch.
The s2 to s3 conversion, to me, was not a big upgrade. Sure it was a bugger screen estate, but not much for me to jump ship. I wanted a bigger screen.
With that, I resold the s3 and went back to the s2. And now I'm on my note 2.
I'm not a professional reviewer or any of that sort. I just know cell phones. It's what I do for a living. And personally, with every android device, I titanium backup my preference and settings back to my desired look between phones, so I'm probably not the best reviewer out there.
If you want a big screen, this phone is for you. But be aware that it's VERY CHALLENGING to text with one hand, or give a quick reply when driving on the road. That's my only gripe.
Gps locks are fast, reception is great. But all those were already fixed with the s3 so it's probably the same in comparison.
I don't find myself using the s-pen much.
As far as usability, I use my phone alot. I have 6 emails pushed through k9 mail, and use about 13,000 text messages monthly. So yeah I would consider myself a heavy phone user.
In the end, buy it if you want a big screen. But if you are okay with the s3 screen size, to me, save your money.
Those are just my thoughts. Of course you will be getting bias reviews on this dedicated note 2 forum.. So be aware of that.
S3 is still in my opinion, a very nice phone. Fast as he'll and fast radio locks
I'm a big guy. 6 foot 4 240 pounds . I hate carrying around small phones. I wanted the iphone and its just to small for me. I got the note 2. I love it ! And jelly bean is great. This is the phone I have been waiting for , for a while.

Best phone ever made so far IMO. I'm not big about using the S Pen... mostly a novelty for me. I was huge flasher on evo and the S2 but this phone feels like everything just came together.
Yes, one handed use is slightly awkward and might want to be careful with in case of a drop but hey, no one needs to be texting on the road anyways! I'm a pilot so I'm constantly pulling my luggage through the airport and need to glance at my phone to check a gate or something one handed... its OK for that, but any extensive texting would be difficult. Really this is my only concern... dropping the phone.
Spec wise, the phone is cutting edge. Its snappy and its a dream. So like the other guys said, it really comes down to screen size. I love big screens and I cannot lie... I'm willing to sacrifice a little mobility for that any day!

I loved my GS3 and I sold mine to get the note 2. I am not a professional or an unboxer. The note 2 is pretty much just like the GS3 but bigger and has a stylus. My stylus is a little bit sensitive, i need to turn it down as soon as I figure out how to get the button cover off. I play draw something everyday. On my GS3 it was really glitchy. On the note 2 its not as glitchy. There are a few extra features like being able to set the keyboard to the right or to the left to help with one handed usability. The battery lasts an awful long time! I had an extended battery on my GS3 but I dont need one for my note 2. I love it! I hated being without my GS3 after I sold it, but the note 2 is worth it!
And also don't forget that the battery life on this phone is absolutely phenomenal

There is a1 handed option in setting s that sets your keyboard and dialer to the right or left side of the phone for easier one handed texting. It's an awesome feature for such a big phone...beyond that i had the moment, then the epic, then the e4gt, skipped the s3 because of the announcement of this phone and no disappointment. It's awesome

yikes! for 8 months? my brothers upgrade was due in may but contract up in july. he only had to pay 100. I sold my GS3 on ebay for 430. It was rooted and had cases and extended batteries. I sold it as soon as I heard the note 2 was coming. Plus mine was only a month old. It sure helped for covering the cost.

I was very interested in what the Motorola photon till the guy at Sprint HIGHLY reccomended the SGII Epic 4G Touch. Told me about all the features of guild phone which caught my attention. I also watched a 14 min vid from wirefly smackdown on the photon vs epic 4G touch.
One thing I was concerned about was the resolution being lower. Also rather like the kickstand idea from the EVO, but saw there was cases that have kickstands for the epic 4G touch. I'm asking from people who have owned the phone for a while, is it a good choice to get or should I stick to getting the photon?

Best phone I've had. The only rant is the LoS every now and then. I prefer the smaller resolution because it's just easier. Bigger icons are better (at least for myself).
I messed with the Photon and it's a nice phone, but something that kept me far away from it was the lack of development.
I came from a Motorola atrix from att and I can say I missed Samsung. Phonton isn't a good the ept4g screen is amazing. Battery is OK better stuff is yet to come. Join us get the Epic 4g touch

Had the Photon for a month and have had the Epic 4G Touch for a month. While the Photon is an excellent phone it has serious issues with random rebooting and no audio on calls. It seems for for unexplained reasons the software just goes haywire and you have to do a battery pull. Some Best Buys reported 100% return rate when the phone first came out due to issue with no audio and rebooting. The radio is very strong, much better than the Sammy. The UI is not very good, you will need to switch to LauncherPro to make it acceptable. Thicker and heavier that the Sammy. Neither are great with the battery due to the nature of Android. As for the Epic 4 G Touch the radio is weaker. While people report loss of signal I have never had it. Very slim and lighter. Great all around phone with no issues on the calls. Like everything about it.
My suggestion would be the Epic 4 G Touch.
The SGS2 is a beast! I think you can't go wrong with either phone but I would say Sammy all the way. The screen blows away the qhd display of the EVO 3d I owned so I wouldn't be concerned about the resolution.
I know the a lot of people also like the Photon but I have not used it nor have any intention of even looking at it.
When it comes to tv and computer monitors I am an HD snob. I simply want the highest screen resolutions. Naturally I shopped around for a new phone using the same mindset. That was until I experienced the Super Amoled Plus screen. I finally realized how much of an impact contrast ratio is to the clarity of the screen. Deep blacks make every color on the screen pop. I watch Netflix on my phone in bed and I am blown away at the quality of the picture.
So in my opinion if you are trying to make resolution of the screen your deal breaker, you should go and spend some time with both phones and see for yourself.
Plus our phone simply have the fastest processor on the market. Without hardware acceleration my phone still don't experience any lag. Now with ICS coming out and hardware acceleration on just imagine how much more smoother our phone will be.
I'm an IT Manager for my company, our help desk gets more calls about Motorola Droids then anything else. I will never own a Motorola Android. I will admit the new Razor is tempting. For myself, I like Android but I think it is a little to complicated for the average corporate user. They just want something quick, easy and that works.
FYI, we get the least amount of calls over Iphones. I'm tempted to make the Iphone our officially supported phone. I don't think I want to get into Android or WP7 polices.

What is your company's officially supported phone now?
My answer to the question, plus my Android history for some perspective.
I had the Photon briefly, exchanged for the Epic4GT and would never go back to the Photon.
-First Android was Sprint Hero. Was almost immediately outdated, but I liked it.
-This Aug was time for upgrade, Photon had just come out, didnt like how it looked, got the EVO4G. Really liked it compared to the outdated Hero, but the thing was HUGE, heavy, and battery didn't last long. The camera was 100000x better than the Hero.
-2 weeks later, after reading a couple reviews, (and hating the bulk of the EVO), exchanged it for the Photon. Immediately hated it. Hated the display - "artificial" is the only word I can think to describe it. The camera is horrible - about the same as my original Hero. I also really hated the UI.
Then the GSII was announced for Sprint. I held onto the Photon - hating every second of it - and the very last day of my 30day return policy was the drop day for the E4GT. Got it. LOVE it.
The size is perfect. Biggest screen out there (kinda), but the phone doesn't feel too big. It's not a BRICK like the EVO. It's thin and light. And the display size is great. Odd looking at a tiny iPhone display after this. Display quality is amazing. The camera is at the top - rating about even or better than the best out there. Battery has great life.
Not only is the E4GT the best phone at SPRINT right now, it's hard to beat it anywhere. For now. That all changes quick. But if you need to buy a phone right now, and you want the best from Sprint the Epic4GT is it.
(Sorry for a long first post, but this is a topic I just lived through.)

I'm still on the fence about getting the ET4G. I keep reading about LOS this and poor wi-fi signal that. Coming from an OG Epic some here can understand my apprehension, I would like to see if an update by the end of the year will come through. My ultimate plan is to pick one up through Craigslist just to hold on to my upgrade because I'm holding on to hope that Sprint gets the Nexus early next year.
I have an Epic 4G Touch that has not been rooted yet and I am yet to get an los on it. No issues with wifi or anything else for that matter.
Can keep 4G on all day while at work with about 1.5 hours of on screen time after 9 hours and come home with over 50% battery left. Compared to the EVO 4g and 3d, that is pretty damn impressive!

No prob - hope it helped. As for the case, I have the Carbon Fiber texture Kickstand Cover from Sprint, and I think it's great. I've never liked hard cases before this - always too much bulk. I've always gotten silicone cases, which I have liked a lot for drop protection, but they gather a lot of dust. This case adds minimal bulk and looks great. People cant believe how small/thin the phone is, and that's before they realize it's in a case. Take it out and they are even more amazed. Took pics, will post soon.

I've read so much about this, but haven't experienced either problem. I was even going to jump on board the Sprint refund/credit bandwagon, just because I'm sure I could get away with it, but I haven't had the problem, so I'm not going to. I had had about 4 random reboots in the month I've had it, but it hasn't been a problem. (I just heard it rebooting in the other room.)

The reboot could be caused by an app you are running. Are you running Juicy Defender or something like that? I know that has been an app that causes reboots.

I just got to play with the note 2 this morning.. OMG this is amazing. I never thought a stylus on a phone was a good thing. Especially after seeing my Dad's crappy palm from yesteryear. However, the S pen works so seemlessly with the phone and I look a lot less silly holding the phone up to talk than I imagined I would (lets face it, i look silly either way).
So what do you guys think? I'm hedging. I can probably sell my Gs3 for $300 and if I pick up the note off contract for $650, a $350 purchase doesn't sound too bad at all .

Ha! You may not think you look silly with that giant thing up against your ear, but most other people sure think you do lol. But who cares what other people think, go for it if you like it! It's a great device, just not one I'd personally want to be making calls on.
I had the original note before I got my gs3 and it was great. However that feeling does where off depending on how you use it and active you are. I mainly work outdoors and use my phone at the gym and it became a hassle trying to take care of that device especially after slapping a case on it. The one time I didn't have a case it fell out of my pocket and chipped the corner of it. So like I said it depends on your usage

I used the original galaxy tab 7" as a phone for about a year, so yes I am interested. Especially if its specs turn out to be what is speculated.
I had the Note as well. Really enjoyed using it, didn't like carrying it around, ended up to be too big for a phone, sold and got the GS3, very happy. If you currently put your phone in your pocket, think hard about the Note 2.

Hey everybody, I am currently a Sprint Customer Who has had the evo 3D since launch. I am in the market for an upgrade, and I am looking at the Note II.
I really like the fact that it is a super powerful phone, and the S-Pen functionality would be of great use to me. Some of the things that I am not sure of have to do with the software...
I noticed with my evo 3D, support was not super quick, and most roms that removed the sense kernel ended up losing 4G and 3D capability, and sometimes even GPS.
I know the GSIII has gained a lot of traction in custom roms, etc, but I don't know if that will be the same for the Note II.
I guess the bottom line here is that I like the Note II, but I don't want TouchWiz, but I still want full functionality especially the 4G and S-Pen. So with that in mind, Do you think this is a good buy?
The difference between this 2 devices is from the earth to the SKY, I been a HTC loyal costumer for over 6 years... this ended when the NOTE 2 came out and so far I LOVE this phone. im pretty sure you will love it too, get a launcher over touchwiz and you will be set.
At first its kind of wow this is too big but now (a week after) its like man look at all those tiny small phones ...
We already have root and some ROMS, so its only a matter of time before we get a big crowd of developers working with us...
go do that swap NOW!!!!
:good:
I just picked up my note 2 from evo3d last night. Once I got home I felt a HUGE disappoint from leaving my 3d woth cm10 coming to touchwiz and how BIG everything is. Day two, im a little more at ease after some sleep.
My biggest issue is just how huge everything is. I know once I root it and change dpi down it may look more normal for me. Im used to using a small font with and small font settings.
However my biggest hurdle is how unstable this thing feels in one hand. I constsntly feel like I may drop it because the only way to truley be able to use one hand and access everything is to rest the phone on your four fingers while using your thumb to navigate. Versus having end of your other fingers having a sturdy hold on left side of phone like normal.
Using the one-handed option does help for typing and such, but its mainly not being able to reach notification bar while having the firm grip versus resting on four fingers.
Having a inner struggle weather I want to keep this or go exchange for the gs3 later today or tomorrow. I use my phone with one hand a lot so thats a huge issue for me.
Has anyone else gone thru this while switching too the note2? If so how long does it take for that too go away.
Also im curious as to what kind of stylus support aosp roms will have. I know it will work for touching the screen but I mean as far as default samsung note apps and such? I know I will be going back to cm10 on this or the gs3. But if we will lose a lot of stylus support then I dont reslly see a need for the note over the gs3 with only .7 inches of extra screen real estate.
Any input would be great! Thanks

Not sure if you knew, you can make the font smaller. You can go to Settings >> Display >> Font Size. You can select tiny but it won't be as small as the font in 3d. but still it makes the font look better.
I used to own the e3d as well but for me, i'm really glad i went with note 2.
I've had every Evo and happy with going to the Note 2 even from the Evo 4G LTE. I would rather stick Note 2 over S3. I love AMOLED screens and very happy they did the RGB setup instead of pentile and a major reason I went Note 2 over the obvious things.
How about one handing the device? Does it feel comfortable or do you feel you could drop it at any second. Mainly with having to pull noti down?

Thanks everybody for your input on this matter. I do have a question about the AMOLED screens though. From fiddling with the phones a bit in the store(mainly the GSIII and the EVO4) I have noticed that the AMOLED is much dimmer. I knew the sprint rep wouldn't let me take them outside to see what they look like in the sunlight, but I asked him anyways, just for the reaction. Obviously, it was still a no...
How is direct sunlight use? Especially for those coming from the 3VO to the note II.

Sorry bro but if the sales rep wouldn't walk you outside so you could see a real world difference then go to a different store with better cs ... my sgs3 does great in sunlight as long as you don't stand with the sun on your screen ...side note...I just switched to sgs3 from the note 1..great transition imo

Sorry bro but if the sales rep wouldn't walk you outside so you could see a real world difference then go to a different store with better cs ... my sgs3 does great in sunlight as long as you don't stand with the sun on your screen ...side note...I just switched to sgs3 from the note 1..great transition imo

Yeah, i was in the little strip store by my work, instead of the full sized nice one that I usually go to. Good to hear about the screen, and I'm surprised anybody would be going from a sgs3 to the original note, glad it works out though!
SO im pretty sure im going to get totally flammed for saying this but here goes and I think you need to hear it.
I too upgraded from an evo 3D. I wont lie the note II is an amazing device and is very fast.
Things I like most about it
-Screen size is very impressive for video especially
-Battery life is incredible you can beat on it all day and still have juice in the evening
-Camera is pretty impressive speed very fast fastest ive ever seen on a phone.
-speaker is pretty good audio nice and loud nice if you dont have headphones with you
Unfortunately for me this is where it stops, and I will repeat these are my own opinions.
Things I do not like
-The hardware home button you have to push it in to make it go home kinda pain in the ass since the back and menu are capacitive buttons sure would be nice if they kept them all the same or even better just made it a capacitive button like most of the other manufactures do Its not an iphone I dont want an iphone...
-Screen very poor performance outside, full brightness and I am still thinking to myself this screen is hard to read out in the sun light or even in the car on a nice sunny day, I suppose if I lived in oregon or Washington state along the coast I would not care but here in sunny california its a problem. The Evo 3D is much easier to read outside in direct sunlight
- You cannot operate the camera while on a phone call. Why ? I have no idea but cant do it. Evo can no problem
- You cannot send a txt msg while on the phone either again why? no idea but my evo 3d sure can and its nice sometimes especially on speaker phone.
-I personally think sense is a pretty nice UI better than touchwiz but thats just me so im glad to be back.
-Memory mapping is a problem on this device your SD card will show up as external SD card not SD card so causes problems with a lot of programs unless you root and use directory bind. I did this seemed to work alright but more of a work around to a problem that should have been addressed at time of manufacture in my opinion.
- Stock browser and I like the stock android browsers they are pretty good but for some reason wont txt wrap when you double click to zoom in so you can read paragraphs of text so I am scrolling back and forth to read and I have the largest screen ive ever had on a phone and still find myself scrolling like crazy, hum.
- Swype does not auto space in the browser when posting things such as this very post annoying.
So those were my biggest complaints with the phone aside from this its a pretty nice device. However I did find myself wanting a lot of the features my year and half handset had. Honestly The new features the note II brought to the table for me did not outweigh the simpler things that I routinely use. So I am returning mine this evening and have already re activated my evo 3D and will sit it out till the next HTC device comes down the pipe and see what they bring out.
I will say the 3D does feel small in my hand now but its like an old pair of jeans just feels right, and usually I am very rapid to adopt the next phone I really wanted to like this phone and use it for the next year but I asked myself if I keep having questions if I should return it or not then something is wrong.
Oh a few other things that annoy me about it was the lack of multitasking which I was really looking forward to. However it cannot do that yet=lame...
Im sure much of what I complained about will be addressed through software fixs and what have you at least I like to think so. And I know you can download a bunch of apps to do some of this stuff.
So my best advice go buy one and try it out for a couple of weeks like I did. Its only 35 bucks to turn it back in and go back to your Evo 3D. I will say though the EVO 3D with a custom rom on it is not a bad device and is not really that slow. I think if you are coming from an Evo 4g the drastic difference is bigger or if you are coming from an even older device then it will be mind blowing. But from the evo 3d the Samsung is a nice phone a bit faster for sure but 300 dollars faster and worth 11 dollar a month insurance and 200 dollar deductible for me not so much.
Again not a hater I think the note II is a great device for very specific ppl and a very capable handset. But thought it would be nice to hear somebody else's view that is not all roses

No...I had the note and sold it, and bought an S3...hardware wise there just isn't any comparison... and I can run serenity rom which turns my phone in a note 2!

Anyone who says the screen isnt brighter has been smoking too much hash. I could hardly see either of my evo's on a sunny day, this thing is leaps and bounds brighter and clearer outside then an evo. I dont even have to take off my polarized Ray Bans to see the screen. I have perfect vision so it may be different for contact or eyeglass wearer.

Getting Anxious
I am currently rocking the EVO 4G and I lovied this phone when I got it but started to notice that it seemed like the last great phone that HTC made. I dont get my upgrade until Dec. 1st and I cant wait unitl I can finally get rid of this thing I call a smart phone and get a truely amazing device that is the Note II. I was a little upset when the original Note was on AT&T only but now that the successor is out for Sprint, I am as giddy as a school girl. Reading most of these comments makes me that much more anxious to get my hands on one so that I can finally see the awesomeness and true power of Samsung. Thanks for all the great input from all of your posts.
I'd make your decision based on your preferred screen size. There are a lot of great devices out at the moment.
I can recommend this device if you like the size.

Thanks

Since you use it one handed a lot, you should look into a flygrip. There is a video review on YouTube.
Hey, I would just like to thank everybody who has given their input in my thread here. I'd like to inform everybody that I am now a proud owner of a titanium Sprint Note II!. The capability of the phone impresses me, and my only fault is that it is taking me a bit of time to find the best way to hold it.
Thanks everybody!

So why didn't you go into a store and play with it BEFORE dropping all that coinage, getting home and then complaining about it afterwards? It's not as if you didn't have that as an option.
I went to a store today and spent some time with it. Currently have an S3 that i love. I would have no problem using a Note 2 as my primary device but i don't think i would want something that big ALL the time, hence i would prefer the S3.

Well I did play with it. The disappointment was short and mainly just like with going from anything you know well and are used to, to something new and unfamiliar. Once its rooted and I can change DPI that will resolve the elderly resolution issue.
AS I've actually had a full day to play with it I love it. Homestly the only issue I somewhat have is the unstable feeling while handling with one hand making long stretches with my thumb. Im sure after awhile longer, that too will pass.
Just ready to be on good ole cm10 again.
And as far as toying with it. I did, but you arent able to get a full accurate grasp on any of the phones with the bulky security piece glued too the back with the strecthy cord.

I feel you then. I have big hands and can balance the Note 2 fairly well in one hand.
On my S3 I have a nandroid of BlackBean 6 JellyBean (AOKP) that i was running for a while but i'll have to say that the new TWiz is very nice. I like the subtle changes to the UI systemwide. Currently running FreeGS3 JellyBean (Twiz ROM) and it's fantastic. Never expected a Twiz ROM to draw me away from AOKP.
Right now, any phone feels small to me.
Honestly, I can even go a BIT BIGGER than the note 2
Not wider, but longer.
You just get used to it.
Have you tried a different launcher? I too came from the evo 3d and now laugh quietly when I look at my wife's original evo. I use nova prime and cannot say enough about it. And go get yourself a case. I bought the Samsung case in the acces forum and got it today, not too much bulk and I can now sleep at night.

Just to address the size issue, I remember when I got my Evo 4G, thinking it was pretty nice but maybe too big. It took about a day to get over that. I always miss my previous phone for a day or two, but new phones always provide the benefit of new technology. I had the first Note version in blue and now got the Note II in white. At first I thought it was way too bright, but in a day loved it better than the first. I didn't think I would like the slightly narrower version, but find it fits better in my hand, and again, like the new technology. I am giving you my personal guarantee if you use it for a week, you will not go back. And you can fiddle with it, and eventually you will get cm10 or something newer. It's great.
I did the same exact thing. Except I first grabbed an sgs3. I love the note 2. It's never felt too large for me. I do have big hands but even so one handed text entry is suffering. I find swype style keyboards work best. As soon as SwiftKey releases their new beta ill switch to that. I enjoy SwiftKey for most entry but a split keyboard is a must in landscape. At this point I have 7 imes loaded so I clearly haven't found the perfect set yet. Stick with it, the note is hard to beat in all categories right now.

Just wanted to thank all of ypu above for the encouragement to stick with it. After finding out the phone couldn't take pictures while on phone and the lack of SVDO and only SVLTE (which isn't in my area until beginning of next year) I was dead set on returning it.
I think got a helpful tip that the camera can be fixed thru a small false to true value chane in the features xml.
I went to my cousins to toy with his gs3 and let him play with this before returning it. (Also note that talking to him on phone yesterday he said he didnt think he could manage anything bigger than his gs3)
Turns out the moment he saw it he started drooling over it. He wants one now! Needless to say I second guessed returning it just because of the lack of SVDO. So I guess I will be keeping it because im definitely starting to love this thing more and more.
So thanks again to everyone who said hang in there. Cant wait top see how this community is compared to the evo and evo3d community with the constant drama and disrespect towards devs.

I want y'all to convince me as to why I should get a note 2. I like to hear from the one's who owned a s3 and went to that note 2 also the one's who skipped the s3 and just went for the note 2. I'm thinking about selling my s3 on eBay for this phone. Just like to know of it's really worth it.
Anyone wants to make a Harlem shake video with me?
Nobody needs to convince you. Go to the sprint store and play with their demo for 15-20 mins, use the stylus the whole time.
You'll get your answer better that way because it IS a sizable size difference to hold and that's the biggest issue I've found so far. But I'm getting use to it darn quickly. ha

very easily, this.
just to reiterate, my 2 cents:
the size was only weird for about 2 days, now it feels mostly normal.
but the battery, the CPU, the screen? all big points to win with.
runs All day with Heavy use (games, chat, SMS/MMS, music, +plus all the other stuff), and some to spare for when i get home
(the only exception to this would be using Nav, but you should be powering your phone when doing that anyway...)
never stutters, never lags, runs every damn thing i throw at it, and sometimes two things at once. aaaaaaa. mazing.
movies/youtube look fan-freaking-tastic on it. pictures look fantastic. games look fantastic. reading feeds/pages/docs/anything at all, fantastic.
again, as far as the size goes?
got in a little tete-a-tete with some iFan on gizmodo about it:

People laughing at the Note was short lived. Everyone, and I mean everyone that cares about smartphones in even the most cursory way, that sees my Note II is more than a little impressed.
Don't hesitate.
well i came from the s3 to the note 2. at first it felt really big in my hands but after like 2 days i use use my wifes s3 and im like dang this screen is too small lol! anyways pull the trigger you wont regret it. the s pen makes this device better than the s3 by itself but you will notice the faster processor and netflix is really enjoyable on this thing. i was going to get a 7 inch tablet but now i don't need it.

I own the s2 s3 and gn2. The gn2 is in a category of itself. Never had I experienced this awesome batterylife in another phone. I was also concerned with size but that's now a thing of the past. As stated by other users screen size, faster processor and spen were the deciding points.

Honestly i jumped on the note 2 as soon as it came out and sometimes do miss my s3. The size isnt an issue bc im 6ft 5 and can hold it with no issue. But the s3 is alot easier to handle with 1 hand. I sold my s3 and got a little over $500 for it bc i had alot of accessories so i only came out of pocket with about $150 for the note 2. If your happy with the s3 you will be happy with the note 2 bc it is very similar. But if you have to come out of pocket with alot of money to make it happen i wouldnt do it. I live in baltimore and theres some people offering $250 and there s3 for a note 2 and im considering jumping on it. Iam in no way sayin the note 2 is a bad phone all im saying is the s3 was and is still a very good phone and to me holds its own against any phone.

Let me tell u if u get this phone u will not be disappointed. I came from a s2 and the size in hand is a little hard to get used to but once u do it is all good. My girl ditched the iphone 4s for the s3 and she sometimes uses my note more then I do
