Bricked or not?

The trinity I I gave to my daughter has a problem as soon I put a sim in it, it crashes, I installed all the recent roms on it and also the newest radio (1.56) also I installed the original Dutch Rom on it with the 1.23 radio I tried it with a few Brasilian sims and with a Dutch one all whit the same result it almost always crash even before the phone complete to boot with just one rom ( the Portuguese) it was possible to make a few phonecalls before it crashed again.
I gues there is a hardware problem in the phonepart of the phone, is this a separated part off the hardware or is it all at one mainboard which would make it to expensive to change the entire board or does anybody now where to buy a mainboard for the phone for a reasoable price? A adres where I could send the phone in Brasil for repair would be welcome aswell.

i have the same problem , and i don t know what to do... i tried many ROMs including the Official one.... but no result ,, only crashes .... i hope the HTC service can repair it

Help needed, diamond bricked? broke?

Hi there,
A while ago my diamond started doing weird like the screen going blanc/grey and other stuff..
Now it won't even boot! Sometimes it goes on but just to the black screen with diamond on it,
after that it jumps off,
I can't get it in the bootloader or anything!
Hope someone can help me out

have you tried to change rom? it can be the driver's rom problems..

hey dude try mtty and then flash a new rom .............i too bricked my phone today morning and its working perfect now

I cant get it into the bootloader..
the damn thing just doesn't boot
any idea how to get it into bootloader somehow?

Well, i contacted HTC and they said i could send it to them and they would repair it.
And probably at no costs 'cause i still have warranty!

i don't think they will replace a modded SPL

I think they wil repair your device but it will cost you money because you have a modded SPL.
Your warranty is not valid anymore.

Yeah, that could be!
But i couldn't do a damn thing with it so this is for the better i guess..
and it worked before for me, they repaired my titan at no costs when i bricked it

In all seriousness though, it does sound pretty toasted. If you can't get any response from the LED when plugged in I would say it's pooched.

I was making fun of the use of the word Cocked.....either way, try replacing the battery, that has been known to be an issue with some of the DHD's out there. Not mine, I haven't had battery issues so far. Only Vibration motor, replaced under warranty.

i bought the phone in iraq , and there is all the paper about warantly and other user guide , i dont know the first one had bought the phone in europe , how do i know if i have warantly to send them to fix ?

This happened to my DHD once. Try and re-seat the battery & then try to boot it up?
Worked for me.

It does, it totally does, but you can always revert back to a stock ROM and then undo all of the rooting steps you took, reverse ENG-S off etc

[Q] Why is my DEVICE ALREADY UNLOCKED????

Hello There fellow pro XDA Users i am in pretty desperate need of knowing if my Device is original or not, so please!!! help me :crying:
i have bought a new HTC One X 2 days ago from an authorized Dealer here in Bangladesh(they said themselves as authorized even though i have not found any info of them on htc web )

and they all seemed okay so i was fine and bought it
But after trying to root my device and opening bootloader i WAS SHOCKED that my DEVICE IS ALREADY Unlocked!!!WHY???
Also The Device seems to be from Switzerland ORANGE as my CID is ORANG216
also i am getting pretty big lag spikes when playing dead trigger and gangstar rio is it because my device is FAKE?????
also because of staying out of htc service i cannot recive OTA updates so i tried to manual OTA from here that matches my CID http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606676
and thats when i found my problem
i have attachted my bootloader image and clockworkmod image please see them
also my software info
PLEASE HELP me so i can atleast try to get a refund

From what i have been told earlier some dealers root the phone because of missing local languages in the software. Don't know exactly who or what, but that's my experience with an older case i read about a while ago. That guy told me that it was pretty normal......i just find it strange !
The only thing you must check is what kind of warranty you are entitled to. Because HTC will now no longer support software problems on the phone. Only real hardware problems will fall under warranty. But that's also sometimes a what grey area.
We can get you back to full stock and updated to Jellybean if you wish ?
Edit : its imported from Switzerland ? Then they did this to add languages indeed.

Even my device is imported (Sealed) from Australia.. I'm from India.. So I don't have HTC warranty...
However, I have ebay seller warranty and he has said he will replace the device with no questions asked in case of hardware failure...
So, in your case as well... I think it's pretty much the same thing?? You don't have HTC warranty... but dealer warranty... You should have clarified this with your dealer...

firstly no i am in no way in orange i am in GP(local SP here)and i also dont know if it WAS ported from swiss
so umm does that mean that the device is not fake i mean its just weird that an intact device(they cut the HTC poly and seal in front of myself) has unlocked bootloader
also about the warrenty yes i clarified it with the dealer they said that there is no replacement warrenty but if any problem does come up in a year (hardware or software) they will fix it so does that mean i don't need to get refund...what do you guys think?
also there are other strange things in my phone for example the phone CID is orang216 so it should display switzerland in its region but instead its displaying arabic and saying that the device is htc_ara (via app device info)
also the dealer used a special steel tool to cut my mini sim into micro with one press lol(machine looked kinda odd )
also if your talking about localization then there is arabic fonts installed here but not our country language though

A lot of people do buy unlocked HOXs, what you could do is relock it if its really bothering you. Run the correct RUU, from fast boot, and it will relock your phone and give the original software etc

yes after a while now and a lot of research i gound out it is common also the no radio was a problem with my hboot 0.95(its normal)

Wouldn't be complaining, saved you time. Also some have soft bricked thier phones in attempting to unlock.

One thing I'd be worried about, is your H-Boot. Thats low....

He has successfully updated his Hboot and has ARHD running now! He had created multiple threads.... so this can be locked!

Ahhh great.
Glad he's all sorted another one ticked off the list.
RUU is easiest HBOOT update method for anyone who happens to come across this thread with same issue.

Whoa man chill, One X is probably my Best Buy yet.. :good:
You could always relock your bootloader, install the stock ROM and get OTA updates...
And upgrade the HBOOT Please -.- even mine's already 1.36 :silly:
But still that's a surprise you get new One X with unlocked bootloader
You still can get dealer's warranty though...

My HTC Desire 616 is fully dead. no response anymore. i tried to flash rom by SP tools but it's take only prealoader nothing else. Please anyone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can i solve the problem? After load the prealoder it shows BROM ERROR : S_DL_PMT_ERR_NO_SPACE (5069)

Format ur phone using sptool and then flash stock Rom using sptool.
May be It's work .

i've tried this stock rom many time its not working i think its hardware problem when i tried to hard reset i get error then only i tried to flash stock rom but it failed because nand or something is not found when i scan memory thru sp tool so it maybe burnt or something happen to memory chip so downloading rom to phone memory wont work i hope it get fixed

i gave it to service they said IC problem i should pay for change IC or Board, board cost 4k so Ill give another try in HTC service center and let u know what is the problem. its hardware problem since it wont complete downloading rom to phone
