Has anyone else in the San Antonio area been experiencing complete loss of voice and 3g service today? 4G has been stable though. I'm up by 410 and Bandera. My phone's been roaming off and on all day today. Multiple reboots and restoring different ROMs doesn't help it. Perhaps they're working on some of the towers.
Crappy speeds in Austin today, no los though.

Work at the best buy at the rim and I've been getting ppl in saying that they keep going into roaming a lot. I just do a profile update and perl and it seems to work.

There is a new prl this week 60687, and central tx is supposed to get lte service on first rollout, perhaps its all related?

Austin has as of last week 4% of what they planned done. Not sure where or how much of the area is included, but its happening.

Been happening to me off and on for about a week now. I don't get 4G where I live near SeaWorld so I can't comment on that.
I was in and out of roaming a couple days ago too. But I'm about twenty minutes south of San Antonio. I wish I got 4g here

At least more places in tx seem to be getting 4g now. I was amazed to get it in Brenham area a few weeks ago. I was in the country too at least 10 miles off 290 and I fired up my 4g and was shocked when it picked up signal.

No but have been getting roaming a lot her in Live Oak by 1604 and 35. We went to Corpus yesterday and had roaming real bad down there.
I work in the best buy mobile at 1604 and 281, and my sprint rep told me that they're going to working on the towers for the lte roll out. This stuff is directly related, just some growing pains.
Edit: I also have gotten Los around the seaworld area.

I live by lackland afb and have had Los quite a few times in the last two weeks. Also roaming occurs a lot for some reason. Hopefully it'll get better

Yeah, nothing official on that site, but they really seem to know what's going on. They're projecting an August/September timeframe for the LTE to come on around Chicago which makes me happy. I'm going to have a hard time waiting with just 3G as it's horrid around this area, but hopefully they'll start getting it together soon.
@hayzooos Yeah I'm in ATL Ga, and they have been testing here for some time now.

Looks like the Detroit area is getting left out of the fun again. First no wimax, now its looking like we're not invited to the lte party either... What is their obsession with the Grand Rapids area? Is there a corporate headquarters there or something? On the bright side, I'll at least get a good signal when I go out that way to my cottage during the summer!

LTE has been truned on for testing several times in each area for the initial rollout. Turn it on, you just may get lucky. Ask qbkin77

I found it under mobile networks or something like that. Choose the option that has lte and cdma but there's no actual on of toggle for it. When you change the setting your phone will reboot

Will our phones just have a 4g indicator at the top when using it? My area is rolling out and done by Fall but I heard it was possible to get some reception as they keep building towers throughout the Summer.
Idk but i think rochester mn has 4g lte. Got some of it. It was fast! Does anyone else got it where they live? Now im feelin sprint cause they unlimited data on 4g lte. The cool thing was i had full bars too. Download was at 25.62 mbps and upload at 6.26mbps

Good to hear they spreading LTE fast. I got lte signal from my place to my work. Northside Chicago to Ohare Airport. Got the same speed as you but usually 16-25Mbps is the highest Ive ever seen so far.

setting up 4G LTE in small towns is cheaper than in big cities and allows them to have a better "number of 4g towns and cities" that 4g carriers love to mention in ads.

At least it's in Minnesota! I heard December for up here (Forest Lake) and still not getting it. I've gone this long without it so it's not a big deal but I'd be nice if they could stick to what they said. Almost February now and nothing! I update my profile almost daily.

I received an email a year ago that Portland, OR would have it by the end of 2012. That did not happen, and now Oregon is not even one of the States listed as a market that is getting it. I guess they moved us to phase two or three. Kind of sucks because we were early in the wimax roll out.
I have to travel 30 miles to LA to even get LTE. Orange County is small but very compact. We were one of the first ones to get 4G WiMax but probably last for LTE
Is there a log or something where it shows all the cities that have been announced?

They're deploying through the New Orleans Metro area now. Not much so far but it's progress.
I'm so jealous of people that get LTE. I live in San Francisco and on the old 4G WiMax network, I used to get 4G at home and at the office. Now that I'm on an LTE phone, I only get 3G at home and at the office. The sucky part is that if I walk 1 block in any direction of my house or office, I'll get a 4G LTE signal. I really hope Sprint boosts the signal or add additional antennas so I'm not stuck in a 4G LTE deadzone for the next 2 years.....:crying:
Sprint Is just pure BS when it comes to any network rollout or advancements, thats just fact. even though they were bought out, its their corporate structure they need to change. On every level they are one of the most sloppy companies i have ever dealt with in my life. And seriously why would they roll out LTE IN BUTTVILLE and in ghettos. aND YES IM SERIOUS about that statement too. In Los Angeles, There is LTE alright but not where there are many people like to travel such as south LA, (south Central) yeah the LTE is crackin there!! No Lie
Here's a couple speed tests of when I went to GA a couple weeks ago. I got lte 80% of the time. It was nice. Can't wait to get it in NC.

Lte is available in Portland and some random town a few blocks from where I work here in Washington state.
Btw Porto Rico is nearly completely covered with lte... Is anyone in that country even wealthy enough for an lte device? I didn't even know sprint was available there lol

Wtf kind of ****ery statement is that?! I'm 100% Puerto Rican and although I was born and raised here in the states I travel a lot to PR. I have a good job in the medical field and can afford an lte device. In fact I have three on my account right now with two wimax devices. That statement is a bit offensive bro..

Yea, that was uncalled for.
For the last part of 2012, I was getting great LTE speeds in downtown Houston. They ranged from 22 - 25 down and from 7 - 9 up. Nowadays, however, I'm only getting about 3.86 down, but still averaging ~8 mbps for upload. Do you think this drop in only download speed is due to people getting more and more LTE capable phones?

Just wanted to let you guys know i was getting LTE on Leonard by the corner of Seward and Leonard, all the way up to Target/Khol's on Alpine! Works great indoors and out, in Grand Rapids, MI (i have also heard of people getting it in Byron Center)
And here I am, stuck in Ann Arbor. Oh well.

And it makes the unlimited data on Sprint allllll worth it =] it's amazing, i get it on my couch now! I still use Wifi for the sake of battery life and better consistency though!

There is a small and I'm mean SMALL areas in Flint, MI where 4G pops on for me, I went to the Sprint store right by that area and the rep told me that they are installing for the area but are not announcing it since it isn't supposed to be live yet till later this year, but that it was working in some areas....

A friend that lives in Ann Arbor says they're working on the towers right now and that's why you when u stream music it cuts out, they want 4g up by spring apparently he heard through his contact at Sprint which was just a guy at a Sprint store.

A friend of mine that works for BestBuy mobile was told by his Sprint rep that their goal was to have most of the larger cities along the 94 corridor up by the end of q1. I would think that A2 falls in that category.

I haven't even seen Winston Salem on the list of cities currently in the upgrade process but the sprint store people say it is coming in March. I don't have a lot of faith in that though.

Good news! Even though there are like three square feet on u of m's campus that aren't covered by wifi, I'm kind of depending on 4g+wifi tether to satisfy all my off campus apartment Internet needs lol. Rent around here is obscene.

Not yet, but my source told me it was supposed to come on around the same time as Battle Creek. So far there is only 1 tower up here, so I think it's just in the testing phase right now.

Yeah, they are testing it now, to be officially "launched" they need 2/3 of the city covered, so when they actually do launch Grand Rapids, it'll be a lot more than just Alpine, and at this point, they could turn it off any day since it's not official

I live in the city and sad to say no LTE in Utah and I doubt there will be any time soon, I doubt they will even get around to it this year since they barely have around 88 markets.
