Yes, I am having the same issues. It attached to my home WiFi which is from ATT Uverse, but any other wifi (including work) do not attach.
I enter my passcode in a public wifi, it connects, then drops

Weird GSM issue on T-Mobile?

Its somewhat sporadic but like just now I'm in an area of full hspa coverage and then all of a sudden the signal dies and it says no service. Usually an airplane mode toggle does the trick but this time I had to restart the phone to get it back. I just had installed widgetsoid so not sure if its related but I've uninstalled it for now. Anybody see similar?

I have not experienced this with Tmobile and the nexus but I know if you used a toggle app for some Verizon lte phones you would have to call in and provision the phone again..had widgetsoid installed earlier but did not fool with the toggles

I sometimes lose my signal exiting the subway. It's like it just doesn't reconnect. It has happened on my nexus s as well.

What baseband are you guys running?
If your APN settings for Data have a proxy entered, try removing it as well as the port. That can cause issues sometimes.
The above is assuming your carrier would allow you to use it without the proxy.

This sounds like the problem I have. I think its just a T-Mobile issue since I remember having this issue a few times on Sensation. I just hope they try to fix this in future basebands and software.

try contacting them and have them reset your connection to the tower???
dunno if that would help, but i always do that when i switch out my phones.

It doesn't happen that often. Its actually rather rare. My SIM is pretty old, I've had it since before TMo even got 3G. I was thinking of going into a store and asking for a replacement just to rule that out.

I as well have the exact same problem with the Mytouch. I have found that keeping it at 2G will preserve my connection though at limited speeds and I can simply bump up to 3/4G when I have to. It kinda sucks due to the reconnection time but it saves me battery and random signal loss

[Q] Anybody know if T-Mobile HD Voice works on Note II?

As mentioned in title there is a new feature out that can be read about here > HD Voice News
I'm wondering if anyone knows whether it works for Note II as well. They only list 3 phones on the story, however it doesn't explicitly exclude other phones. Just curious.
I was wondering that myself, my coworker had me call his friend that was on a Nexus 4 and the call seemed to be very clear, but I couldn't tell whether it was "HD Voice" or not since there is no indication of it on either of our phones.
We have the required chip, but I don't think the required settings in the firmware are active.

Did some research found this quote "The new SKU will apparently launch before the network goes live with the LTE radios disabled, but once the towers are up and delivering the juice T-Mobile will issue a software upgrade to enable them. Those who bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may not need a new phone, though, as that phone did come with the dormant LTE radios during its first run. We imagine T-Mobile will issue a similar software upgrade for it"

Ok, but that is talking about lte radio, not the hd voice chip.

I work for t-mo
HD Voice only works, at least for now, on the:
- HTC one S,
-Nokia Lumia 810,
-GS3
GN2 is yet to be confirmed but what we do know is that it only works between T-MO phones and it HAS to be amongst these 3. ****FOR NOW AT LEAST****

If the GS3 can do it then we can do it. It just needs a patch for the firmware to use it. Which will probably come out when we have our LTE radios turned on.
What does it have to do with LTE getting switched on. Current GS3 doesnt even have an LTE radio.

Read the press release again. Current GS3 owners got jipped. T-Mobile is re-releasing the GS3 with an LTE radio.

It doesn't directly but when they patch our phone to turn on LTE they will probably enable hd voice also. Radio has nothing to do with HD voice. HD voice is dependent on the sound codec on our phone, but it makes sense to do it when you are already patching the system.
I expect the exynos security patch and maybe even 4.2 before LTE.

Well I expect LTE very soon. What would be the point of turning on LTE in Vegas if you have no phones that support it. They plan to do it in the next couple of weeks.

Well I can be the optimist and you can be the pessimist. I don't see the point of rolling out two or three software updates in a one year when they can address it all in one big update. The international note 2 doesn't even have 4.2 yet. I bet we see 412 with HD Voice and LTE radio enabled first.
Yup - we'll see. Btw, battery life might take a hit if the LTE radio is switched on. We might not want it on too soon.

My friend has an AT&T Note 2 in an LTE market and he still gets about 16 hours of regular use. I get about 16 - 18 with regular use so we will see. LTE radios have gotten better at using batteries. I remember that the first killed batteries like they were going out of style.
The other piece I wondering about is what happens when the LTE radio is activated in a non-LTE market. Does it go searching for signal in some way like the regular cell radio in a poor signal area. That is murder on the battery.

Good question. I am sure they will put a toggle to turn it on and off. How does the Note2 LTE and GS3 LTE handle it, I wonder.

(Q)Using data while on a call.

I am wondering if it is possible to be on the internet while on a telephone call? I believe there are some phones that can do this like the HTC 4G LTE but is this possible with my samsung galaxy note 2. I think I can do this using wifi but I'm talking about with a normal 3G connection is that possible.

Nope. Not possible. The galaxy s3, and evo 4g LTE can. The note 2 cannot. I'm not sure about the Galaxy S4.
You can use LTE or wifi while on a phone call with the note 2..just not 3g.

Connecting to LTE after airplanemode

So I am using the LTE N7 and I keep noticing this issue. When I turn mobile data off or leave the device in airplane mode for too long and then turn mobile data back on or airplane mode off it takes a while for it to connect to LTE. No matter where I am while my galaxy s4 will connect to late right away when switched on from airplane mode.
It really only takes like a minute or two and I know its no big deal but is there a way to force the radio to connect faster or maybe a radio/modem to flash like you can with phones?
Just wondering
This happens on any ROM that I flash

I think this is a 4.3 issue as I recall seeing this talked about in the Galaxy Nexus forums (Verizon). Is your S4 on 4.3?

No my S4 is on 3.2.2 so I guess it makes a lot more sense now that you're saying this has been talked about already.

Bad service with Note 3, but S4 was amazing?

I got my Note 3 a couple of weeks ago, and my signal is terrible 99% of the time. I rarely get more than one bar, and I get 3mbps download and 1 upload on LTE. With my T-Mobile S4 at the same address, I easily got 4-5 bars and 30mbps download and 5-10 upload. I'm thinking modem issue, but then again I'm on KitKat, and it seems everyone's having one issue or another. Anyone else feel like the signal quality has gone down from the S4 to Note 3 for them?

I switched to the note 3 from an s4 and feel the signal is a LOT better on the note 3. Even more improved on kitkat. Maybe you got one with a bad internal antenna connection?

Maybe, I'm calling T-Mobile later on today to see what they say about it.

Have you tried to Odin back to 4.4.2?? Maybe the radio is corrupted

Signal is a lot more better with note 3. Maybe it is in your signal reception.

Yep, flashed back to stock NB4, which is what it came with. No change. What I recently noticed is, if I make a call, my signal goes up to full bars, but as soon as I hang up it drops immediately.

mine was not stable also, but its not so poor or low signal

I think so. I am planing to talk to T-Mobile to sure about this.
There are times that it would go high and suddenly go down. But usually my signal is stable
