Hi all,
I'm a spanish guy who has bought one HTC One X with Yoigo and I want to unlock it for others operator.
The HOX is the model S720e. I've tried to unlock it as the others HOX using the IMEI with the HTC servers who gives the unlock code, but when I try to do it, it doesnt work.
Could please anyone tell me what I can do to really unlock it? How works the databases and why it gaves me the wrong code?
Thanks and kind regards
HTC don't provide sim unlock codes.
Go on eBay, there are plenty of places that will send you the sim unlock code for a few euros.

Yes, i've tried with several of them, but the database that they use doesnt works well and gives me the same wrong code. So I want to know where they takes the databases, why it doesnt work for me, etc.
Won't Yoigo give you the code?

Yoigo will not give me the code until 18 months.... :S
Well, I think I've bought a tablet more than a phone... :S
As I found there's no way to do it with root no? Only for the HOS...
No, having root doesn't help.

pls help thx
Either phone up t-mobile and ask for the unlock code. If they say no then use imei-check its only 28 euros, not 100.

You need to get that from your phone provider, or you can buy your unlock code off of ebay.
As each code is linked to an IMEI, you will have to go to a reseller, or to your provider, to get your code. I got mine for free at freeg1unlockcodes.com, but there are many places on the web that will do it for you at a price.
Hi guys,
I plan to buy a HTC Wildfire for my brother but unfortunately, the phone is Network Locked.
Is there any change we have a program or something that would unlock it for free?
I really don't trust the sites a la : www.unlockyourphone.com ... and Vodafone won't unlock it for free.
Thanks and really looking for an answer.
Best Regards,
DH
I bought mine from Vodafone and they unlocked it for free, on the spot. I did not extend my contract with them, I just bought the phone.
P.S: I`m from Romania.

If u are in the uk, get it from somewhere like carphone (all their phones are unlocked and debranded) or sim free from expansys
Did you manage to unlock your phone? I also have a Vodafone romania locked wildfire and don't know what to do about it. Thanks.
Vodafone unlock contract sims for free.
Will only unlock free paygo if the older than 1 year.
You'll have to pay.
I used htccode. No problems.

I am with Vodafone on 30 days contract sim only and I bought my wildfire on pay as you go. I phoned customer services and they unlocked for me free of charge.

Free Unlocking is not possible to get for the Latest Phones,So i suggest you to get the paid unlock code to unlock the Phone from Network lock, that is best than using the Unlocking programs and software......You can get the Unlock code from here
Mobileunlocksolutions.com and unlock this is trust-able source..............

Hy guys,
First time writing on the forum. I'm from Romania and i have an HTC wildfire locked on vodafone .
I bouught a code from gsmliberty.net...and and and..nope it didn't work...i spent last 3 days chating with them and leaving tickets to the suport team but not any luck iuntill now.
The thind is that after i insert the unlock code under the sim unlock pin message ..it apears an error message that says "incorrect password".
Now..i'ce checked the security under settings and deselect every password that i found including here SIM pass , unlock password , unlock path...everithing i could...but still nothing
Could enyone give me a piece of advice ?
Thank's in advance
For now i cannot say "Sent from my HTC Wildfire"

Complete lie. Both the HTC Desire and the HTC Desire Z can be sim unlocked for free.
Its a shame noone has dedicated some time as there problably is a free way for the Wildfire as well.
We need a version for wildfire
there is a tool "Universal sim unlock for S-off’ed HTC devices" but it doesn't work for wildfire, maybe a hope for the next future, look at sieempi dot eu blog
Doesn't the HTC dev website give you an unlock code for free?

as far as i know htc dev will only allow for custom roms to be used and custom recovery to be put on. will not remove sim lock, carriers would go nuts if it did.
Yes it says in the frequently asked questions that radio and sim lock are still locked and it will still say s on, sim lock is a carrier issue if they unlocked it carriers would kick off as they wouldn't be able to use they're branding effectively.
And radio still being locked might cause problems for cm7 users.

I heard that you could call your carrier to give you the code to unlock your phone, but 3 wouldn't do it unless the phone was on another network and I was joining them. I'm on o2 and wanted to remove 3'a Sim lock, but no joy. could have tried my carrier to.

i went to a phone unlocking shop and they did it there and then for a tenner. also, if you can get your hands on a xtc clip you can s-off and remove sim lock
I bought a Sim network unlock code on ebay, 3 times, I got the same at all three of the seller, but dont work
What could be the problem???
1. - You're getting scammed
2. - Seller has bad/not working codes and is unaware of this
3. - You bought the wrong item
4. - For some reason they don't work because of something with your phone
5. - You're doing it wrong
6. - If it's none of those, blame unicorns. Always blame unicorns.
It's generally not the best idea to try it thrice with the same seller unless you're really confident they're reliable.

Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
Are you running a custom ROM?
If you have 1 or both the unlock code won't work you need to o it on factory ruu as fare as I'm aware as it worked for me

bootloader locked, Rom official 4.0.4
the seller gave me back the money, but it's not clear to me how three different vehicles we sell the same and this code will not unlock my phone
sory for my bad english

Well at least you got your cash back. I think the best thing to do is to call your carrier and ask them to send you the code.
If it matches to the ones you got fro. I ebay then it norows it down to the phone and you can take it from there

Was it from three different vendors?

T-Mobile Montenegro provider changes the codes on these phones therefore the codes from the HTC database is wrong.
This is not just with t-mob mont there are so many other networks like portuguese networks, t-mob croatia, voda and orange romania etc..
if the providers change the code, then cable is the only way to unlock these phones.
The same problem whats the solution

I'm here to ask how i can modify an "Xperia S" that is "sim locked"; i'm desperate because this phone is no brand, bought in italy, but now that it is in UK it doesn't work with UK's sim cards.
How can i unlock it?

Buy a unlock code for your phone and place a unknown sim and it will ask for the unlock code
And call to your operator. That's why you pay them for.

you should call your network operator and ask them for the unlock code.
But they might not give it to you as it was bought in a different country, I'm not sure. They didn't give one to me since my xperia S was from a third-party company :crying:
