the possibility of seeing what you're doing on the device, for example: who is calling you, view messages, send messages, whats the time, and lots of many other options. :silly:
Sorry i had to, that was funny:laugh:
on topic,
i assume thats is original screen from galaxy note (not the replacement one from ebay or something else, because of that flat cable in top left corner on the first pic.)
so i think that is a good opportunity for someone who need a replacement screen for his note.
Cheers

Also, does anyone know if the stylii stated to work on the Note in this thread would also work on a Galaxy S3?

As far as I'm aware, the stylus in that video is the original Galaxy Note stylus that comes with the US version.... may be wrong on this though... The only difference is the different colour on the thumb button, nothing else is different.
Also, as aalupatti says, the C-Pen will not work with the Note. The S-Pen uses Wacom digitiser technology while the C-Pen is just a squidgy capacitive pen with a finer point than normal. That latter part is crucial because the SIII has a higher resolution capacitive sensor than the Note so can detect smaller points.

Thanks, I don't have a Note. I've ordered an S3, I posted this video here because it was drawn on a Note and I thought it more likely Note owners would know what's going to work on their devices.

Ah, this means you do want the C-pen then!
nevermind, sounds like you're set with the equipment you need!

Thank you for the insight. I was looking for something like my Wacom pen for the SIII; something like the stylus in the video. Not something that other people seem to want!

unfortunately the SIII simply does not have the digitiser layer that the Note has, so capacitive stylii are the only type that will work.
Certainly one of the major selling points of the Note!
anyone know what app is that?
That is just a different kind of note application that has an option "sketch" which fills rough gaps to nearyby lines. Pen is original
This is i9220 S Pen. Many i9220 models have gray button.
You can buy it here.

$269 for the international white and blue.
$219 for the atnt red.
Shipping can take a little while but I've bought from this place before with no complaints.

UPDATE:
I bought the screen with the frame attached. It didn't work because the frame has a placement house for the processor, and the processor changes place from american to international version.
In sum, it didn't work and I'm gonna return it and get a screen without frame. Hopefully that works
UPDATE 2:
Bought a new screen without frame.
When removing my old screen following this method: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_70-W9JjVjg&feature=youtu.be
I noticed that my old screen had printed on it: I9300
This confirms that the screen is the same for all versions of the Galaxy S3, because otherwise it would say SGH-T999, right?

After sending my faulty galaxy s3 in for repair at telus, then getting it back with a scratched/cracked camera lens, they gave me a brand new galaxy s3 replacement. Im not sure if "brand new" is actually brand new or not, but I saw the guy take it out of the box and everything. So I've had it for about 4 days and I noticed a blue dot on my screen, which kind of looks like a dead pixel but I can see the dot when the the device is turned off too, and it looks like its blue coloured.
Has anyone else had problems like this?
Also on a replacement device, do stores usually allow exchanges on them?
Thanks

Is taking a picture of this possible? You might get more responses if you do. If you cant take a picture, can you at least describe it a bit more like where its located?

Sounds like something underneath the screen. Heres an idea if you haven't tried it yet, have you tried taking a screen shot to if that shows anything?

You can dial *#0*# then go through the colors to check for dead pixels.

Hi,
my friend dropped his Galaxy Nexus on the floor and broke the screen (glass and display). But the phone seems to be working, since it gives the vibration and a little sound when turned on and off. When connected to the PC the storage is displayed correctly (all the photos are there). The problem is when i stick the SIM and when i try to call it fails to receive the call, but afterward you can see the LED notification blinking the white color about every 7 secs.
Since i cannot return for warranty because it was dropped, now im looking to buy the display. Prices seem a bit high...
The question that I've got is this: Is it worth to Change the Display? Can I be sure that the phone will eventually work?
It concerns me the fact that maybe something else is damaged.
Any help or thought is appreciated.
Many thanks.
PS: My friend is a Noob when talking about phones and he didnt know whether it was on 4.0.4 or 4.2.1
It will work properly.
What is the price for screen ??

Thanks for your fast answer,
I've been searching over the internet and the lowest price i could find was about $120, was hoping a bit less since other phones like galaxy s3 was like $40. Can you find me any display?

Samsung Galaxy Nexus repair how to
Hi. Only to comment: My Galaxy Nexus bought on the Google Play store started freezing after 9 months... typical intermittent problem.
I had a hard time to find how to create a ticket request to have the Galaxy Nexus repaired.
This is the web page with information:
CAN"T POST LINKS!!! www[dot]samsung[dot]com[slash]us[slash]support[slash]service[slash]warranty[slash]GT-I9250M
I called the Samsung Android phones repair center (at midnight PDT) and got the ticket number, service repair approval. They sent me the regular mail label and I sent it. Now I'm waiting for the repaired phone.
Good luck.

Screen Flickering too
Hi, I just realized I have this problem too. A small but slightly noticeable flickering on the upper half of the screen. I have seen it on lockscreen and normal screen as well. Mine is an Italian Note 3 neo 7505.
My hypothesis is this may be caused by something related to the S view cover as it only happens on the part of the screen where you can "interact" with the screen using the s-view cover. Don't know if this is caused by software issues or hardware, but if you found a solution please let us know.
Cheers,
actually i dont have that kind of issue!!i have tge N7505 and never used S view cover
I have a N750, the Indian version.. i don't have the problem.
