I've got Desire Z with the original earphones with the remote on the cable.
The buttons on the earphones' cable (play, forward, backward) don't work.
I can hear the music through the earphones however, so it seems that the cable is ok.
Is it something that can be fixed in the system?
I've got CM ILWT 564
thanks

You should ask roms'developer. It works fine for me now (gen.y), but didnt worked on another rom.
Thanks.
What's gen.y? What kind of rom is that?
I'd like to try it if it work for me.
It's ICS 4.0.3 with Sense 4 (soft version).
I think it's the smoothest ROM with ICS and Sense.

thanks. I'll check it

Will Cyanogenmod ever support the Incredible's video out?
If there work being done on this and if so, is there a place to watch the progress?
This is one of the last things keeping me on a sense rom.
Thanks.
This thread should probably be in Q&A. I would also like this function - it sucks having to choose between the wii remote working on CM6 and the tv-out working on Sense

I have the exact same issue. I want to use video out to a TV and a bluetooth keyboard simultaneously (would make the incredible a decent enough substitute for a laptop when traveling) but unfortunately it's one or the other...
Looking for a bluetooth gamepad that works with my captivate, currently running the latest cognition rom, I need one with a d-pad, a, b, x, y and shoulder buttons, Basically, the layout of a DS. Im gonna attempt to do a project, and need these exact buttons. Im not sure if just any bluetooth gamepad would work with android?
Thanks for the help
A keyboard might work... they seem to have some working on the i9000 over here:

I'm not sure how well they will work on the captivate
Just wondering if the speaker volume has been increased at all with the AOSP 4.1.1 ROM?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Not sure but,
I am not sure but I had the same issue on GNex and used Volume+ app from the market and it works wonderfully. Hope this helps.

The volume in JB (in my experience) is the same as ICS... i.e. WAY too low. Volume+ worked on ICS, but it has not bee updated for JB and currently does not work. If anyone knows of something that does, please tell me as the current volume for the speaker is almost unusably low. :crying:

You can try this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738197
It has the AwesomeBeats Mod by Awesome. OR you can try some of the Sound Enhancement MOD for JellyBean under the GNEX Themes & Apps section.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip but I would like to stick to the stock ROM, I'm WAY too lazy these days to play the ROM update game - that's why I bought a Nexus... so I'd have pure Google without having to mess with ROMs.
I will have a look at the mods/etc though, cheers.
I should point out that Volume+ apparently works for most things, but not notifications/phone rings which is mainly what I used it for.
It's almost the same with previous ICS, that's my opinion. Not sure about other though.
Hi!
I found this mod when searching for a fix. The mod increases the bluetooth music streaming quality highly. Now the sound is disordered and hissy.. The mod raises the the MAX-bitpool to 64, when default is around 32.
The only thing is the mod is made for the Samsung Captivate Glide. Could somebody make this mod work on our HOX?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880298
Thanks!
Hox has definitely higher bitpool than 32.. I would say it's about 50. You can compare it with desire or any other older model which has 32 and see the difference.
This was also the main reason why I rooted my old desire (cyanogen has first fixed this issue in version 6).
Hox is the first android phone with fixed bitpool on stock rom.
If this mod really increases it to 64, that would be awesome

Anybody? Anywhere? Any chance?
I'm a noob, can't do it..
..would be nice.
:cyclops:
I would love to have this. I've gone back to using the 3.5mm jack in my car because the sound just wasn't there.

Yes,
Exactly what I have been forced to do also, go back to the wire..
I don't understand why they can't set the default already at 64, what difference would it make, only make the sound 100% better..
Now there is a way to fix it, i just hope somebody with the right knowledge could help...
fix?

Idk, nobody says anything about what it actually fixes. Does the mod raise the bt bitpool or what? and the mod is for the nexus 4, not sure is it compatible for our HOX.
It looks like we are not gonna get a fix for this on the HOX...
Thanks!
I'm coming from the One X+, it has the same issue then the one x, and i've tried out ad2p streaming over a brandnew htc one: still the same problem!!!
it's a shame that a big manufacturer like htc can't fix a software problem like this, cause if you stream over a new aokp or cm 10.1 rom, the problem is fixed...
does someone have already a solution for sense 4+ roms?
thanks alot.
cheers
Hi!
I just recieved my new headphones and the buttons were supposed to work as I read on these forums but they don't, none of the three buttons does. I'm using the latest ARHD rom 31.3, but I suspect the problem could be in the fact that I don't use Sense and have thus removed it with Rom Cleaner No-sense script. Could this be the problem? For music I use Mixzing player, but I also tried stock music player and the result is the same.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Weird, they are working just fine here. All three buttons, even with long press and double press options.
Running an AOSP rom, using stock player and spotify.

hm, that's really weird, because obviously you also don't have sense, so that shouldn't be the problem. i'll try to reinstall the arhd rom without removing sense and keeping the stock kernel, because i'm using a custom one at the moment. maybe it's a hardware error, so i'll have to send them back if that's the case.
