[Q] New to xperia play just one question

hi guys new o xperia play i have a r800i model and its rooted and cwm installed but im not sure what rom to download im looking for the latest gingerbread rom with nice tweaks not looking for ics till a official one is released can someone help thanks

Darkforest rom I would say nice tweaks maybe cm7 if your not a gamer

hi thanks ya i like playing the games main reason chose a xperia play really does the controls not work on that rom or something

Try TEAM rom And if you want the xperia s look try Dixperia rom.

U should get something that improves performance. Maybe,... was the rom called cola from hogwarts? I'm not sure but its okay. If u want the ics look get gbtweaked.

Try DiXperia Monster with DoomKernel v11 it's stock based but gives you a fresh feel of Xperia S or NXT series. But only problem is with the 2G/3G data but I mostly use WiFi so I can deal with it until official ICS release.

[Q] [PRO] Which rom and kernel do you recommend ?

I want to install a ROM which has the best customization options of the UI and a kernel which has the best performance.
Currently I'm on Xperia Ultimate HD rom with Ultima ICS kernel.
Was that the best choice ?

Does anyone know if it's possible to have the Stock Sony ICS and have the GB wifi module flashed to it? I'm asking because when I updated my mk16a I lost the Access Point functionality and it is very important for me to have it. I really love ICS but I had to go back to GB because of this issue. Thanks in adavnce!

first sorry for my bad English coz i'm for cambodia and the question is, which one os the real developer of Xperia Ultimate HD ROM? is it sir "Jader13254", or "Eagleboy"??? i saw on the forum a thread that is a Xperia Ultimate HD 2.0.3 mod by Eagleboy. is he a part of developer of Jader or just another modder? and should i choose Jader ROM or Eagleboy ROM?

you can flash the rom and enjoy the speed of your device..ok?
and ultimate hd mod is a mod not a rom!
it is made by eagleboy for jader's rom to enhance its features !

ohh thx alot and can i ask which kernel is the best for this ROM? Jader Recommend the Ultimate HD basic kernel but now it on fix.

Eagleboy's mod is mainly for stock ICS, so stock ICS users can enjoy the features without installing the Ultimate HD ROM.

Nah... Not really
EAGLEBOY mades this mod because he loves my rom.. Than he got my best friend. Lol.
He want to make my rom perfect, and it enhances the user experience and the features of my rom and any ics rom too
This mod adds a lot features my rom didn't had be4.

[Q] Locked bootloader roms

I'm currently running on stock kernel android version 2.3.4 and my bootloader is locked
rom is gin2jellybean
Where can i find other compatible roms that i could flash using Cwm5

Most stock based GB ROMs are compatible with locked boot loaders. Just look at it this way if it doesn't require a new kernel, its compatible unless it says its not for your model I.e. you have a r800i and its for a r800x. Also some ICS ROMs now work on stock kernel..

ahh ok thanks! but are there any ICS or JB roms that doesn't require a custom kernel?
I shall try to search for it myself too :

Why don't you just unlock your boot loader? Quick and easy. If you need a guide,they're all over the place. But I don't think there's a stock JB for stock kernel, but there is for ics

There are a few ICS ROMs that work on stock GB kernel just search the xperia play android development seaction for ICS roms

With a locked bootloader your only asking for problems for your device.

Mmmmmmmm?????!!! A name will be usefull, he's new here and i think he don't want a bricked phone after the first week here.
Well i have a locked bootloader and i tryed all stock based gingerbread roms here... well, for me the best roms are XPERIA NXT 1.3 by Krisdee, it's very stable, smooth and very good NXT look; AURORA PLAY by spizzy01, beautyfull and very nice graphics with his adreno booster mod, games almost no lags; and NXT2JELLYBEAN by sewer56lol, the fastest rom here, very light, plenty of ram and very very good sound with headphones. :good:
But it's just IMO, the performance and stability may be diferent in diferents devices...

[Q] Ultimate HD + Lupus Kernel Locked BL

Hey guys.
i flashed ultimate hd rom and it looks very nice..
the performance is not very good.. so i want to install lupus kernel..
but i have locked bootloader so is there any way to install without unlocking my bootloader?
maybe can anyone tell me some good Terminal tweaks for better performance or somethink ? or good kernels without unlock bootloader..
OR any other good tipps ?

You can't flash custom kernels with locked bootloader..
