I hope this is the right place to post this.
When I had my EVO 4g I installed P-Droid, but either I don't remember how I did it, or the method for installing it has changed. So how exactly do I get it installed on my SGS3? I tried using the P-Droid autopatcher on my ROM AOKP JB 10.11.2012b. It said it completed but it never placed the two flashable zips in its directory.
Is this ROM not compatible or am I doing something wrong? I would love to keep P-Droid working again. Would be cool if there was a ROM with it already built into it.

PDroid allows blocking access for any installed application to the following data separately:
Device ID (IMEI/MEID/ESN)
Subscriber ID (IMSI)
SIM serial (ICCID)
Phone and mailbox number
Incoming call number
Outgoing call number
GPS location
Network location
List of accounts (including your google e-mail address)
Account auth tokens
Contacts
Call logs
Calendar
SMS
MMS
Browser bookmarks and history
System logs
SIM info (operator, country)
Network info (operator, country)
For device ID, phone and mailbox number, SIM serial, subscriber ID and device location it also allows supplying custom or random values.

I tried reading through it all but I am still confused a bit. I think it can be only used on dedoxed roms (first i've heard of dedoxed). I am unsure if its the rom itself I am supposed to patch or something else. I tried asking elsewhere but got no answer.

HI!
Can anyone out there help me with a registry tweak to display in tf3d the active line of my phone network?
I mean when my "dual SIM" it's selected on business number to show me business or the number instead of VF-RO, and when i change to other line to display the number or personal.
Thank you!
Dual Sim
Try another "dual sim " model or edit sim1&sim2 no.!

Thanks for the answer, but I do not use sim adapter. I have both numbers on the same sim, and I have updated the numbers in home and business menu but it's still show up the operator name.
In the operator menu I have option "display current number". This will show me the number but only for 3 sec.
I wonder if I can find that regisrty from "dual number menu" and place them in RIL or something...

Hi. I am not sure how exactly this is achieved, but it is available in Vic's ROMs. So, you could install one of those (which are actually quite good in my opinion). You could also take a backup of your device with this ROM (e.g. with SPB backup) and then, after flashing the ROM of your choice, you could make a restore using ROM upgrade mode. This will keep the functionality of displaying the active line name from your 2in1 SIM.

i need a coach. i have a freshly flashed verizon samsung i910. it is making/recieving calls. i have all the correct settings for metro for the sms/mms/ dialing #777 etc... EXCEPT!!! I can NOT get the password "metropcs" to stick when i enter it into the settings. I have a verizon vx6800 "ntc titan/mogul" I had it flashed to metro, and put all the same settings into it, and it's password stayed in place. All is working purrrfect on it. mms/sms/pic&text/calls/gps/instant messaging, etc.. I have been told that on the omni i910, the password has to be edited via computer/usb cable..reg edit.. perhaps. If i knew what/where to edit i feel confident enough to try it. can anyone direct me with good info, as to what software to use, and where in the registry, i need to edit? I have mobile reg editor, and qpst, and active sync installed, as well as tcmdpocketarm total commander for pocket-pc. i really want to get this phone working, someone please come to the rescue. my email is [email protected] cell# 707-413-8127...augie. and thanks in advance...

Welcome to the forum
Perhaps you have not noticed this is an HTC devices only forum
However if you go to off topic section there is a trhead about samsung
Good luck,
p.d I recommend you to erase your pesonal data from your post
Let me guess...
You've discovered some hidden menus recently by typing codes in the dialer and find out this one: *#*#4636#*#* that open a "Testing" screen showing options like this:
Phone Information
Battery Information
Usage Statistics
Wi-Fi Information
Then you went to Phone Information
Tried some options (maybe played with SMSC:_________Update / Refresh ) but that was not doing anything so you exited the menu.....
after a while you wanted to send a text or someone was asking you "Did you got my text?" and you didn't....
Here's what hapened: Accidentaly you erased from your phone the "Messaging Center Number" wich is responsible for giving your phone the access to the SMS/MMS central of your provider.....resulting in loosing the ability to send/receive messages.
Don't worry, after having navigated XDA Forums I finally found my way to make it work again (yes that's because I did it that I now now it).
By the way, even if you Factory reset, flash a new rom/radio/kernel that mistake is gonna stay. You need to enter the number again.
in the *#*#4636#*#* hidden menu,
scroll down to "SMSC:"
in the box type: 0791715097960300
press the "Update" / "Mettre à Jour" (first button)
Now exit and Reboot the phone.
To test it, don't try to resend an old test message as it contain old message center number. I even suggest to delete previous text messages from your inbox if possible.
If it worked, everything should be fine by now. (you can even kudo me for this loll)
NOTE:
The real Roger Center number is +17057969300
the thing is that it need to be Encrypted in Hexadecimal PDU format.
(user MarcusVanSciver on XDA shown that link in thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412261)
That was for Orange Network (european have 8 number to phone number instead of 7 so I had to add a 0 at the end to make it work for Rogers)
after Encryption the number was now: 0791715097960300
This worked for ROGERS, the trick could maybe work for other networks but I can not validate the info. (but for sure this will not be the same number)
This had been tested with stock rom and Custom Rom With Custom Radio and Custom Kernel.
If this helped you, please give credit to this post ;-)

Easier way to do it without mucking around looking for your SMSC. It's how I got mine up and going again!

Hey man, this might be a bit old for you but i just got a galaxy nexus. I am having the outgoing text issue. I've tried that number and everytime i hit update it just says update error. Think you mightbe able to help me?
Damn this doesn't work for me
To program the SMSC (Text Messaging) number on Android devices, please follow these steps:
Go to the phone application.
From the phone application, press *#*#4636#*#*. (You will have to press the Call or Send button after entering this code in for some Android devices).
Tap on Phone Information
Scroll to the bottom to where it says SMSC and enter this number exactly as you see on this page (including all symbols): +17057969300
Press Update.
Earlier today I had a successful attempt at installing FXP's CM9 126 build. As a requirement I had to flash the R800x_4.0.2.E.57_Verizon.ftf via Flashtool to my phone before I could flash the Rom. My phone's provider is Cspire(formally Cellular South), and after the ftf my phone is trying to make contact with Verizon for activation, leaving my unable to call or text on my own provider. I've tried flashing a nand backup I had of one of Codename Andriod that I created when everything was working perfectly, but it didn't fix the problem.
Thank you for your time and please let me know what I can to fix this.
Sincerely,
Frag_Bag

You'll need to change the build.prop and apn settings. Found this from a quick search with someone that has a working verizon build.prop that is said to work on cspire
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dgteu3ziweifix8/build.prop
and his working apn settings:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6cs5tqwdlcstt3s/apns-conf.xml
Also found this:
You could push the apn with ADB but i just edited mine with root explorer in /System/etc and restarted the phone.
As for CDMA Workshop is a service software for CDMA phones it is used for flashing phones to different carriers to put it plain as possible in my mind but it can be used for countless useful tasks, just Google it to read more. But the below method was much easier.
Dialing ##7764726(##program) is used to manually program your phone.
After dialing ##7764726 press call it will prompt for a SPC password it should be 000000
Then click User Activation
MIN1 I put the last 7 digits of my phone number.
MIN2 put the first three of phone number(area code).
MDN is your 10 digit phone number.
CDMA Sys ID put 1996
IMSI_11_12 put 12
Then hit back and click on SID/NID Pairs:
SID_1: put 1996
NID_1: put 65535
After this hit back till you exit all the way back out of the menu the phone will reboot after it reboots i dialed *22801 it didn't say anything just sat at the activation screen for about 30sec. Then it said reprogramming the phone then rebooted agin after that i was back on C spire.
Links are a little old but this is all I could find:
SID Database if you need to find a different carrier

Also the SID/NID I used was found in this PRL breakdown:

The Second post of the page explains a lot more about PRL and SID/NID just good to understand what your kinda messing with:

I don't think you'll need the 1. Just the last 7 numbers. Try that to see if it works. And just so you know, I'm on verizon so all my answers are coming from google at the moment lol

Mobile data would be in the build.prop and the apn settings, You should be able to use pieces from the build.prop I posted to work whatever rom you're on. I got to assume verizon and cspire are close to identical since they're both cdma. Half way there right?

Well, I have a z play bike, upgraded to version 7.1.1 of the Android, patch from July 1, 2017.
My device recognizes my SIM card and the number appears on the same tab, but it is out of service!
I picked up my wife's device for a configuration question.
Moving from here and there, looking and comparing, I saw that everything was really identical, taking something out.
Entering the phone information by typing the code * # 4636 # * # *, I saw that the only thing that differs from my wife's is the option "Cellular radio power" that my device is not active!
Another error was that when I try to make a call, it appears that I have to turn off the airplane mode to make a call being that it is already disconnected and at the moment of the call, on top of the name of the person to whom I am calling, a quick "Radio off" message. I entered the phone application and went to settings> call accounts> Select my chip (TIM), yes it is written TIM !!> but when I click on additional settings it the configuration error of the call (Network error or SIM card). I already tested other chips and nothing, I believe it is the option that I can not activate. Can anyone give me a light ? Sorry my English, I'm Brazilian and I can not understand the language very much. Thank you!
Did you try to hard reset?

Yes, I did. I have already upgraded to version 7.1.1, I have already returned to version 7.0. Before it was in version 6.0 and also did not work. The funny thing is that he reads my chip and shows up to my phone number. When I try to make a call, he asks to turn off the airplane mode and above the name of the person I'm calling the radio appears disabled. I believe it is the power option of the cellular radio that is not activated! One thing is for sure, it is not software. Any idea ?
I litte noob in hardware problems, i have two assumptions, the first thing i think is if install a custom rom and then flash stock rom and lose IMEI (to check type in dialer *#06#*) if this happens and you don't have a EFS Backup, sorry but theres nothing to you make, the only way is changing the motherboard, my second teory is can a problem from Tim Sim Card, you to try others sim cards and see if working in your device, if its works just go in Tim Store and pass your number to other sim card
Obs : i brazillian too and in past i have a lot problems with tim sim card.
