Sound in stby mode bad - HTC One X

So all sudden the music sound turns slow and bad when in stby, but when i got the screen running the sound turns fine.. Just as the screen turns black it becomes bad.. Like it goes down on 1 processor and cant handle the music? Iv tried to change the background processor thing, fastboot and factory reset but nothing works... And as i said it works fine with the screen on.. Thats the wierd thing.
Anyone else that got this?

[Q] Rooted phone, screen stays blank when unlocked?

It has done it for a while with any ROM, the screen backlight will go on, and the button lights will go on but the screen picture doesn't show half the time when I unlock it. I can still touch the screen though and it works, but obviously I can't see what I'm doing! This is frustrating and could be terrible in an emergency... What should I do?
Also, when my headphones are in, and the phone detects it as a headset, it will spasm out by turning on voice search, and ringing people repeatedly until I unplug them, it also changes song too on any music app. Any way round this one too?
Thanks
Did you underclock?

Which rom are you using, custom or stock...We will need more details as it can be a setup issue...
Using LeeDroid, but its done the same with Android Revolution and I think MIUI too. I think it could be something to do with the CRT animation but I'm not 100% sure
Edit: I have turned off the animation and the problem is still there

Weird white noise, high pitch sound coming from desire??

Hi all,
I recently flashed my partners desire with Cool3d aces v3. Along with cm new hboot. All is running perfect, but ever since the phone randomly makes a strange sound, like white noise, or a high pitch buzzing.
Its definitely not vibrating and definitely a sound, it happens when the phone is idle, and has even happened when the phone is booting up. The sound only last few a few seconds.
Any1 got any ideas to what this could be?? Or her phone jst haunted?
Thanks.

Hmm... Not seen an issue like that before.
Possibly trying a complete rom reflash could help.
Open the weather, go to settings and disable the sound for the anims. I'm guessing it's just a long delay before it plays for some reason
Thanks for the replies.
I have turned the weather sounds off, so will give that a day or two, to see if the sound is still happenening. If not will try a fresh install from scratch.

[Q] Screen is dark suddenly having to restart

First excuse my English.
I'm here to report something that is happening on my nexus recently.
When I'm using it for a while the screen goes dark having to remove the battery and put again return to normal .
I see that it works normally when the screen is dark, because if I touch the screen it vibrates and performs what is on the screen, but do not understand why she is erasing out frequently, I've used other roms and kernels but it happens even be that the problem is on my player or someone besides me is having the same?
How to solve?

Generally a Kernel Issue. Which Kernel are you using? I had this problem before until I switched kernels and presto. Problem resolved.

[Q] Weird sound bug with Ascend Mate+MIUI 3.12.6

Hi
I have this strange thing happenning on my phone.
Every 27.8 seconds i get a distorted/robot sound on all audio being played.
It lasts for about 2-3 seconds, and everything is fine for another 27.8 seconds.
I know it sounds weird with 27.8, but that was the average time on stopwatch.
Hoping someone could enlighten me about possibillities.
And like I said: Ascend Mate with MIUI 3.12.6.
I have had other versions of Android on it, but only this throws this error.
Im really pleased with this version, except for this thing

Try turning of touch sounds. I've had this issue on most ROMs, and it's earkilling... Turning off touch sounds fixed it for me.

Sound cutting out

Has anyone found a fix for the sound cutting out after a few seconds of a video or game? I have tried the soubdabout app, Turing the USB option off, disable Power save.. Still happening..

I have the same issue sometimes, I've read around the web and it seems to be a mix of software and hardware related, I read a guy suggest removing and putting back the case (in case you have one) and I did that and the sound came back, haven't had the issue again.

Hmm, I keep mine out of a case,.. Yeah I'm not sure what it is, it's a 50/50 between some say software and some say hardware. I would asume that software would of been fixed by now, either Samsung or 3rd party

So I found a solution for the issue in my case, it does seem to be software but it's really weird cause the issue continues in any firmware, it started when I was on 6.0.1 PI2, then I flashed Nougat and had the same problem (I hated it and battery drain was killing me) I went back to 6.0 and changed to the PK2 version and the issue continued, it was really weird cause it would cut out in audio messages, games but not music, I also tried every single suggestion on every forum and post I could find EXCEPT the Soundabout app, today I gave up, installed soundabout, selected media to speakers and bam, problem solved, I still need further testing, but it seems ok for now, keep in mind that I also have "prevent USB audio routing" on and "Easy Mute" off.

Im trying the soundabout app now, I orginally had it set to automatic and was still having the issue, now I set it to speaker and so far so good.
as this worked for me but idk about others... I was told to remove all paired bluetooth devices (on/off doesnt matter) then go to settings>connections>more connection settings>nearby device scanning then turn off... worked for me... (sorry for zombifying an old post but as this is still current with mine and many devices i decided to help)
