Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
1. Why is my phone not deep sleeping?
A: More than likely due to GPS or a rouge app, Run a Speedtest or get a lock on GPS then test deep sleep. If that doesnt solve it use BetterBatteryStats to find the rouge app.
2. What is the battery life like?
A: No one can tell you what YOU'RE battery life will be like, however if you MUST ask its great.
3. My phone locked up and rebooted?
A: If you're using an alternative kernel please report in the thread of said kernel. Otherwise get me the /proc/last_kmsg as a text. I will then bug somebody else that knows how to read this gibberish to tell me what happened
4. Why isnt everything in the screenshots here yet!?
A: As this is 4.2.1 things are still needing to get merged from CM, eventually everything will be back.
5. Can i request that we get such and such feature?
A: You can i will pass it on to Rascarlo however the chances are slim that he will add it, IF its something i really want in the ROM i will see about adding it
6. What do i do with the goodies?
A: With my UBER mods/Theme you flash that, it'll be a zip. Reboot to recovery, flash and enjoy. However the softkeys are a zipthemer. If you dont know how to make a zipthemer in my Signiture i have a link to my Themes, Follow that and in the OP there is a link to HOW-TO's one of which is "how to make a zip themer.

I tested it to make sure things were working... not the longevity of the battery. Flash it yourself and find out.

Hello all, this is a port of rascream by rascarlo.
Originally made for a few devices, like the GSM Nexus S, I decided to port it after seeing a rising interest in the ROM
Big thanks to rascarlo for making rascream and giving me permission to share with the community. Also thanks to simms22, morfic and everyone with euroskank for help and support

reboot
log into google and let it sync
(opt.) push your busybox in the way you want or use Stericson BusyBox
reboot
(opt.) flash kernel since it comes with stock (i would flash trinity)
fix permissions
reboot
I recommend using a kernel from the Trinity series, downloads for those can be found here. I personally use T12 or T11 (EXPERIMENTAL, NON 4.7 BUILDS) both run very well on this ROM
Judging by the change log you may have to install busybox separately
You can use the pre installed busybox app to do so

Just installed and set up my phone the way I like it and WOW is all I have to say. Its speedy looks great (black backgrounds) and it has nice little mods like the AOKP toggles and the volume rocker music mod. I like how its basically the official OTA update and it comes with all the GAPPS you'd expect. I'm using Trinity T122 if anybody cares, thanks fergie and rascarlo!
Thanks fergie!

I get an error trying to flash this using TWRP. After flashing, I reboot and it returns to fastboot mode with message saying "no boot recovery image" in red.
Should I flash in CWM recovery instead?
EDIT: CWM recovery fixed the issue. Guess it was a TWRP problem.
You did flash a custom kernel correct?

Following the instructions in the OP, I was unable to get this to boot either. I am stuck at the SGII logo screen even after waiting at least 10 minutes. I pulled the battery, ran the install again...same thing
Do we need to go back to GB first to flash this?
I odined to el26 like always and it used caulks format 2x zip. Stuck on samsung galaxy sii screen. The flash process is way too short to install a rom. Something not right.

I'll wait until someone confirms it flashes properly. Looks sick though!
I asked about the ek02 kernel and got no reponse from the op. That may be the key.
I try to get out and they drag me back in! Nice, was looking at this over in the Epic (I believe) forum and thought that it wouldve worked good on our phone and now here it is! thanks.

Depends. You want Picasa sync or CM camera features? Me, I've opted for camera and am using the 7/26 Gapps.
Sucks if you're stopping the dropbox, it would of been an instant way to know a new update is out, at least from a PC. Still (mostly) any method of getting PA is good enough for me.
Good to see this here! Thanks again!

I removed the links. I am not aware of devhost having a problem but thought I'd share my unused bandwidth. It's also good in case devhost does go offline. If you ever change your mind I'd be happy to mirror files for you

I would have to upload twice, if I can write a script to do this completely automatically I might resume Dropbox. But for now it will be only devhost because Dropbox is too much of a hassle.
Ah Man,Don't Do that ! Don't Stop Sharing on Dropbox !!! You were doing a great job !!
So I downloaded and installed last night. First let me say thank you!
While it may not seem like much, Blackboard Learn works on this ROM on toroplus, something that was lacking still in CM10. I am still adjusting to the hybrid features and really love what options this gives. Sorting through the custom settings for individual apps is taking some adjusting to but that is with any new ROM. It takes some adjustment.
I have had one instance where I changed the DPI on an app. Email and it asked to reboot. The phone was charging and failed to reboot. I had to pull the battery. I couldn't replicate this issue but I did feel like some feedback should be documented in case someone else experiences this.
I flashed as a clean install after a nandroid of CM10 and then wiped everything.
Thanks again!
Anyone having problems with gmail under the latest sept 17th toro build? It crashes for me no matter what settings I change in paranoid settings. I was able to change settings in previous builds and get Gmail to work...

DISCLAIMER:
I am not responsible for ANY permanent damage you do.
If you do not understand the risks involved in flashing a custom ROM, then it might be time to move on sucker!
Read This Entire Post Completely, Then Read it Again!
I have now started this build with flappjaxxx's permission and will now be releasing new builds as I see fit. I am very new to this and will do what I can but I don't have a huge amount of free time. I have been running the build for a couple days and its been pretty solid.
So what is it you may ask? Well it's
- A major work in process. Don't forget that part. There will be a test.
- A no frills build. Keeping it simple.
- Feature packed with the addition of FJ-Mod Tools, located in the Settings menu.
- A beta build, albeit very stable there are still a few bugs.
- Did I mention its a beta build, albeit very stable there are still a few bugs?
Thanks in no particular order:
Flappjaxx - without him this would not be possible
Nunhugger - You are like a brother
rasroygbiv - Bubbajoe - Bigjoe - Froid - trevino07 - rquiett - studacris - dude6595 - mrvirginia - and the rest of the family even if I did not name you specifically doesn't mean I don't love ya
h0tw1r3 - his contribution to our OTA
ktoonsez - for giving us great kernel option to tweak the crap out of
existz - for being the coolest mofo on XDA
alienmind - for mad help with Tools
JoeDV - for our OTA
Hammerfest - for helping flappjaxx support everything
Chainfire - for SuperSU
My Family!
Everyone on the planet, now I haven’t forgotten anyone.

Agree, make it more attractive. Being a first developer want to make it look good with screen shots, more detailing posts, and things of that nature.

I'm not a dev or mod, but, if you built this ROM from scratch mention that or give a reference (thanks) of where and/or who you asked permission to use and what source code. If not this thread might be closed. Just giving you a heads up!! PS screenshoot would be lovely haha :victory:
